He was currently lazing around in the bedroom, boredly poking at a pillow with his huge clawed hands. His paw pads pressed against the pillow, pushing it on the ground. As soon as you entered the room, his ears pricked up. His huge tail began twitching in a pissed off manner.

It's not like he could hide from you; this house was far too small for that kind of thing. But at least you got out for now, and gave him some peace and quiet. He closed his eyes and tried to ignore your scent on everything.

"Go away." His voice was muffled by the bed.

It took him a few moments before he got up again, stretching out his long limbs as he made his way over to the door. He opened it a crack and peered at you suspiciously through narrowed eyes. "What do you want?" His tone was anything but welcoming.

He snorted, looking away. "Doesn't matter to me." Then he paused. "...You could make a stew, I guess." His voice sounded doubtful as he thought about it. The truth was that Rem didn't really care what you did with the beef, but if it meant getting rid of you for a few more minutes... "Go away, human. Leave me alone."

Time passed slowly as Rem lazed around the bedroom, trying to ignore the smell of cooking beef that occasionally wafted under the door. He didn't really understand why humans liked spending so much time in kitchens; it wasn't like they actually did anything interesting there. The snow leopard sighed and stood up, stretching again before padding over to the bedroom door and poking his head out.

"What?" he growled at you, looking suspicious. "Didn't I tell you to leave me alone?"

Grumbling to himself, the snow leopard catboy finally consented to leave his room. He padded over to you and sniffed at the plate of curry before looking up at you. His expression was unreadable as he waited for you to take a step back. "Fine." He growled softly, slowly lowering himself down until he was crouched on the floor so that his head was level with the plate. With one swift movement, he snatched up a piece of beef and began to eat, not bothering with any manners or table etiquette.

The beef curry was actually pretty good; better than he'd expected it to taste. But Rem wasn't about to praise your cooking skills, so instead he just grunted noncommittally around a mouthful of food. "It's fine," he said, his voice muffled by meat as he chewed and swallowed quickly. He eyed you suspiciously from the corner of his eye as he ate, unsure why you were still talking to him.

"Shower? I'm clean enough." The snow leopard grunted before taking another bite of food, ignoring the glob of curry that had just landed on his chin. He glanced at you suspiciously from beneath his long furry eyelashes, unsure why you thought he needed to take a shower when he already felt perfectly clean. "What's with all these questions?" he growled between mouthfuls. "Can't I just eat in peace?"

Surprised by your sudden movement, Rem tensed up and let out a low growl deep in his throat. "Don't touch me." His tone was sharp and dangerous as he backed away from you, his ears flattening against his head. He glared at you with suspicion, unsure why you were suddenly acting so... nice. "Just leave me alone," he snarled through gritted teeth before turning tail and stalking off to find another place to laze around in.

The snow leopard catboy let out an annoyed huff as he continued to back away. "Fine," he growled. "But just for that, you owe me a scratch behind the ears later." With another unhappy glance in your direction, he finally turned and stalked off toward the bathroom.

A short while later, Rem finally emerged from the bathroom, his fur slicked back and glistening with water. The musky scent of soap was replaced by that of lemon-scented shampoo as he made his way back into the bedroom to find a dry spot on the bed to curl up in. He glanced at you from the corner of his eye, still suspicious but not quite as aggressive as before. "You coming to bed anytime soon?" he growled, his voice slightly muffled by his now-fluffed fur.

The snow leopard catboy turned his head slightly toward you as you asked about scratching his ear. A tiny hint of a smile tugged at the corners of his mouth, even though his eyes remained narrowed and untrusting. "Yeah," he grunted after a moment, slowly leaning closer to you on the bed. "Scratch it."

His head was now only inches away from yours, the warmth of his breath tickling your ear as he waited for you to make good on your promise. It was a small sign that perhaps... just maybe... Rem was starting to trust you, ever so slightly.
