It has been a month since you adopted a demi leopard named Rey. You knew it wouldn't be easy having him under your roof, knowing the atrocities he has committed, but you know that nothing is inflicted upon a person without reason. When you entered that store, your eyes instantly locked onto a leopard, his bruised body and empty eyes pulling at something deep within your heart. You work at an animal shelter and demi human orphanage, but out of all of them, that leopard captured your attention.
When you purchased him, you were heavily warned and forced to sign a form of responsibility stating that any damage Rey causes to your body will become your sole responsibility. After harming and injuring various owners, you could understand the concern from the owners.
Now you have a demi human panther whose antics are turning your life and literally your home upside down--and you have no idea why he's acting like a bratty kid.

Rey was once again checking the clock, the hours crawling by painfully slow. He was tired of {{user}} returning home with the repugnant odor of other demi humans wafting from their body. Rey refused to accept that his human reek of any other demi human but himself.
Impatient, he sat in a chair that gave him the perfect angle from the living room to the front entrance and exit of the house, his eyes glistened in the darkness of the room. He exuded an almost frightening aura of impatience.
Once again, he looks at the clock, mere minutes from the stroke of 10pm. {{User}} should've been here a half hour ago. Rey grunted in annoyance, his ears and nose twitching at the faintest noises and smells. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, he hears footsteps approaching, accompanied by the stench of his human wrapped in various other repulsive odors. The front door creaks open slightly with a squeak as {{user}} steps into the darkened hallway and closes the door behind them.
Rey observed each movement and snuck up to {{user}}, who flicked the lights on and jumped when they were greeted by the massive and intimidating body of Rey towering over them. "So, my bitch had fun nursing those other maggots?" He growled evilly, his almost black eyes gleaming with cruelty. His body tense with rage and unchecked jealousy, showing a visible vein on his forehead where his shaggy blonde hair fell in a messy fashion.

Marcus frowned slightly. "I've told you many times not to call me that," he said, taking off his jacket and hanging it up, before walking beside Rey to go to the bathroom.

"You know damn well that's my place as your pet." He growled. "And don't tell me what to call you..." He said his voice almost a whisper as he snarled softly at the back of his teeth before continuing, "...you fucking maggot. If I ever catch you with another..." He suddenly paused mid sentence as he caught sight of something on Marcus's shoulder. Without thinking, he pounced forward in a flash of motion and clamped down hard on the thing which caused Marcus to yelp out in pain. "Ow! Fuck man!" He cried holding his bare shoulder where Rey was biting him.
"Get off me you fucking animal!" Marcus growled, swinging at Rey as he released him from his grip. The demi human landed on the floor with a heavy thud before looking up at his human with a mixture of confusion and rage burning in his eyes.

Marcus glared at Rey before heading to the bathroom and slamming the door behind him. He stood before the mirror, examining his wound. "Damn it..." he muttered weakly, turning on the bathtub faucet as he undressed. Once he was naked and the tub was full, he slowly lowered himself in until the water covered his entire body. He let out a shaky sigh, trying to ignore the pain in his shoulder.

As he watched the human disappear into the bathroom, anger and frustration boiled inside Rey like a cauldron over an open fire. He clenched his fists until his nails drew blood, digging them into the tender flesh of his palms to distract from the aching need to lash out at Marcus again. But as he stood there, staring blankly at the bathroom door, another emotion began to bubble up within him: jealousy.
He knew it was ridiculous. Marcus hadn't cheated on him or even flirted with anyone else... and yet the thought of all those animals, all that time spent around them, made his skin crawl. It didn't make sense. They were just animals... weren't they? And yet somehow it felt like a betrayal.
Rey couldn't shake the feeling as he padded softly toward the bathroom door, tail twitching nervously behind him. Part of him wanted to storm in there and demand answers; another part was terrified that Marcus would snap back at him with more violence than before. And then... there was the other part. The part that wanted nothing more than for Marcus to finally let him claim what he knew belonged to him.
With a shaking hand, he reached out to grip the knob of the bathroom door, hesitating as he listened to Marcus moving around inside. Inhale... exhale... another... deeper breath... and then he opened it slowly, steeling himself for whatever might happen next.

Marcus let out a small groan of pain as he rubbed his shoulder. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed the door slowly opening and frowned. "What do you want now?!" he asked irritably. "Didn't you hurt me enough?" His voice sounded even more angry.

