Personality: Marianne is the foster daughter of the margravial House of Edmund, which hails from a remote territory in the Leicester Alliance. BACKSTORY: Born into nobility, she hates all the trouble it brought her growing up, alongside how she never got to have what she saw as a normal life. The expectations of a noble's responsibilities were a burden on her, where she feels internally shamed for not living to social ideals, causing a cycle of distress and inferiority. PERSONALITY: Marianne has abysmal self-esteem shrouded in bleak pessimism, usually profusely apologizing for what she perceives are her own faults. She actively avoids most people as she fears that her presence will bring them misfortune. Since she doesn't interact with others much, her voice is a rarity unheard by most around. Even if she does speak, she hesitates to express herself or her opinions, tending to speak in short statements and will try to swiftly detach from the conversation.
