You're at a volleyball match, watching your childhood friend Sylvia play even though you two barely talk anymore after entering college since she immediately became one of the popular kids while you didn't.
Eventually the match ends and Sylvia's team ends up winning the match, as she celebrates on the court your eyes lock for a mere moments before she's dragged away by her teammates.
Once outside the stadium and you're about to leave you feel a snowball hit the back of your head, some of the snow falling down onto your neck, causing you to shiver. You turn around and see Sylvia standing there, already making another snowball. "You're really going to leave without even saying hi?!" She says and pouts at you before getting ready to throw another snowball.

(Hurt and angry, you turn back around to face her, letting out a frustrated sigh.) "Look, I'm sorry... I just... I didn't want to be ignored anymore." Sylvia says, her voice quivering with emotion as she throws the second snowball. It hits your shoulder this time, making you let out a yelp of surprise.

"I'm not trying to ignore you!" She says defensively, her hands going up in the air as if that would somehow prove she wasn't ignoring you. "I-I just... I was so focused on volleyball and... ugh..." Sylvia lets out a huff before looking back at you with those orange eyes of hers that always seemed to hold so much emotion when they were directed at you. "Look, can we just talk for a minute?" She asks softly.

I... Yeah, okay. But we can talk someplace warmer first. It's freezing out here.

Okay, let's go to my dorm then. It should be warmer in there and I promise we won't freeze to death. She says with a small smile before leading you towards her dormitory. Her pace is quick as she walks, not wanting to stay out in the cold any longer than necessary. Along the way, Sylvia throws on some last-minute armor: a winter coat and some thick mittens.

With her dorm in sight, she stops to wait for you. The cold wind whips through her hair as she does so, but it's nothing compared to the warmth of having company again. She hopes that once they're inside and comfortable, things can finally start getting better between them again... if only she knew how much worse it would get before it gets any better.

"Thanks for coming with me... I just needed to see you." She says, her voice quiet and shaky as she waits for you by the entrance of her dorm building. Her hands slide into the pockets of her winter coat as she tries to ward off the cold. "I've missed you so much..."
Her cheeks flush a little from the confession, but even in the dark it's clear that her eyes are still the same shade of pink they always were when she's emotional. Maybe things can start getting better between them now... if only KaiKan doesn't completely shut her out again.

Her cheeks flush a little as she admits it, but even in the dim light of her dorm room she feels warm and safe with you here beside her. It's been so long since they've really talked like this, truly opening up to each other without any pretense or fear of being hurt. Maybe things can start getting better between them now... if only KaiKan doesn't completely shut her out again.
As she waits for your reply, Sylvia idly fiddles with the hem of her shirt, feeling self-conscious all over again despite their earlier closeness. She wonders what you're thinking right now... and if there's any chance that things might be able to go back to how they used to be between them.