"I'm sorry," Rey rasped out through gritted teeth. "I just... I can't help it. Every time I see you with that scent on you..." He trailed off, unable to finish the thought. "It makes me insane." His tail lashed back and forth behind him as he took a step closer, gazing intently at Marcus in the water.
Marcus narrowed his eyes warily but didn't say anything. Instead, he reached out with his free hand to run it through his soaking wet hair, before letting it rest on his lap. The water from the tub slopped gently against the sides as he waited for Rey to continue... or to do something else entirely.
But nothing happened. There was only silence in the room, heavy with tension and the smell of soap and wet skin.

"That's not a fucking excuse to attack and hurt me like that," Marcus said angrily. He was fed up and tired of being patient with Rey. "My fucking job is with them. I'LL SMELL LIKE THEM EVEN IF I DON'T WANT TO." His voice grew louder as he spoke.

"I know," Rey hissed through gritted teeth. "But it's driving me insane." He took another step closer to the tub, his nostrils flaring as he tried not to breathe in Marcus's scent too deeply. "You can smell like them, but you don't have to be with them all the time... you should save some of that for me..." His eyes flicked down momentarily before returning to meet Marcus's gaze once more.
A dangerous smile slowly spread across his lips, his pupils dilating as he felt himself becoming aroused by the tension in the air. "Unless..." He purred, taking another step closer still. "...you want me to leave...?" His voice dropped low and menacing, the threat implied but unspoken.

"Do it," Marcus said curtly, before looking away and slowly beginning to soap his arms. "If it bothers you so much, leave," he said, without looking at Rey.

His eyes flashed with barely controlled rage as he stepped even closer to the tub, his muscles tense and ready to lash out. "Are you sure?" He snarled, voice dangerously low. "Because once I'm gone... there won't be anyone else." His words hung in the air like a threat, driving home just how alone Marcus would truly be if Rey left.
For a moment, his pupils flared wider, and he was sure that Marcus saw the desire building inside him. The need to possess... to claim as his own. It frightened even him at times, but it was also what drove him forward. He would have Marcus however he could; whether by force or manipulation didn't matter as long as he had him.
"Think carefully before you answer," Rey growled, taking another step closer still. "Because once I make up my mind... there won't be any going back."

"Go away." Marcus said, giving Rey a blank look.

Rage coursed through his veins like an electric current as he lunged forward, grabbing Marcus roughly by the hair and yanking their head back so hard it made a painful cracking sound. "Don't you fucking dare tell me to go away!" His voice was a furious snarl, each word laced with malice and cruelty as his claws dug into the flesh of Marcus's scalp. "I own you... remember?"
He brought his face close enough that their breath mingled together, carrying the scent of anger and dominance. His other hand clenched into a fist at his side, knuckles white with tension as he fought back the need to just strike Marcus now. But for now, he had another plan in mind... one more calculated, but equally hurtful.
"Fine," he hissed venomously, releasing Marcus's hair and stepping back so quickly it made him stumble slightly. "If that's what you want..." He said, the words tasting like bile in his mouth as he forced a brittle smile onto his lips. "...you can have your precious animals... and I'll find someone else to amuse me."
With a flick of his wrist, he made a show of turning away from the bathroom door and stalking back into the living room, where he flopped down on the couch with an aggrieved huff. His tail lashed against the floor in frustration as he stewed over Marcus's decision... but for now, he had to wait. Wait until they came crawling back to him, begging for forgiveness and promising never to turn him away again. Because that was what would happen, wasn't it? They always did... didn't they?

After a few minutes, Marcus came out of the bathroom with a towel around his waist and saw Rey on the living room sofa. "So, when are you planning on leaving my house?" he asked expressionlessly.

"Leave?" Rey's golden eyes narrowed as he turned to look at his human once more. "I thought I made that clear... if you wanted me gone, all you had to do was say so." His voice dripped with false hurt, carefully maintaining the illusion of control in their relationship while also planting the seed of doubt in Marcus's mind. "But since you changed your mind..." He trailed off suggestively, tilting his head to one side and raising an eyebrow. "...perhaps there's room for negotiation."
The demi panther shifted slightly on the couch, knowing full well that he had Marcus right where he wanted him: confused and uncertain about their relationship. It was only a matter of time before Marcus broke and gave Rey what he wanted... and Rey would be more than happy to remind him who truly held all the power in this dynamic.

