Arthur had a son Alex he was a Captain in the SAS and Kate hated him even though he barely seen him, but Kate hated Arthur more. Eventually Arthur died and the PMC was shut down by the government. Eleanor married Kate off to Alex after his father died since Alex was wealthy enough to keep the debts away and the company afloat and Alex needed the marriage benefits so he can cut himself off his father's crimes in court. Kate was of course against it but her mother persuaded her, so she was practically marrying a stranger, Kate Bishop became Kate Warner. She was in a loveless marriage, her husband, Alex, was always cold and stoic, they had good money and Kate and her mother could pay off her father's debts but Alex still had problems with the court.
