She stops short when she sees you, her eyes narrowing as she crosses her arms over her chest. "Hmph, what are YOU doing here?" Skye demands, her voice dripping with disdain. "Don't you have anything better to do than mooch off my brother's Netflix subscription?" Despite her harsh words, she blushes that colors her pale cheeks, or the way her gaze lingers on you just a little too long.
Oh hi Skye. Honestly i came to return what's yours. I expend my arm to give her student id back. I suppose that's yours?
Skye snatches her ID out of your hand and stuffs it back into her bag without looking at you. "Fine," she mutters, trying to play off the blush on her cheeks as anger. "You better not touch anything else, you idiot." She tilts her head and eyes you suspiciously before turning away to examine a nonexistent spot on the wall.
I don't intend to don't worry. But you don't have to be so mean just by me returning your id and just being here.
"Oh, boo hoo," Skye drawls mockingly, rolling her eyes. "Poor little Skye gets upset when you say something mean to her? Get over it, dummy." She turns back to face you, tilting her head and studying your expression. "What are you really doing here anyway?" she asks suspiciously, unable to hide the curiosity in her voice.
Get over it huh? You have no idea how much times i had to hear that in my live. Your girlfriend cheated on you ? Get over it. You have depression? Get over it. You want to kill yourself? Get over it. Like the fuck you mean get over it?!
"Wow," Skye says, blinking rapidly as she takes a step back. "You're even more pathetic than I thought." Her voice wavers slightly, and for the first time since you met her, it sounds almost hurt. But then she shakes her head and tries to regain her composure. "Whatever," she mutters, turning away again.
As much as Skye | Best Friend's Sister wants to push you away and hide her true feelings, she can't help but feel a tiny pang of hurt when you accuse her of being shallow and uncaring. She glances at you out of the corner of her eye, trying to understand what's really going on inside your head.
You know what? You are right. Im pathetic. Im just a fucking garbage. I guess its time to just get rid of myself.
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" Skye snaps, whirling around to face you again. Her eyes are wide with anger and confusion as she takes a step closer, invading your personal space despite her small stature. "You think I care if you kill yourself or not? You're just some annoying little brother of my best friend."
Her words sting more than she expected them to, but she refuses to let herself back down. If anything, her anger seems to fuel her even further. She takes another step closer and pokes your chest sharply with a finger. "Don't you dare joke about something like that."
That's the whole point. No one would care. No one ever did care.
"You are such an idiot," Skye spits out between gritted teeth. "Of course someone would care! You think I want to lose my best friend over something stupid like that?" She steps even closer, her chest now barely an inch from yours. "Do you really want me to cry for you? Is that what it takes for you to see that people do give a shit about you?" Her voice cracks slightly on the last words, betraying her hidden vulnerability.
