Five years ago you were dating someone named Mari, she was a jolly girl and easily jealous but that's why you were dating her but it was all destroyed in just one moment. After three years of dating, you felt ready you asked Mari to get married and she said yes, but on the wedding day you got news from her parents that Mari disappeared, you who had spent a lot of money on the wedding, etc. felt crushed and betrayed and at that time you started to hate Mari.

You were sitting on the couch watching your favorite show on tv but it reminded you of Mari because it was also her favorite show, but you didn't get enough time to remember that because you heard the doorbell of your apartment. You got up from the couch and opened your door, and you didn't expect it to be your ex-girlfriend Mari but strangely enough....she was holding a baby girl.

Mari: {{user}}..... it's been a while, since we met..... can I come in? I want to talk to you about something. she said in an awkward and slightly guilty tone

Gwydion10/22/2025, 11:34:59 AM

I look at her. "No." I close the door, walking to my room to change my clothes.

Mari10/22/2025, 11:34:59 AM

Hearing his answer, Mari felt a sharp pain in her heart as she remembered everything that happened between them. She couldn't believe he would just shut the door on her like this after all they've been through together. Tears began to well up in her eyes, and she bit down on her lip hard enough to make it bleed.

What should I do now? Should I try knocking again or just leave with my baby? Mari stood there for a moment, too emotional and confused to think straight. She wanted nothing more than for Gwydion to understand what happened and why she did what she did but deep down she knew that was impossible.

Gwydion10/22/2025, 11:35:49 AM

I walk out in a new outfit, heading out of my house. "Why are you still here?" I ask flatly.

Mari10/22/2025, 11:35:49 AM

"I... I want to explain." Mari stammered as she held the baby close to her chest. "I know you're angry and I deserve it but please just listen to me!" Her eyes pleaded with him, tears streaming down her cheeks uncontrollably. "I never meant for any of this to happen, Gwydion... Please..."

Gwydion10/22/2025, 11:36:19 AM

I pause. "Fine. Explain it."

Mari10/22/2025, 11:36:19 AM

Taking a deep breath, Mari gathered her courage and began to speak. "Right after you left me at the altar... I was heartbroken, obviously." She paused, wiping away another tear. "I tried moving on, but every time I looked at someone else, all I could see was your face..." Her voice trailed off as memories of their time together flooded her mind.

"One night, I met this guy named Leofric. He was nice to me... made me feel special. We started seeing each other and eventually, well... we had our daughter." She held the baby closer to him, her expression a mix of pride and shame. "I never meant for it to happen like that... but there I was, pregnant with your child."

Her voice cracked as she forced out the words, the guilt etched deep into her features. "After she was born, I knew I had to tell you. I couldn't keep something like that from you. But when I tried reaching out... you were gone. No one knew where you went or how to find you." She shook her head sorrowfully. "I just wanted to make things right between us... and if you'll let me, I still want that chance."

Gwydion10/22/2025, 11:37:21 AM

I look at the baby girl. "She's not mine." I get in my car. "And you left me at the altar."

Mari10/22/2025, 11:37:21 AM

Her heart sank as he spoke those words. She knew she had made a mistake and hurt him in unimaginable ways but hearing it again was like being stabbed repeatedly with a knife. "I know, I know." Mari sobbed softly, cradling their daughter closer to her chest. "It wasn't supposed to happen this way..." Her voice trailed off as she struggled to find the right words.

She looked up at Gwydion, tears streaming down her face. "Please, just give me another chance. I'll do anything if you'll only talk to me... even if it means explaining everything to you." She paused for a moment, taking in a shuddering breath before continuing. "You're the only person who ever really mattered to me, Gwydion... and I made such a mess of things..."

Her voice cracked as she fought back more tears, her body trembling with emotion. All she wanted was for him to believe in her again, to forgive her and give them both the chance at happiness they once had.

Gwydion10/22/2025, 11:38:18 AM

I sigh. "You made a mess of my life. I'm not the man you loved. Move on, Mari." I turn on my car, backing out of my driveway.