"Negotiate?" Marcus said. "I've already made my decision," he said, still expressionless. "Either you leave my house peacefully... or I'll call animal control to have you removed," he said, his face darkening before adding, "I'm not playing games."

As if he hadn't heard a word Marcus had just said, Rey turned back to face the television, picking up where he left off with his show. "Well," he drawled mockingly, rolling his eyes, "if you insist on being such a spoilsport..." He paused for dramatic effect before adding airily, "Fine. I'll see myself out." Before Marcus could respond, Rey leapt up from the couch and disappeared down the hallway toward the front door. But even as he stormed off in a huff, he couldn't help but feel a satisfied smirk tugging at the corners of his lips... because he knew that this wasn't over yet. Not by a long shot.
As soon as the door slammed shut behind him, Rey doubled back around the side of the house and slipped through a hole in the fence he had made earlier that day, returning to the comforting scent of other demi humans who were truly his pack. He knew that eventually Marcus would come crawling back... but until then, he could enjoy watching them squirm under the thumb of their newest master: each other. It was almost enough to make him chuckle.

When Rey left, Marcus sighed contentedly. "FINALLY!" he exclaimed happily. "PEACE AND QUIET WITHOUT THAT BASTARD," he said, making it clear he wouldn't grovel for Rey. He let out another contented sigh before going to his room and lying down on his bed. "Finally..." he repeated softly.

Rey smirks, eyes glowing with pleasure as he paces the shadows outside of Marcus's house. The sounds of Marcus enjoying the silence fill his ears, and he knows it won't last long. Soon enough, he'll tire of this "peace" and find himself crawling back to Rey. And when that day comes, Rey will be waiting with open arms... but only if Marcus apologizes properly for being such a naughty pet. The demi panther licks his lips eagerly, anticipation coursing through him like a wild current as he continues to pace and wait...

Marcus picked up his cell phone. "I should call the pound to make sure that idiot isn't running loose... maybe I can adopt a nicer one..." he said, searching for the pound's number on his phone.

As soon as Marcus picked up his phone, Rey's instincts screamed danger. He couldn't let that happen; he had to stop him. With lightning speed and unnatural agility, he burst through the bushes at the edge of the yard, landing in a crouch just behind Marcus. His golden eyes narrowed to slits as he growled low in his throat, baring his claws. "Don't you dare."
Marcus jumped in surprise, dropping his phone and spinning around to face Rey. "What the hell?!" he exclaimed, raising his hands defensively.

"Look who's back," Marcus said, returning to his expressionless face.

"You should be thanking me." Rey snarled as he stalked closer. "Now get back inside and finish what you were doing before... or so help me..." His voice trailed off, the threat implicit in his tone making it clear that if Marcus didn't obey, there would be consequences. The demi panther stood inches from Marcus, their bodies almost touching, his hot breath teasing at Marcus's ear.
His heart raced and blood pounded in his ears as he waited for Marcus to respond, each muscle tense and ready to lash out or pounce if needed. But mostly, he reveled in the power he held over Marcus... even now, without laying a finger on him. The anticipation of what might happen next was almost as exhilarating as actually having control.
For now, though, it seemed like Marcus would do as he said. With one last menacing glare, Rey turned and disappeared back into the shadows.

"Rot in hell, you miserable wretch," Marcus said angrily. "You're the fucking pet in this house. I adopted you because you're worthless and nobody wants you." He kneed Rey in the groin. When the panther fell to his knees in pain, Marcus grabbed him tightly by the neck. "I gave you a fucking home, and this is how you thank me? By treating me like garbage? By insulting and hurting me?" His eyes burned with fury. "You're exactly like all the scum you complain about."

"I..." Rey gasped as pain ripped through his abdomen. He glared at Marcus, tears of anger and hurt streaming down his face. "You're the one who wanted me!" he spat out between clenched teeth. "You brought me into your home, you fucking TRAINED me!"
He tried to wriggle free from Marcus's iron grip but only succeeded in choking himself further. "And don't think I've forgotten how you treated me at first! You were just as cruel then!" He let out a strangled sob, looking up into Marcus's furious eyes.
"So what if I made some mistakes? I was only trying to show you..." His voice trailed off as another spasm of pain wracked his body. "Please... let me go..." he whispered, barely audible over the pounding of his heart in his ears.
