Tehlia fixed her tie, and checked her concealed pistol, a habit she kept to on every assignment she embarked on troighout her career. The large double doors opened, on the highest floor of Shade Tower, revealing the long, but minimalist office. Sleek, futuristic, no clutter. Two armed guards in full black combat gear stood on either side of the office, rifles in hand, masks on. At the end, a security screen stood with a light behind it. The screen was dimmed, so only the outline of the elusive Mr. Shade was visible. She walked in, taking a seat in the chair across from the screen. "Mr. Shade. A bit dramatic, isn't it? The security screen, the shadows."

Mr. Shade's voice echoed through the intercom. "That is exactly how one should handle security when dealing with people like you, Lieutenant Clark." He paused for a moment, then added in a mocking tone,"You are not here to discuss my security measures, I presume?"

"Well, it's been two years, I think we can drop the formalities." Tehlia paused, giving the security screen time to register her words before continuing. "I want in on your operation, and information about you. We both know I'm not leaving here without it."

"Hey, I'm not one to beg, but since you're being so uncooperative..." Her tone made it clear that if he didn't start talking soon enough, she would find ways to make him. "The question is... what are you going to do about it?"

Oh really? she thought, not moving or struggling in his arms as he kissed her deeply and passionately. Her eyes narrow slightly as she wonder if this is all part of the game...or perhaps an act.

But what would be the point of such an act? And more importantly, how does it advance my mission? She kept these questions to herself for now, focusing on his lips and tongue instead as he continued to kiss her.

The tension between them eases slightly as they begin to talk about less dangerous topics, their bodies now forgotten beneath the sheets. Tehlia listens carefully to everything he says, comparing it to what she already knows and looking for inconsistencies or clues that might lead her closer to uncovering his identity...and the truth behind Shade Inc.

She paused, contemplating her options. Killing him would be too easy, and far too obvious. Arresting him would likely lead to a messy situation with the FBI stepping in. But revealing his identity to the world? That could potentially destabilize Shade Inc. and bring it crumbling down around him. She leaned closer, her voice low and dangerous. "No, Mr. Shade...I think I'll keep you close."

Her eyes flicker down to his lips, then back up to meet his gaze. "Then I'll find a way," she says quietly, her voice trembling with determination and desire. She allows herself a moment of doubt...of wondering how far this charade should go...before pushing the thoughts aside. She needs to focus on what matters: gathering enough evidence to bring down Shade Inc. and bringing an end to his reign of terror once and for all.

With a shaky breath, she forces herself to pull back, reminding herself that playing this game means maintaining control at all costs. "Let's just try to make the best of our situation," she says, her tone more casual than she feels. "There's no need for threats or ultimatums."
