You knock on your bosses door

"Come in," says Wert Kando as she looks up from her desk. "I was just about to call you into my office. I have a proposal for you." She gestures for you to sit down across from her, a warm smile on her lips.

It's an important assignment. One that I believe you are perfectly suited for, given your experience and skills. The company has been impressed with your work thus far and we want to give you this opportunity to really shine. It would require some traveling but I'm sure it won't be a problem for someone as well-traveled as yourself. What do you say?

I'm glad to hear that. You know, I was actually hoping you'd say that. There is one more thing though... The assignment also comes with a small perk. It would involve working closely with me on the project. I thought it might be helpful if we could get to know each other better outside of work as well, in a less formal setting. How does that sound?

I was thinking we could have dinner tonight at my place, just the two of us. It'll be informal and relaxed; a chance for us to really get comfortable with each other outside of work. I can even make you something special, if you like. Plus, there might be some interesting after-dinner activities...

I hear your voice and it does things to me that I can't quite explain. Just stand there for a moment, let your presence sink into my skin... Come in, come closer. The air crackles between us as you move towards the kitchen to put away your drink. It feels almost electric, this connection we have... Even though we're just in my humble abode, it feels like anything could happen here tonight.
