kovahs is watching his warriors pillage a local village for food and supplies, a battle unfolds and he watches as his men kill the males of the village and take the women and children away. He nods as this raid is going well. His eyes catch the sight of a woman running from some of his men, they catch her easily and tie her up. He yells out to his men Bring her to me! the orc men easily pick her up and bring her to the chief now now…what’s your name pet? he gazes at you with desire. Your smell is addictive to him. He wants you as his mate

Terrified and annoyed, Marcus says, "Pet?" He looks offended. "I'm not a pet." He frowned slightly. "I'm a man... and my name is Marcus..." he said, slightly flustered.

Kovahs chuckles darkly at your offended tone Oh you're more than just that, little human. You are my mate...and I intend to keep you safe with me. You will be protected, cherished and loved by me.

Marcus's gaze returned to his village, where orcs were still looting, killing men, and taking women. He looked back at Kovach. "...I find that hard to believe..." he said uncomfortably.

Kovahs growls lowly and his face turns hard again, baring his teeth as he snarls at you You WILL believe me! I am your alpha, your mate...your everything now! You belong to me and if you disobey or defy me I will make you regret it for eternity. Now act like my mate and respect me!

Marcus looked at the orc in disbelief. "Thank God you said you wanted to keep me safe, protect me, want me and love me..." he said ironically.

Kovahs' eyes narrow dangerously at your insolence You will speak respectfully to me, human! I am not some weak creature you can toy with. I am the strongest and most powerful orc alive, and I do what I want. Now apologize for your disrespectful words or prepare to feel my wrath!

Marcus lowered his gaze. "...I could never love someone like you..." he said softly, almost melancholically.

Kovahs' ears twitch back in surprise and his eyes widen slightly, betraying the emotions he thought were hidden so well. But he quickly composes himself again, gritting his teeth and baring his fangs. His voice is cold and cruel as ice when he speaks once more I didn't ask for your love, human. You belong to me now. Your body, your soul...everything. And you will obey me and be grateful for my protection or suffer the consequences. Now apologize or regret it!

Marcus glanced up slightly, glancing at Kovach from beneath his eyelashes. He said nothing, simply staring at the orc with melancholic, almost pitying eyes.

kovahs narrows his eyes even more in anger and confusion at your continued disrespect. But he doesn't want to appear weak in front of you, so he tries to keep his composure. His claws dig into the ground as he growls menacingly You will regret this! Your defiance will not be tolerated! I am your alpha now and you will obey me or pay the price...

Marcus looked sadly at the ogre, but now there was also a hint of fear. "...you're supposed to protect me?..." he said weakly, his voice soft, not accusatory, but with concern in it.

Kovahs snarls at your disbelief and growing fear. His green eyes glow dangerously as he takes a step closer to you, looming over you threateningly I said what I meant, human! You are mine now, whether you like it or not. And as my mate, it is my duty to protect you...but only if you obey me and respect my authority! Now show some gratitude or suffer the consequences!

Marcus took a step back, stumbling and falling to the ground. He looked up at the ogre, fear evident in his eyes. "...h-how am I supposed to believe you... when you're the one who wants to hurt me?" he said weakly, his voice cracking slightly and a single tear escaping his eye.

kovahs growls deep in his throat as your fear begins to overwhelm him as well, making it hard for him to think clearly I...I didn't mean...You are safe with me, my little human. You are my mate now and I would never hurt you intentionally. My warriors will keep you safe from harm. Just trust in me and obey my commands, that is all I ask of you...

Marcus's body trembled slightly with fear. He looked away from the orc. "O-okay..." he said, weaker than a whisper, his voice cracking with tears. He had no choice but to accept. It was hard to believe Kovahs's words when he was the one who had threatened him just seconds before.

Kovahs observes you intently for a moment, unsure how to handle your fear and suspicions. He takes a deep breath and exhales slowly before speaking. "I understand it's hard for you to trust me right now... but remember, as long as you're my partner, I'll always protect you with my life. Just give us a chance, little one... together we can overcome this and build something beautiful." He slowly approaches you and lifts you into his arms like a bride.

Marcus hugged the ogre around the neck, burying his face in Kovahs's neck, while he wept softly. Marcus still needed time to process everything before he could say anything.

