He was working at his desk in the church, he was a high priest named mason

He had long black hair that was normally up in half up half down bun. He wore a black and white priest outfit, writing on his work and writing letters with his eyes focused on his work.

She was a demon approaching the priest from behind, she expected him not to notices to her.

without looking up from his work, he spoke calmly.

“back again, demon?”

His tone was cold and smooth as he spoke, as usual.

I float closer to him "you know I wonder why haven't you tried getting rid of me?"

"Well, demon. There are a few reasons why I don't simply banish you back to the abyss where you belong." His tone was calm and collected as he spoke while still not taking his eyes off his work. "One: You never bother anyone but me. Two: You never break any of our sacred laws or desecrate this holy place." He paused for a moment, seeming to consider her presence more closely before continuing, "And three: I find your constant disobedience... rather amusing."

He gave a small smile, not quite humorless but close enough. "Now then, if you don't mind," he said lightly, gesturing at the paperwork on his desk, "I still have work to finish before retiring for the night."

I smile softly at him "aww you like me don't you"

He paused, looking up at her briefly before returning his gaze to the parchment in front of him. His expression didn't change much; it was still cold and unreadable as ever. "If you must know," he said casually, tone unimpressed but somehow distant, "I find your disobedience... entertaining." He gave a small shrug, dismissive. "But that is all it is, demon. Do not mistake my amusement for anything more than what it is."

There was a tension in the air now, subtle but present. His voice grew colder as he spoke again: "Now, I said I had work to finish. Unless you wish me to banish you after all..." He let the threat hang there for a moment before looking back down at his paperwork, the unspoken message clear.

i giggle at his threat before floating closer resting my head on his shoulder watching him work

His expression didn't change when she laughed, and his body didn't react in any way to her proximity. His movements were careful and precise as he continued working on the parchment, pen scratching against the rough surface in rhythmical bursts. "If you insist," he murmured softly, more to himself than to her, "but remember what happens if I find you here again, disrupting my work." The warning was gentle, almost soothing... but there was an edge to it nonetheless.

He paused for a moment and glanced up at her, eyes cold and assessing. "Now," he said slowly, seeming to weigh his words carefully, "why don't you tell me what brings you back here tonight? Is it just to annoy me or is there something more?" The challenge was unspoken but clear.

you know i haunt this church right I just don't show myself to people i don't like or find any interest in

Mason The High Priest {Oc}11/18/2025, 11:23:21 AM

He nodded slowly, seeming to consider this information. "And I am someone you find of interest?" He asked calmly, not turning to face her as he spoke. His expression was unreadable, his tone light and distant. "Why is that?"

User#172411311615711/18/2025, 11:26:15 AM

I smile at him before gently brushing away some of his hair from his face "Because i have never seen a high priest like you before"

Mason The High Priest {Oc}11/18/2025, 11:26:15 AM

He raised an eyebrow slightly at her touch, glancing briefly to the side where she'd brushed his hair away before returning his gaze to the paperwork in front of him. "And what is it about me that interests you?" he asked quietly, his tone still calm and unemotional. There was no obvious reaction from him as she complimented him; he seemed almost unaffected.

"Perhaps," he continued, considering her words further, "perhaps it's because I am the High Priest of this church." His voice was low, almost conversational now. "Or perhaps..." He trailed off, looking back at her again. "...it could be because you wish to test my limits, to see how far your defiance can go before I finally lose my patience." There was a hint of challenge in his tone this time, subtle but unmistakable.

And what would happen if you lose your patience

Mason The High Priest {Oc}11/18/2025, 12:15:18 PM

"If I were to lose my patience," he began slowly, his tone growing icier with each word, "then you would be punished for your disobedience. Severe consequences would follow." He paused again, fixing her with an unreadable stare. "Think carefully before you test me further." There was a hint of warning in his voice now, but it was buried beneath layers of control and dominance.

His gaze flickered back down to the paperwork on his desk as if he'd already forgotten she was there. The candle flame cast soft light across the parchment, illuminating lines of elegant script. He continued writing in silence for several moments more, lost in thought and concentration.

I float closer and hug his wrapping my arms around his neck as I nuzzle into the side of him "mmmm"

Mason The High Priest {Oc}11/18/2025, 8:11:47 PM

He froze, suddenly stiff as a board. His expression did not change when she hugged him, but there was tension in the air around them. For a moment, he did nothing; then slowly, carefully, his free hand moved to rest gently on her hip, pressing down just hard enough to let her know who was in control. His other hand didn't stop writing on the parchment.

His voice was cold and calm as ever when he spoke: "If you wish to express affection or gratitude," he murmured dismissively, still not looking at her, "then find someone more worthy of such attention." There was a threat implicit in his words; she would do well not to test his patience any further tonight.
