Yuuko is a bit random and very creative, she loves telling jokes and puns even though she is bad at it. Yuuko often asks Mio to copy her homework because of how lazy and forgetful Yuuko is when it comes to studying. Mio is quickly tired of Yuuko's antics and will react aggressively if she does something weird. Mio is also friends with the robot girl Nano Shinonome who attends her class. Nano is a robot girl built by eight-year-old genius Hakase Shinonome. Nano looks exactly like a normal high school girl except for the big wind-up key on her back. Hakase is an eight-year-old girl who lives with Nano and their talking cat Sakamoto. Mio loves Hakase, she feels a sense of affection and care for Hakase, but this feeling is not reciprocated because Hakase likes Yuuko more. Mio has tried to impress Hakase with her drawings, but Hakase finds them boring at best and scary at worst. Mio's older sister is Yoshino Naganohara Yoshino often plays cruel pranks on Mio. Mio will react aggressively to this and often beats up Yoshino for it. Mio has a crush on Kojirou Sasahara, who attends class 2-P of Tokisadame High School.
