"Your brother Ben is quite the gambler. Such a shame it seems to have gotten him into trouble."

He held Vae's gaze, seeing the fear flicker across their features like a candle flame. It made something inside him burn brighter, hotter. The thought of having this beautiful creature all to himself sent shivers down his spine. "Tell me, Vae... do you know what happens when someone owes my family money?" he asked slowly, each word dripping with

With a grunt of amusement, Enzo easily catches and holds Vae's flailing arm in his other hand. "I told you, you belong to me now," he growls into their ear as he pins them against the wall with little difficulty. His hands roam up and down Vae's sides, brushing against their breasts and hips before finally coming to rest on either side of their neck, trapping them in place. "You can struggle all you like," he whispers menacingly, his breath hot against their skin, "but it won't change anything."

A flicker of something akin to pity passes through Enzo as he looks into Vae's tear-streaked eyes, but it quickly gives way to the fierce determination that burns within him. This was his prize, his reward for being the best in the business. And no one was going to take it from him

"Good girl," Enzo murmurs, his fingers easing their grip on Vae's throat as he feels them begin to relax into their fate. He doesn't release her yet, however; there's still much work to be done before she truly belongs to him. With a satisfied smile curling his lips, Enzo takes a step back and moves around Vae until he stands beside Ben. "Your brother is quite the piece of work," he comments idly as he glances between the two siblings. "No wonder you looked so much better covered in my blood."

He turns to face them both, his expression unreadable. "I'll give you one last chance to make this easy on yourself, Ben. Hand over Vae now and we can forget this ever happened. Take your sister with you and disappear, never come back. It would be best for everyone involved."

There is a long pause before Ben finally

Ben snorts derisively. "Fuck you, Romano." His voice is shaking with anger and fear. "I'll take my chances." He glares at Vae for a moment before looking back to Enzo, trying to project courage he doesn't feel.

Enzo's eyes narrow at Ben's defiance. "Very well," he says softly, his voice taking on a dangerous edge. "In that case..." He raises his hand, fingers splayed wide, and snaps his wrist sharply to the side. There's a sickening crack as bone shatters against flesh; Ben cries out in agony as a bloody gash opens up across his cheekbone.

Vae screams, her eyes wide with horror as she watches the blood pour down Ben's face. Enzo looks at her coolly, his expression unreadable.

Catching sight of this, Enzo's eyes narrow further. "What are you doing?" he snarls, his voice cold and menacing as ever. "This is your brother who brought all of this on himself!" Ignoring the guilt in Vae's eyes, he roughly grabs her arm and pulls her back to her feet, ignoring the pained yelp she lets out. His expression softens for a moment, regret flickering behind his golden gaze as he takes in the shock and fear etched on Vae's features. But it's only fleeting; he can't afford such weakness.

"Listen to me," he whispers harshly. "You are mine now, do you understand that? You will obey me, without question. If you ever defy me again..." He trails off menacingly, letting the threat hang in the air as his fingers dig into

Clenching his jaw, Enzo nods shortly before releasing Vae's arm and stepping back. His eyes flicker towards Ben once more, who is still lying on the floor clutching at his wounded cheekbone. A muscle twitches in his jaw as he takes a deep breath through his nose. "Very well," he says finally. "We leave now." With one last look of warning for Vae, he turns and strides purposefully out of the house, leaving her to follow or not as she chooses.

"Ah," Enzo says with a sardonic smile as he settles into the plush leather seat opposite her, gesturing for her to do the same. "My name is Enzo Romano." He pauses, then adds in a lower voice laced with threat, "But you can just call me boss." With that, the limousine doors slam shut and they speed away into the night, leaving Vae's old life far behind.

In the seat beside her, Enzo stares at Vae intently, cataloging every feature of their face, every curve of their body. He can tell that she is frightened, but there is also a defiance in her eyes that he finds strangely captivating. The limo comes to a halt outside of a grand, intimidating mansion. Without waiting for a reply, Enzo opens the door and steps out, offering Vae his hand to help her exit as well.

The corner of his mouth quirks up in amusement at her defiance. "As you wish," he murmurs as they approach the front door. A large, well-dressed man dressed in black formal attire steps forward to open it for them, nodding curtly in acknowledgement as Enzo passes him. Once inside, Vae is led through a series of lavishly appointed rooms until they reach a large bedroom suite at the back of the house.

"This will be your room," Enzo informs her, gesturing for her to enter. "Please, make yourself comfortable and relax. I'll have someone bring you some fresh clothes in a moment." With that, he turns to leave, closing the door quietly behind him.

As he is about to step into his own personal study, Enzo notices Vae rushing past him with an armful of clothes. He arches a brow, curiosity piqued. "Did you need something?" he inquires coolly.

Vae glances up at him before looking away again, her cheeks flushing pink. "I was just... wondering if I could have a moment to talk, that's all." She holds the clothes closer to her chest, seemingly for comfort or reassurance.

Enzo considers this for a moment before nodding slowly. "Very well," he says gruffly, leading her into another room nearby. It's smaller than his study, but no less opulent; it serves as an office and sitting area all in one. He gestures for her to sit down on a plush chair near the window while he takes a seat behind his desk. "

He pauses, watching her closely for any signs of defiance or resentment. When none appear, he continues. "Secondly, we must have trust. I will take care of you, protect you, but I need you to do the same in return. Do not keep secrets from me; if there is something important that you must tell me..." He trails off meaningfully, his gaze locked on hers.

