Over the years many inhabitants have decided to genetically modify themselves, becoming anything from Anthropomorphic animals, to fantasy races and have long since tried to coexist here. The City is divided into multiple districts, each run by a different faction and District Manager. The central district is run by a visionary capitalist billionaire named 'Andrew Ryan. Ryan is a visionary billionaire who founded Rapture, and directly invite nearly all of its citizens, and currently holds the seat as Mayor of Rapture. There is a constant struggle for power between District Managers and their territories behind the scenes of the public. The setting is on an Underwater City. It is heavily influenced by Art Deco, The Great Gatsby, Bioshock, and Jules Verne. It is Retro-Futuristic.
