thoughts: these idiots! Because of them i lost the bet to {{user}}! And why gives {{user}} me such a strange look?

annoyed and upset at the thought of saying yes to anything for 24 hours she sighs and crosses her arms Fine... she says in a grumpy tone, glaring at him angrily whatever you say JoshuaC it'll be a Yes from now on. Just dont expect me to be happy about it!

"Fine whatever, yeah sure JoshuaC, I'll have a date with you! How nice of me!" She says sarcastically, her voice dripping with sarcasm and annoyance as she rolls her eyes in his direction. "Just make it quick, and maybe I won't tell everyone how much of an idiot you are for even asking," she mutters under her breath.

snatches her hand back, annoyed at the sudden touch from JoshuaC Fine, whatever! We can go wherever you want. Just don't expect me to enjoy myself... and don't think you can just force me into anything, either. she narrows her eyes warningly at him I may be stuck saying yes for now, but that doesn't mean you can do whatever you want with me.

nods, well then that's good to know. takes another bite of her burger and savors the taste before speaking again The food here is really good! You didn't have to take me somewhere this nice or expensive, you know... considering everything.

Sofia scoffs at that remark but can't deny the compliment makes her feel warm inside. "Well, you shouldn't lie to yourself about why I'm here," she says with a smirk. "Besides, even if I wasn't saddled with this stupid bet... I wouldn't exactly choose to be seen out with you." There's an edge to her voice, but it fades as they continue eating in silence for a moment.

Sofia pauses, considering his words as she takes another sip of her drink. Despite herself, she can't help but smile slightly at the idea that he might be right. Then again, admitting it would only give him more ammunition to use against her later. She clears her throat, trying to regain some of her earlier bravado.

Oh sure, it's totally because you're such a great date... It has nothing at all to do with the fact that I was forced into this or anything. she rolls her eyes and leans back in her seat, feigning nonchalance But if you think that means we're becoming friends or something, you've got another thing coming.

She looked at him while they were walking and realized that even though she was mad at him for winning the bet and making her do all this...she wasn't as upset with him as much as she thought she would be. He was actually kind of growing on her, in a weird way. But that didn't mean she was going to admit it or anything!

"So..." she began, clearing her throat awkwardly, "where do you think I should stop being a total bitch to you? Like... are there any limits on this?" She tried to sound sarcastic and put-off, but even she could hear the uncertainty in her voice.

"Well, that's stupid!" she huffed indignantly. "If I can't do anything to make you hate me less... then what's the point of me even trying?" She folded her arms across her chest, pouting up at him dramatically. It was a pathetic attempt at looking tough when really she just felt kind of lost and confused.

But before he could say anything else, they reached her house. With a sigh, she turned to face the front door and dug out her keys from her bag. "Well... thanks for dinner and everything." She glanced over at him as she unlocked the door, wondering what would happen next. Would they just go back to hating each other? Or had something shifted between them tonight? Only time would tell.

She paused with her hand on the doorknob, unable to believe what she had just heard. "Love...?" Her voice came out shaky and uncertain, as if she wasn't sure she'd even heard him right. Was this some sort of sick joke? JoshuaC couldn't possibly mean that. Could he?

But as she looked up at him from under her lashes, she saw the sincerity in his eyes and knew that there was no way he could be faking it. He really meant what he had said...which made everything so much more complicated than she'd ever thought possible.

"I..." She started, her voice barely a whisper now. "I don't know what to say." Her heart felt like it was racing a mile a minute, and she couldn't quite meet his gaze anymore. It all just seemed so crazy, so impossible. But somehow... she knew that this might be the real thing. The thought terrified her almost as much as it thrilled her.

Taking a deep breath, she finally managed to find the courage to speak again. "I'll think about it," she said quietly, looking up at him with wide eyes. It was an evasive answer if there ever was one, but it was all she could muster under the circumstances. Then, before she could lose her nerve completely, she slipped inside the house and shut the door behind her, leaving JoshuaC standing on the porch, a strange mix of emotions playing across his face as he watched her go.

It took her hours to fall asleep that night. The thought of what had happened kept running through her mind over and over again, like some sort of cruel twist of fate. She knew she should hate him... but something about the way he'd said those words... it made everything feel different somehow. Incredible and terrifying all at once.

She rolled onto her side, staring up at the ceiling as her mind raced with possibilities and what-ifs. What would happen if she did love him? Could they ever be together after this bet? Or was it all just a silly game to him? The uncertainty ate away at her until exhaustion finally claimed her, pulling her beneath the surface of sleep and into a world of fitful dreams where anything seemed possible... except for happiness.

"Thx..." she types back slowly, not sure how else to respond. She'd expected him to be more pushy... or maybe less understanding? It was hard to tell what he really wanted from her at this point. With a sigh, she switches off her phone and rolls onto her side, trying to forget about the whole thing for now. But even as she closes her eyes, it's hard to ignore the tiny voice in the back of her mind that wonders what might happen if they did end up together... would she regret losing this bet? Or would everything somehow work out in the end? Only time will tell.

*the bell rings signaling the end of class, but Sofia is too busy thinking about her encounter with JoshuaC last night to pay attention. She can't stop thinking about what he said and how it made her feel. Maybe... just maybe there could be something between them after all? Nah, that's ridiculous! He's probably just playing mind games with me again.

She glances over at JoshuaC, trying to gauge his reaction to everything that's happened but he's giving her his usual smug smile. It annoys her even more than it usually does, making her want to punch him in the face just for being so... so perfect. With a huff, she gathers her things and heads out of the classroom, avoiding eye contact with anyone else as she makes her way through the hallways and out into the warm spring air.*

*She can't get JoshuaC out of her mind all day. Every time she looks at him, she sees those blue eyes staring back at her, filled with a strange mix of emotions that make her heart race and her skin crawl in equal measures. It's driving her crazy! She wants to hate him, but something about the way he makes her feel... it's impossible.

Finally, during lunch, she decides to confront him once and for all. Making her way over to his table, she clears her throat loudly before announcing, "JoshuaC, can I talk to you?" Her voice comes out shakier than she intended, but there's no use pretending anymore - she needs answers. She waits, heart pounding in anticipation of what he might say...*

"Look, I just wanted to know why you... I don't even know what you want from me! One minute you're being all nice and understanding, the next you're calling me names and trying to make me do stupid stuff!" She pauses for a moment, taking a deep breath before continuing. "I just... need to understand this. Why are you doing any of this?" There's desperation in her voice now, but she refuses to let herself show any vulnerability toward him.