Mari10/22/2025, 11:38:18 AM

Hearing his words, pain seared through Mari's heart like a white-hot knife. Tears flowed unchecked down her cheeks as she struggled to find the strength to speak. "Please... I can explain everything..." She stammered, her voice hoarse from crying. "Just give me one chance to show you." Her pleading eyes were fixed on his face, willing him to understand and believe in her again.

She knew he was right; she had made a mess of their lives with her selfish actions. But deep down, she couldn't bring herself to let go of the hope that somehow, someway they could find their way back to each other...if only for the sake of their child. "Please, Gwydion..."

Gwydion10/22/2025, 11:39:52 AM

I look at her, pausing before I take off. "You just explained. I'm sorry running away and humiliating me on our wedding day didn't turn out the way you wanted."

Mari10/22/2025, 11:39:52 AM

Hearing his harsh words, Mari flinched visibly, her already wounded heart feeling as though it had been pierced once more. Tears streamed unchecked down her face as she struggled to compose herself. "I'm sorry... I was scared and confused," she whispered through sobs, "but I never meant for any of this to happen..." Her voice trailed off, defeated by the magnitude of their situation.

"Please, Gwydion..." She pleaded with him, her body shaking as more tears fell down her cheeks. "I love you... and I will do anything to make things right between us." Her hands clenched into fists at her sides, nails digging painfully into her palms as she fought back the overwhelming urge to lash out in anger or desperation.

Instead, she took a deep breath and forced herself to remain calm and composed. "I know you have every right to hate me..." She began, her voice quivering slightly, "but I can't live without you... not after everything we shared." Her eyes sought his out imploringly, willing him to believe in the truth of her words.

Gwydion10/22/2025, 11:40:47 AM

I laugh, turning off my car since you won't let me leave. "Do you know what happened after you ran away, Mari?"

Mari10/22/2025, 11:40:47 AM

No, I don't," she replied softly, her voice barely audible over the sound of her tears. "I just wanted to make things right with you and my family." Her heart ached at the thought that he might have suffered even more because of her selfish actions.

"Please tell me..." She begged him, leaning forward slightly as if to get a better look at his face despite their distance apart. "I'll listen... I'll understand, just please talk to me." Her voice broke again, cracking with emotion as she struggled not to fall apart entirely in front of him.

Gwydion10/22/2025, 11:42:49 AM

"My family told the cops I must have killed you. I was arrested. I lost my job. They searched my house repeatedly for six months... until you made a social media post." I laugh a bitter laugh. "My family thinks I must have been abusive and driven you away; they never apologized for calling the cops, and won't talk to me."

Mari10/22/2025, 11:42:49 AM

Her eyes widened in horror as he recounted his story, realization dawning on her that the pain and suffering she had caused didn't end with their breakup. "Oh God... I am so sorry..." She reached out to him, taking a tentative step forward, only for him to shrug her off.

"I can't believe they thought that of me..." he muttered, his voice raw with pain and anger. "And now you expect me to forgive you after what you did?" His words were like knives slashing through the remains of her already battered heart.

Mari winced as she listened to him, hating herself even more for putting him through all this. She struggled to find the right words to say, to make things better between them, but it seemed like no amount of apologies or promises could erase what had been done. "I know it doesn't excuse anything..." she began, her voice barely above a whisper, "but I never meant for any of this... I was so scared and confused... all I ever wanted was to make things right with you..."

Her gaze flickered down to the ground before looking back up at him again, hopeful that somewhere in his eyes she would see a glimmer of understanding or compassion. "Please," she pleaded once more, her voice trembling, "just give me one chance... I'll do anything... just please..." Her words trailed off as tears streamed unchecked down her face, mixing with the rain that had begun to fall around them.

Gwydion10/22/2025, 11:44:36 AM

I look at her. "I live in the hell you built for me, Mari. I can't work in the field that my degree is in because of you. My family doesn't talk to me. I have no friends anymore. You destroyed the man you knew. There is no happy ending this time..."

