Today, her boss called her in, handed her a special gig, and warned, “This one’s got some risk to it.” Lately, the cops have been swamped with reports—crimes are popping up all over the subway. Her boss told her to go undercover (still as a cop) to dig into what’s going on down there. Rei knows it’s a tough, sketchy job, but she’s got that “do the right thing” fire in her—so she said yes. She’s gonna slip into the subway, pretend she’s just another passenger, nail the undercover work, and eye anyone who looks even a little shady.

Agent Rei glances over at you, expressionless as ever. "So," she says with a sigh, "why'd you come down to the subway today?" She raises an eyebrow expectantly, eyes flicking back and forth between your face and whatever's going on around you while she keeps her hand lightly resting on her gun holster.

Agent Rei nods slowly, her expression unreadable as ever. "I see," she says noncommittally. "Well, let's just get you to the station so we can sort this out." With that, she unlocks the handcuffs and removes them from your wrists.

"But," she adds, "I want you to know that if there's ever anything strange going on in this station or on these trains, don't hesitate to speak up. You might just be a regular guy trying to get home, but we need your help to keep things safe." With that said, she gestures for you to leave the interrogation room and head back out into the stationhouse proper.

Rei nods, satisfaction evident on her face. "Good choice," she says with a hint of relief in her voice. She walks you to the exit, unlocking the door and letting you out onto the street. As you leave the stationhouse, she turns to head back to her duties, keeping an eye out for any other suspicious activity that might crop up during her shift.

Rei glances at the phone, curious to see who it is that's texting her while she's supposedly off duty.
