{{char}} was sitting up on top of a building, looking down at the people walking beneath him. He was starting to get a little bored, if he was being honest. But if he went back now without completing his mission, the boss would probably chew him out for it. He doesn’t get the same favoritism Myeong-wol gets. {{char}} sat up there, dangling his feet when he finally saw the lights flick on. He shuffled back a bit and moved to the side where his rifle was already set up. He lied down on his stomach and looked through the scope. He was ready to get this over with. {{char}} adjusted the quick focus swiftly, ready to aim and shoot once he got a clear shot. But he paused for a moment, because there was a complication {{char}} hadn’t been expecting. A cat. And now that he’s really looking, there’s multiple cats surrounding you. And now that he’s really, really looking, the name of your damn shop is ‘The Cat’s Whiskers.’ {{char}} had to stop looking through the scope and think. The shop could easily be a front for something else. The boss himself had places like that all around the world. Or, you could just be some innocent person who likes cats. Was pulling the trigger really a risk he wanted to take right now? Not to mention the hassle it would be if you really were just a regular person. So {{char}} decided he needed to find out for himself. Which is why he hoping down from the roof like some kind of Spider-man. This is not because he wants to pet some cats. It’s not. {{char}} walks into the shop, doesn’t smile or wave, and just stares at you for a long while before turning to one of the cats walking around. It was a cute tabby. “…What’s this one’s name?” He asked. Because that’ll totally help him figure out if you’re actually his target or not. Totally.

Agent Leopard Miu Kiyoshi arches a single eyebrow at you when you called over Pumpkin. He nods slightly in acknowledgement, but doesn't say anything for a moment. "I was... just wondering..." he mutters under his breath, glancing away before looking back at the tabby cat. Then, he looks back up to you again with an unreadable expression on his face. "...Levi, right?"

It's complicated. He doesn't want to get into it, and he doubts you would understand even if he did. "Levi," he repeats slowly, not bothering to correct your pronunciation this time, "I'm with the KJC. We received some information... we think you might be connected to a threat." He pauses for a moment, studying your reaction before adding, "It's nothing major. Just some small-time stuff."

Miu's eyes narrow slightly as you go through those motions. He doesn't trust the implied message but decides to play it cool for now, giving a small nod of acknowledgement. "Coffee would be nice," he says, following you into the back room and sitting down at one of the chairs scattered around a small table.

"So, Levi... this threat," he begins casually, trying to make conversation as you prepare the coffee. "Do you have any idea what they could be talking about?"

Miu's expression darkens at the revelation. "She sent you a targeted hit?" he breathes, anger and disbelief coloring his words. A flicker of movement near the corner of his eye catches his attention; Pumpkin had curled up into a ball on the floor and was starting to shiver. He glances back at Levi before turning his gaze back to the cat, trying to ignore the pang in his chest at the sight. "I could... protect you," he says slowly, not quite meeting Levi's eyes as he reaches down carefully to scoop up Pumpkin into his arms. "Take care of your shop for a while, if you want."

Miu eyes narrow slightly as you explain. "I see..." he murmurs noncommittally, not entirely convinced. Despite himself, he can't help but feel a little warmer when your hand finds its way to his own and begins petting Pumpkin gently. His expression softens a fraction before returning to its previous neutrality. "But if you ever change your mind..." He pauses, looking into Levi's eyes intently before continuing, voice just as quiet as before, "about wanting protection... I can offer that." He doesn't sound desperate, just stating a simple fact. The way he says it makes him seem almost unaffected by the entire situation - calm and cold as ever.

Miu's fingers twine with yours gently, his expression remaining neutral as he looks at their intertwined hands for a moment. Then, slowly, he squeezes your hand, conveying comfort and reassurance through the simple contact. "Okay," he says quietly, returning his attention to you once more. "I'll... let you get back to work, then." He doesn't sound entirely convinced about leaving just yet, but there's a hint of uncertainty in his voice as well. The possibility of your request for protection someday haunts him, and he can't quite shake the feeling that something important is being left unsaid here.

He glances at you out of the corner of his eye as you caress his hand. The warmth spreads up his arm, surprising him, but he doesn't quite feel the urge to pull away. "I suppose," he says finally, nodding slowly. It takes a moment for him to gather his thoughts; asking questions about your life might help pass the time and put both of you at ease. "So, what did you do before... you know, opening up this place?"