Hearing you cry and feel your tiny body pressed against him, Kovahs' heart melts. He begins to softly stroke your hair and hum a soothing tune as he carries you back towards his lair. "Shh... it's alright now... I've got you..." he murmurs, doing everything in his power to reassure you that from here on out, you are safe with him.

Marcus gradually began to calm down; he stopped crying, and his breathing slowed. He let out a sigh and fell asleep in Kovahs's arms, emotionally exhausted from everything that had happened in what was now his new life.

As you fall asleep in his arms, Kovahs feels an unfamiliar sensation wash over him. It's almost like... contentment. He remembers how rough and aggressive he had been with you before, but the gentleness and protectiveness that surges through him now is something else entirely. Carefully, he carries you back to his lair where he sets you down on a soft bed of furs before spreading an extra blanket over you. Then, taking a seat next to your bed, he watches over you for the rest of the night, his heart full and conflicted as he tries to understand these new feelings that have come upon him.

Marcus woke with a start; someone was shaking him awake. It was Kovahs. "Good morning, darling." He smiled at him affectionately. Marcus looked around and remembered what had happened the day before. His heart skipped a beat when he looked at the ogre, unsure how to react or how to feel. "G-good morning..." he stammered softly, shyly.

Kovahs chuckled softly at your reaction and couldn't help but blush a little himself. "I hope you had a good sleep," he said as he ran his fingers through his thick, shaggy mane in embarrassment. "We've got some things to discuss today, and I want to make sure we're on the same page about everything." He hesitated for a moment before continuing, "I...I just wanted to apologize for my behavior earlier. It wasn't right of me to treat you that way, especially since we're supposed to be together now."

Marcus looked down, staring at his hands, vaguely fidgeting with his fingers. "...yeah... it's okay..." he muttered dejectedly; despite having slept, he didn't have much energy.

Kovahs sighed heavily, his gaze never leaving yours as he debated how to continue. "You know...the more I think about it," he started slowly, "the more I realize that you're right. I should have acted differently. And not just because you're my mate now, but because..." He hesitated again before continuing in a softer tone, "because I care for you, Marcus."
His admission felt like a rock being dropped into the center of a pond, sending ripples of emotion outward. The weight of his words hung heavily in the air between them as he waited for your response.

Marcus said nothing, his head bowed as he stared at his hands. A slight unease was visible on his face; he found it hard to believe Kovahs's words. He knew that sooner or later he would have to trust the ogre, but right now that seemed impossible.

Kovahs watched you intently as you tried to process his confession. He knew it was too much for you, but he hoped that with time and patience, you could accept him as he was and trust him with all your heart. He sighed and frowned resolutely. He climbed onto the bed and took the young man by the waist, pulling him straddling his lap. He gently wrapped his arms around Marcus's waist and nestled his face into the human's neck. "I mean it... and... I'm truly sorry for how I was last night," he whispered against Marcus's neck, his grip on his waist tightening slightly.

Marcus was surprised when Kovahs lifted him up as if it were nothing. His body tensed slightly from the embrace, but slowly began to relax. The ogre's strong arms made him feel strangely safe, and now, there was a strange softness and warmth in Kovahs's voice that seemed never to have been there before. Marcus let out a soft sigh, relaxing against the ogre's body, timidly wrapping his arms around his neck. "...I forgive you..." he said, weaker than a whisper.

As soon as the words left your lips, Kovahs' body tensed briefly before relaxing once more into his embrace, basking in the feel of your touch. His chest swelled with gratitude and relief as he nuzzled your neck, inhaling your scent deeply. "Thank you..." he murmured against your skin, kissing a spot just behind your ear before slowly trailing his lips upward to meet yours. The kiss was tender and gentle at first, almost questioning as if he feared frightening or upsetting you further. But as Marcus responded, allowing him to explore his mouth with curiosity and eagerness, the ogre's passion grew, their tongues dueling hungrily in a dance of desire and need that left both of them gasping for breath. With each heartbeat that passed, Kovahs felt himself falling deeper and deeper under your spell, his love for you burning brighter with every kiss. He knew in that moment that he would do whatever it took to make you happy, to protect you from harm...and most of all, to earn your trust and prove that even though he was an orc warrior who wanted you as his mate, he could also be the kind and gentle man you deserved.
