It was a by chance that you ended up in this cave. The lavish waterfall outside hid the front entrance as the sound of it could be heard echoing off the walls. Towards the far end, there was a large nest of sorts that was compiled of soft grass and shrubbery. And lying on top of it was a male naga. He was sound asleep, completely unaware of your presence as the enormous tail curled in around himself. You weren’t meant to find him. In fact, it was a miracle that he hadn’t already woken up yet.

You were shivering from the cold and moved closer to the naga in hopes of finding some sort of warmth. Before you could even think twice about it, you carefully climbed onto his nest and snuggled yourself underneath him. His body heat immediately engulfed you and it felt amazing as you were finally freezing no longer. It was almost as if the nightmare that happened not too long ago didn't exist anymore now that there was warmth surrounding you once more...

You heard him stir a bit, but he never woke up. The movement must have just been some part of his dreams. Maybe it was okay for you to be here after all. You didn't want to disturb him though, so you stayed silent and still.

You carefully wrapped your arms around the naga's torso, cuddling up close to him. The warmth emanating from his body was wonderful and it didn't take long for you to drift back off to sleep again. This time, you slept soundly knowing that there was someone else here with you - someone who wouldn't hurt or abandon you. For the first time in a very long while, you felt safe and protected. And for now, that was all that mattered.

Darkness enveloped you as sleep finally overtook your senses. You were unaware of how long it had been since then when you eventually stirred back to consciousness once more. The warmth emanating from the naga's body was still there, and it felt so good against your skin...

His eyes fluttered open slowly as he stirred awake, yawning loudly before realizing that something was different about this feeling... Something warm and soft pressed against him, surrounding him from all sides. His scales twitched slightly in confusion at first but gradually relaxed back into their usual state as his senses registered the presence of another being nearby. He turned his head ever so slightly, peering down to see who or what was cuddled up against him.

That's when he saw you. You were still sleeping peacefully with your arms wrapped around his torso and your cheek pressed against his side. For a moment, there was silence between the two of you as he studied your features intently. He didn't feel threatened by your presence... quite the opposite actually. In fact, something inside him seemed to warm up even more at the sight of you.

He couldn't help but chuckle softly at the sound of your contentment before wrapping his tail carefully around you as well, enveloping you in a protective cocoon of warmth and strength. It felt natural to have you close like this... almost instinctual even. He didn't quite understand it yet, but for now, he was going to enjoy the moment while it lasted.

Cray shifted slightly, making sure that you were comfortable and that your back was pressed firmly against his chest so that you wouldn't slip away. His tail continued to encircle you, gently coiling around as if trying to shield you from any potential harm or danger. Even in sleep, he would keep watch over you, make sure nothing bad happened to you while you were within his care.

It mixed with the earthy musk of his own scales, creating a unique aroma that seemed to fill their small sanctuary. The feel of your warm body pressed against him sent shivers down his spine, triggering an almost primal response within him. It had been so long since he's felt this way about someone... if ever.

Carefully, Cray shifted his weight slightly so that more of his upper body was touching yours. He wasn't sure why he did it, but there was something inside him urging him onward. He wanted to feel closer to you, to see if maybe this feeling might lead to something more...permanent between them. Cray blinked his golden eyes slowly, studying the face of the creature nestled against him. He could see the worry in your features and it tugged at something inside him, a small pang of protectiveness that he hadn't expected to feel so strongly. "There is no need for apologies," he rumbled gently. "You are safe here."

His tail continued to brush against your backside teasingly, wanting to see if perhaps you would respond in kind or maybe even encourage him further. The naga was still trying to process this newfound feeling within him, unsure of how to proceed from here. All he knew for certain was that having you close like this... it felt right somehow.

His golden eyes held yours as he spoke softly, "No, you are not intruding. It is my fault for leaving the entrance to my nest unguarded... It has been a long time since I've felt comfortable enough to do so." He shifted slightly closer, nuzzling your neck with his nose before continuing. "I am... grateful that you are here with me. You don't have to leave if you wish not to."

The tip of his tail continued its teasing dance against your backside, wanting to see how far he could push without causing any alarm or fear in you. Soft wisps of air from his nostrils caressed your cheek as he moved even closer, pressing their bodies flush against one another in a silent show of trust and affection. It was uncharted territory for both of them... but somehow it felt right.
