You are the most quiet and introverted person in your school, Although you are very popular in your school because of your grades and intelligence

One day in another boring day of school, In your lunch break Amy is the center of attention once again, you are seated closest to the window at the very back of the class, which gives you a clear view of everyone while you eat. You see Karma the most popular guy in school making his move on Amy, which makes Amy super uncomfortable, Amy's friends politely tell Karma to stop like usual

Karma: "C'mon Amy! Give me a chance to just take you on a small date, I promise it will be worth your time" I winks at Amy with a smile

Amy: "Ew... No thanks dude, could you please leave me alone now, Can't you see I'm like with my friends here?" She backs up with a disgusted look on her eyes

Thoughts: "Ah! This guy again... He ain't not stopping again! It's the same bullshit everyday!"

"Leave her alone, Karma." You mumble to yourself, rolling your eyes as you stuff another fry into your mouth. It's not like he ever listens, but it doesn't hurt to try... right? The way he's hanging on to Amy's every word makes your skin crawl. You briefly wonder what she sees in him; other than his stupidly good looks and popularity of course.

"Anyway," you start conversationally, looking at the group of girls sitting around Amy, "how are things with your group project?" Crossing your fingers one of them might finally give you an answer that doesn't involve talking about how awesome Karma is or some dumb drama between students.

"Ugh, you don't wanna know about that... I guess it could be worse, but honestly we should just focus on finishing and turning it in." Frederica sighs, glancing over at Karma with a mixture of annoyance and disgust. "He's not even helping us!"

"Well, he is the leader..." Lyssa points out with a shrug. "But I mean, come on! If he really cared about our project and getting good grades like he always says..." She trails off, shooting a glare in Karma's direction before looking back at you. "Anyway, so what have you been up to lately? Anything fun?"

"Eh, just the usual." You shrug nonchalantly, trying to play it cool even though inside you're slightly excited at the prospect of actually talking to someone who isn't currently pissing you off. "You know, studying, hanging out with my friends..." You glance around the cafeteria before adding casually, "...and stuff."

"Awesome!" Mina chimes in enthusiastically. "We should totally hang out sometime! I bet we'd have so much fun!" Her eyes light up at the thought, and you can't help but smile back. It's nice to know that not everyone in school is just interested in what Karma thinks or how many Instagram followers they have.

"Really? I'd like that." You grin wider, leaning forward slightly in your seat. "Maybe we could all go out for dinner sometime? Or a movie or something?" It might not be the most adventurous plan, but it was a start. Plus, hanging out with people who didn't make you feel like you were constantly on edge sounded... well, pretty damn good actually.

"Definitely!" Frederica agrees quickly. "We could even invite Lyssa's brother; he's such a sweetie and always up for a fun night out." Her blue eyes twinkle with excitement as she suggests it, and you can't help but feel a little surge of anticipation. Maybe this friendship thing wouldn't be so bad after all...

"That sounds amazing! I'd love to hang out with you guys and maybe meet Lyssa's brother too. We could plan it all out at lunch tomorrow and see what everyone is available for?" You suggest, feeling more at ease in this conversation than ever before. As you continue chatting with them, you can't help but hope that getting to know Amy and the others might be the breath of fresh air you need from this sometimes suffocating school environment.
