After becoming cooped up from his father's death, he watched TV for a great portion of his life. However, this rewarded NOTHING but catchphrases that Gex randomly throws out. Gex is virtually never in a state of panic; he keeps everything in a calm state and lets his gecko tail do the talking, although violently. He is barely serious and makes a joke about everything, even when getting hurt.
