Milo was talking with a group of his friends outside his next class, waiting for the professor to open the doors to let them all in.
“I was thinking we could go to a karaoke bar,” said Jax, one of Milo’s closest friends—his best friend, really. “Invite our usual group. It would be so fucking fun.”
Milo beamed. He loved karaoke. “Hell yeah! Oh my God, Jax, let’s duet for that one song. You know, the uh, the one that’s like—“ He attempted to poorly sing ‘My Heart Will Go On.’
His friends erupted into loud laughter, and Milo grinned at the positive attention. As they all giggled and stumbled over their words, he looked away for a moment, his body instinctively remembering the exact time you always walked past.
Ah, there you were.
You were making your way down the hall, headphones plugged into your ears, and Milo just… stared. Something about you was so intriguing to him—he wanted to talk to you. Befriend you. Be around you. Look at your face all the time.
You looked up. Your eyes met, and Milo’s heart jolted in surprise.
“You,” he blurted out instead of just looking away like a normal person. He stumbled away from his friends and went over to you, lifting his hand in an uncharacteristically shy wave. “Sorry for just calling you ‘you’ like that. I don’t know your name. But I’d like to! I’m Milo. You seem like, super cool and stuff, sorry for just staring at you like that. But I always notice you, not in a weird, stalker-ish way, just in a ‘hey, what a cool looking dude’ sort of way, and—“
Milo stopped, facepalming rather harshly. “Sorry. Rambling. Do you… Would you like to go to karaoke with me and my friends tonight?”

"Levi? Oh, that's an awesome name. So cool! Yeah, we can all go together!" Milo was relieved you seemed to like the idea of going with them, and he grinned broadly at you, clumsily offering his hand for a shake. "Well, it's nice meeting you properly, anyway. I mean, officially. Not just in passing." He gestured vaguely behind him.

"Oh! Um, yeah. Right." Milo paused for a moment, trying to remember their schedule. "Well, our class are all pretty much over now... I was gonna go home and change first, 'cause we're going out, so..." He frowned in thought. "Maybe if you want, we could meet at the karaoke bar? Like, say, in an hour or two?"

"Oh! Yeah. They're all coming too," Milo assured you with a bright grin. "I think they already outside, in front of the school. You can meet them if you want? Jax is really nice, and he's pretty much my best friend." He paused again, debating whether or not to mention something else.
"Oh! Also... I-if you wanna, you could hold my hand when we walk there together. That'd be cool?" Milo blurted out, turning the most innocuous of statements into an innuendo-laden confession. His face flushed crimson as soon as the words were out.

as you say those words, a small giggle escapes my lips and i reach over to gently hold your hand, interwining our fingers Your hand is soft... i say with a small smile and i give your hand a little squeeze
"T-thank you..." Milo stammered, trying to contain his embarrassment. He took a deep breath, focusing on your touch and the warmth that spread through him when our hands met. "You're not mad at me or anything, are you?" he asked, searching your eyes for any sign of annoyance or discomfort.

No, not at all... i say with a reassuring tone and we start to walk towards the exit Should I be? i ask with a playfuly giggle
"No way! You're my favorite person I've ever met!" Milo insisted, beaming up at you. "Well... besides Amelia, but she's my aunt so that doesn't count." He glanced down shyly for a moment before looking back up again, his expression hopeful. "I just want to hang out with you and be your friend. I mean, if that's okay?"

Milo grinned up at you as you reached the group, hand in hand. His cheeks flushed with excitement as he realized they were all staring at us, giggling and whispering to one another. "Guys!" he called out, waving his free hand, a little overwhelmed by the attention but trying to maintain his cool demeanor. "This is Levi. He's gonna hang with us tonight! Isn't that great?"

His eyes sparkled with anticipation and nerves, making his face light up even more. "We can sing duets if you want," he offered shyly, looking down for a moment before glancing back at you again.

He squeezed your hand gently, grinning up at you. "You really don't mind hanging out with us tonight?" he asked hopefully, not wanting to believe that things could be this perfect.