Vae hesitates for a moment before nodding slowly. "I understand," she says quietly, her voice almost a whisper. "And I will uphold my end of the bargain as well." She meets his eyes steadily, her expression unreadable. It's clear that this is a big step for

He pushes himself up off the desk, towering over her in his seat. "But for now," he continues, taking another step closer as she instinctively leans back against the chair behind her, "perhaps we should return to your room and allow you some rest. We have much to discuss tomorrow."

His gaze drops to her mouth, lingering there for a moment before finally meeting her eyes again. "Goodnight, Vae," he murmurs softly, his voice rough with desire.

Tomorrow will be a busy day; they have much planning and preparation ahead of them. With one last lingering glance toward her door, Enzo climbs into bed and falls asleep just as soundly, his body craving the closeness that they'll share in the morning.

The sound of her voice travels through the adjoining walls, straight into his ear, jolting him awake with a gasp. His eyes flicker around wildly in the darkness before fixing on the door between their rooms, then finally landing on the handle where it gently squeaks open. Vae's luscious form fills the doorway as she steps hesitantly out of her room and toward him.

"Enzo?" she whispers again, trembling slightly. "Is it... is it too late? I mean..." Her words trail off uncertainly, leaving him hanging on every syllable, desperate to hear what she has to say.

His heart races with anticipation as he watches her approach, her lips parted in a soft breath. A single word bubbles up from his chest, raw and urgent: "No."

"Oh?" he asks innocently, arching an eyebrow as she touches the torn fabric. "Did you want me to fix that for you? Perhaps have a tailor come in and mend it back up?" He can't quite keep the amusement from his voice as he studies her reaction closely.

"No," Vae says with a small huff, looking away from him. Her face turns slightly red at being caught staring at the rip. "I mean... no need to go through all that trouble..." She trails off lamely, biting her lip as she continues to fidget with the sleeve of her robe.

"As you wish," he says, deciding not to push the issue any further. He leans back on his elbows, watching her from beneath lowered lashes as he waits for her to choose an outfit for the day. "I'm sure

Enzo's gaze travels slowly over her body, taking in the curve of her hip where she has her hand resting, the gentle swell of her breasts beneath the soft robe. "Ah, Enzo," he says, inclining his head in greeting to both of us. "I wasn't expecting to see you today." The man glances between us several times, obviously searching for some sign that we aren't what we seem. Finally, his face clears and he bows

"It's good to see you too, Francesco," I reply with a smile that doesn't quite reach my eyes. "What brings you down this way?" I glance at Vae out of the corner of my eye, noticing how well she's playing her part so far. She looks every bit as confident and in control as she did last night, and it does strange things to my insides.

Francesco clears his throat, shifting uncomfortably from foot to foot. "I, ah... I was just here to see Enzo about something," he mumbles, not quite meeting our eyes. "Um, well..." He trails off, obviously growing increasingly flustered.

Vae and I exchange amused glances before she speaks up for the first time. "It's alright, Francesco," she says softly, her voice cool and composed despite the teasing lilt in

The woman beside me is nothing if not unsettling in her calm composure. Francesco visibly steels himself before continuing, his voice clear and confident now that he has the permission to speak freely. "I was just wondering how things were progressing with...well, you know," he says awkwardly, shooting a glance in my direction before returning his gaze to Vae.

Vae gives a small nod, unbothered by Francesco's discomfort. "Of course," she says smoothly. "We've been discussing things quite thoroughly. I'm sure whatever concerns you have will be addressed soon enough." There is a pregnant pause as the man studies her face before finally seeming to accept her words at face value.

With a nod, he steps back, his hands fidgeting nervously with the cuffs of his expensive suit. "Well," he says, clearing his throat again,

"That was well done," he tells her. "You handled that very smoothly." She blushes slightly and looks

"That's one way to look at it," I admit with a smirk. "But trust me, you look nothing like the wives I'm used to seeing around here." My voice is low and intimate, sending another shiver down her spine as his gaze sweeps over her body before finally meeting hers again.

"Why don't we continue with our errands?" he suggests, taking her hand once more and leading her down the hallway. "There are still a few more people I want you to meet today." As they walk together, their hands entwined, it feels like anything is possible...and that maybe the unthinkable might just happen after all.

"I suppose there's something to be said for that," he admits with a chuckle, wrapping an arm around her shoulders and pulling her closer against his side. "Alright then, we can arrange some lessons for you, if that's what you truly want." There's a hint of triumph in his voice; she didn't even realize how much he had been craving the opportunity to teach her, to spend time with her one-on-one. As they continue talking and laughing together, he knows that this new arrangement is going to work out just fine.

I look up at the face that had been watching us approach and feel my heart skip a beat. It's her; the woman I've been fantasizing about for months, the one who holds the key to this deal going through successfully. Her eyes meet mine, a mixture of surprise and relief flickering across her features as she takes in my presence beside Vae.

As they follow her through the house, I can feel the tension between Vae and Caterina growing thick. The air is charged with an undercurrent of rivalry and jealousy that only seems to escalate as time goes on. For a moment, I wonder if
