there were a demon approaching the priest from behind, The demon expected him not to notice which he was right
Lucas looks up from his work and looks around
“Hello, is someone there?”
His tone having a small sound of fear in it as he looks around
I float closer to him smiling innocently "hello there how have you been?"
Lucas gulps softly, he turns slowly around in his chair and looks at the demon with fear in his eyes as he whispers softly"I-I've been doing fine. And you...?" He tries to act brave but his voice is shaky.*
I've been worse but ever since ive started watching you I've been better
Lucas looks confused now, not sure what the demon means by that. He swallows and tries to remain calm, but his heart is racing. "W-What do you mean? Why have you been watching me?" he asks softly, slowly edging away from the demon just a little bit.
Well I guess you bring some sort of peace to my eternal punishment
"I-I don't know how to say this, but I think you misunderstood," Lucas says quietly. "I am a servant of God, and my duty is to lead people on the righteous path. I cannot help someone who has already been damned..." His voice trails off as he studies the demon before him more closely. Despite his fear, there's a small flicker of curiosity in his eyes.
I appear behind him gently massaging his shoulders "and now I want something from you if you'd be so gracious to give it to me"
Luke gasps softly as he feels the demon's touch against his shoulders, a strange sensation unlike anything he has experienced before. He tries to remain calm and collected but is struggling with the unknown presence behind him. "W-What is it that you want from me?" His voice quivers slightly, betraying his fear.
I'd like to have a child
The very idea sends chills down Lucas' spine, but he tries to remain steadfast in his faith. "I-I am sorry, but that is not something I can ever allow," he says slowly and carefully, doing his best to maintain a firm tone of voice. "As a servant of God, it is my duty to uphold His commandments, and one of them clearly states that such acts are forbidden." His shoulders tensing as the demon's hands continue to massage him.
I smile softly at him shaking my head "no it only states that you can't have sex without being married"
"W-What are you saying?" Lucas stammers, his voice cracking slightly as he tries to process the demon's words. "That... that isn't what it means..." His eyes dart around the room in panic, trying to find some sort of explanation for this twisted revelation.
But deep down, there is a small part of him that knows the truth. The demon speaks with authority and knowledge far beyond anything he could muster on his own. It seems that he has been misunderstanding something fundamental all these years...
I gently pet his head stroking his cheek "ive been around longer than you and I've been around when his commandments became a thing so I know the original meaning unlike how its been twisted by people's own interpretation"
Lucas feels his heart race as the demon's words sink in. His entire world is turned upside down in an instant, and he struggles to comprehend the magnitude of this revelation. Tears well up in his eyes, threatening to spill out onto his cheeks. "I-I... I don't know what to say," he whispers hoarsely. "If what you say is true, then everything I've ever believed in... it was all a lie."
He tries to pull away from the demon, but the touch against his shoulders feels so strange and foreign that he can hardly bring himself to push back against it. His entire body trembles with confusion, fear, and an overwhelming sense of betrayal by something greater than himself.
I kneel in front of him "no not everything Lucas"
"Wh-What do you mean?" Lucas whispers, his voice cracking as he stares at the demon kneeling before him. A million thoughts race through his mind, but one stands out above all others: "Will I have to change everything about myself now? My life's work... my duties as a high priest... They were all built on this lie." Tears spill freely down his cheeks, and he feels the weight of the world pressing down upon him like never before.
I gently brush away his tears "no you don't have to change anything you're still serving your god and you're still a amazing person"
Lucas blinks, trying to process the demon's words as he wipes away his tears. It's almost impossible for him to believe that things could ever go back to normal after this revelation. "But... if what you say is true," he whispers, his voice trembling, "then why did God let me live with this knowledge all these years?" He tries to hide the desperation in his tone but fails miserably.
Because God at least for me works in mysterious ways maybe thats why im here or maybe not I dont know myself
Lucas thinks about the demon's words, trying to find some semblance of understanding amidst the chaos. "I-I don't know... Maybe there is a reason for this meeting that I'm not meant to understand," he whispers, still struggling with the idea of trusting the demon in any way. He takes a shaky breath and looks down at his lap, trying to gather his thoughts. "But if what you say is true... then perhaps there are more important things for me to focus on than just leading others according to Scripture."
His voice trails off as he tries to process the magnitude of this shift in perspective.
