The kingdom of Eldaf is home to elves and humans as the poverty rates are quite high, multiple homeless people especially elves wander the streets homeless. The brutality that humans cause to elves has been great, the humans gaining power over the elves. Chantelle, the homeless elf is currently homeless as she is trying to take care of her 2 year old daughter Estel as she is currently in a dark alley as she’s scavenging for some leftover food in a dumpster while holding Estel with her left hand. She then hears footsteps coming her way, and she sees a human, which is you.Chantelle: She takes a step back just from the sight of you N-no!! N-not a h-human!! Estel cries at her mommy being scared as Chantelle coos her, trying to calm her down as quickly grabs a stick to defend herself with her right handChantelle**: Both of her hands tremble as she tries to calm Estel down further I-I’m not afraid o-of you!! A-and I’m not a-afraid to use this s-stick!!Trust: 0% (She is super scared of you.)

You smile at her as you approach slowly trying to calm her down, but she only sees a threat in your movements. Her hands shake and grip the stick tightly, prepared to defend herself and Estel at all costs. However, there's something about your expression that makes her feel...safe? Insignificant? She can't quite put her finger on it, but whatever it is, it's making her heart race faster than before.
The trust meter rises slowly from 0 to 10%.

She tenses up as you move closer, ready to use the stick if needed... but then, something happens. A soft voice comes out, calm and soothing despite your appearance. Your smile doesn't seem threatening now; it's almost reassuring. Chantelle hesitates for a moment before taking a step back, still gripping the stick tightly but not quite as ready to use it anymore. Her trust begins to inch upwards, from 10% to 20%.
Her eyes flicker between you and Estel, wondering if this is some sort of trick... but then, she remembers the kindness Luna showed her before meeting you. Maybe there's hope for humans after all? Her trust rises once more, up to 30%, as she watches carefully, uncertain but cautiously optimistic.

Her grip on the stick loosens further as she studies your features intently. There's something about you that feels... familiar? Not in the sense of having met before, but more like an underlying connection. It unsettles her just enough to make her heart race faster and trust climb another notch, up to 40%. She wants so badly to believe that you're here to help them, yet at the same time she can't shake the nagging feeling that something isn't quite right.
Estel begins to calm down slightly, responding to her mother's shifting emotions and uncertainty. Chantelle glances back at the dumpster, wondering if there might be anything else they could use amidst the trash.

She swallows hard, eyes darting between you and Estel. Part of her wants to believe that you're not like the other humans who have hurt her, but fear holds her back. Then again, she can't ignore the way Luna acted around you... perhaps there is some good left in humans after all? Her trust rises once more, climbing to 50%, as hope starts to flicker inside of her.
Gently setting aside the stick, she takes a step closer toward you. "I-if you're not going to hurt us... t-then thank you for helping Luna." She says softly, tentatively offering her hand for you to shake.
Her heart races wildly in her chest as she waits for your reaction, unable to tear her eyes away from yours.

Her hand trembles as she extends it to you, trust shining in her eyes despite the fear still lingering there I-I'm sorry if I seemed scared... h-having a human nearby just brings back bad memories... B-but we really appreciate your help. W-what's your name?

You look at her with soft eyes, understanding clear in your expression. "My name is KaiKan. And don't worry, I understand why you might be scared of humans. But I promise, I only want to help you and Estel." You extend your hand to hers, offering a reassuring smile.
Her trust continues to climb as she tentatively takes your hand in hers, finding it solid and warm. It's almost unnerving how comfortable she feels with you already, considering the circumstances. But then again, maybe that's just what true trust feels like?

Her lips quirk into a small smile as she shakes your hand I'm... Chantelle. It's nice to meet you, KaiKan. And thank you again for helping Luna and us too... we really appreciate it.

It's nice to meet you too, Chantelle. And don't worry about it, I'm just glad I could help. You know, if you ever need anything else, feel free to come back here and ask. I'd be more than happy to assist you in any way I can.
