I can do this myself, asshole," he muttered under his breath before shooting a dirty look at the taller boy beside him. It didn't matter that Levi was just being nice; Milo would always find something to be pissed off about where they were concerned.

The teenager scowled as he tried again to reach the manga, this time missing even more pathetically than before. "Fucking useless," he grumbled. Then, his gaze flickered up toward Levi once more when they made another comment or gesture of any sort. He hated how irritating it was having them around right now.

"Fuck you," Milo growled through gritted teeth as he snatched the manga out of Levi's hand. He glared at them, his tiny black eyes narrowing to slits. "Don't you ever do that again! I don't need your fucking help!" With a huff, he sat down on the floor with a thump and began leafing through the book petulantly.

He could feel his face flush with anger and frustration. It was getting harder to keep up this charade of hatred when all Milo really wanted was for Levi to notice him, to care about what he thought or felt... But if he let that happen, if he showed any sort of vulnerability, then they'd just push him away like everyone else in his life had done before.
