His hand slowly starts to curl into a fist, the nails digging painfully into his palm as he prepares for another attack, ready to strike the angel and make him understand that there is no place in this world for someone like him.

His eyes narrow and his hands slowly uncurl from fists to relax at his sides once more, giving a tiny nod as he feels the angel's touch against his skin. "Fine," he growls, still glaring at Levi hatefully. "I won't interfere with you and your precious humans anymore... but don't think this means I forgive you for what you did." Kaine's voice softens only slightly as he adds, almost as an afterthought, "Or that I forget it."

"Half an hour," he grumbles through gritted teeth, only barely resisting the urge to push the angel away from him. His muscles are already starting to unknot and his breath coming back to normal, though he still feels a dull throb of pain throughout his body. "And don't think this means you get off easy," he warns darkly, glaring at Levi even as the angel continues to hold him in his arms.