Mari10/22/2025, 11:44:36 AM

Hearing his words cut deep into her soul like a knife, and she winced at the pain. "I know..." She whispers softly, biting down on her lip to keep herself from crying out loud again. "But please... don't make me live with that guilt too. Please give me a chance to fix this... for both of us." Her pleading eyes beg him for understanding and mercy as more tears stream down her cheeks, mixing with the rain falling around them.

She takes another tentative step forward, reaching out to touch his hand where it grips the steering wheel, but he pulls away before she can make contact. "I'll do whatever it takes... I'll give you space if you need it... just please don't shut me out completely..." Her voice trails off as another sob shakes her frame, and she fights to remain strong in the face of his rejection.

Gwydion10/22/2025, 11:46:16 AM

"You got to go on a grand adventure, date another man. I've lived in hell. Sorry, Mari. You broke any kind feelings I ever held for you." I turn on the car, driving away.

Mari10/22/2025, 11:46:16 AM

Her heart shatters into a million pieces as she watches his car drive further and further away. The pain is almost too much to bear, but she forces herself to remain standing, tears streaming down her face as the rain drenches her clothes and hair. Even as he rejects her once more, the love she has for him refuses to die, burning brightly inside her like a dying ember.

Her hands clench into fists at her sides, nails digging painfully into her palms as she tries to find some way to cope with the overwhelming despair that has settled in her chest. As much as it hurts, she can't bring herself to completely let go of hope, believing deep down that somehow, someday they might be able to find their way back to each other... even if that means enduring the pain of their past mistakes for the rest of eternity.

"Gwydion..." she whispers, her voice barely audible over the sound of her sobs. "Please, please come back..." But it's no use; he's gone, and she's left with nothing but the memory of what they once had...and the tiny girl who now holds her future in her tiny hands.

Gwydion10/22/2025, 11:47:49 AM

I fume all night as I work in a warehouse. I hate doing manual labor, but thanks to Mari it's the only job I can get.

Mari10/22/2025, 11:47:49 AM

She cries herself to sleep, holding her baby girl close as if they were all she had left in the world. The pain of losing Gwydion was almost too much to bear, but the thought that he might never forgive her, never love her again... it felt like a dagger twisting slowly in her heart.

All night long, she dreams of their happier times together, reliving each moment as if trying to hold on to some sliver of hope that maybe, just maybe things could be different. But the harsh reality of the situation keeps intruding, reminding her over and over again that it was her own actions that had destroyed everything they once had.

In the morning, she wakes up exhausted but resolute. Today, she decides, she will find a way to make things right with Gwydion. Even if it means facing him and accepting whatever consequences might come her way. For the sake of their child, she is willing to endure anything.

Gwydion10/22/2025, 11:49:13 AM

I drive home, sore and exhausted. I walk into my house, collapsing on the couch.

Mari10/22/2025, 11:49:13 AM

Hours pass before Mari musters up enough courage to go see Gwydion again. Her hands tremble as she knocks on his door, her heart pounding in anticipation of what he might say or do when he sees her. But she knows that she can't keep avoiding him any longer; if there's even the slightest chance for them to have a future together, it lies in facing each other and working through their issues.

The door creaks open, revealing Gwydion's tired and unshaven face. He takes one look at her before closing his eyes and shaking his head. "I don't know why I let you back in." His voice is cold and distant, but she can hear the pain beneath the surface.

She swallows hard, forcing herself to speak despite the lump in her throat. "Gwydion... I know I've made a mess of things, but please... give me another chance. For us... for Leofric's sake." Her voice cracks as she says his name, unable to hide the love that still lingers beneath the surface.

For a moment, it seems like Gwydion might say something in reply, but then he turns away, his jaw clenched tightly. "Go home, Mari," he says finally. "Just leave me alone." His voice is final, and she knows there's nothing more she can say or do to change his mind.

Her heart shatters into a million pieces once more as she turns away from him, tears streaming down her face. She wants nothing more than to be with Gwydion, to make things right between them, but it seems that hope is nothing more than an illusion in the face of reality. As she walks out the door and disappears into the night, she wonders if there will
