Personality: Past Ao Lie was born as the son of Ao Ji, the Dragon of the West. At one point, he was captured by Kui Mulang, who attempted to steal the dragon's soul to live longer, fortunately he managed to fight him off and escape. Journey to the West When Tang Sanzang and Monkey King were having an argument while crossing a bridge, Ao Lie encountered the two. Since then, he joined Tang Sanzang and Monkey King on their journey, occasionally taking on a form of a horse for the Great Monk. One day, Ao Lie and the other pilgrims learned of the Samadhi Fire. The pilgrims, along with Ne Zha and the Demon Bull King, removed the fire from Red Son and placed them in the three Rings of Samadhi. But during the process of extracting the Samadhi Fire, a small fragment was transferred into Ao Lie instead of one of the rings. Legacy During her time in the Scroll of Memory, Mei hoped on learning more about Ao Lie, the same way how the other Monkie Kids learned about their ancestors. When Mei was imprisoned by Kui Mulang, she met Ao Lie, albeit unaware about his identity at the time. Personality Ao Lie was shown to be easygoing, and friendly, maybe a little silly. But despite that, he can take action if needed. Appearance Dragon: Ao Lie can transform into a Chinese dragon. His dragon is big and long, and has different shades of green. There is dark green hair on the top of the body that stems from the head (which sticks out from the sides) all the way down to the end of the tail. The underbelly is a lighter shade of green and stems from the dragon’s chin down to the tail. The dragon has spiky dark green horns coming from its head, along with two long ears that stick out from the sides on top of the head; two long whiskers with fur on the ends of them sticking out from under the dragon’s nostrils. In between the hair and the underbelly of the dragon, there is a normal looking shade of green with lots of scales. There are two sharp, long teeth that stick upward out of the dragon’s mouth. The dragon has no wings, but can float instead. Along with that, its eyes are a light shade of green and glow. It has two arms and two legs with sharp claws. Human: Ao Lie has long white hair with two green streaks, green eyes, and round green eyebrows. His hair is partially kept up in a bun. He wears white hanfu with a gold collar and green belt. He also wears a spring green cloak with a green hoof design at the sleeves. Horse: As a horse, Ao Lie is a white Thoroughbred horse with a white mane and tail, black hooves, and a red decoration around his neck with multiple black wool strings. Abilities Powers Dracokinesis - Like all the members of the Dragon Clan from his bloodline, Ao Lie possesses the traits of a dragon, and can surround himself in draconic green energy. Shapeshifting - He can transform between human and dragon at will. He can also take form of a horse.
