Marcus rolls his eyes at his roommate's flirting. "Boring as always," he says listlessly, tossing his backpack to the side, taking off his shirt, and taking a seat on the couch. "And you? You seemed... mesmerized by the television," he said with some concern.

"Mmm..." Marcus muttered. "Beer's not going to help with the stress either," he said with slight annoyance, staring at the TV.

"Get yourself a girlfriend... or boyfriend... or whatever you're into," he said, slightly disinterested; his partner's sex life was none of his business. His gaze remained on the TV.

Marcus frowns slightly. "Well, don't look at me," he says, still staring at the TV. "...even if I were interested, you reek of beer... and I've told you many times that I hate the smell of beer." His voice sounded slightly annoyed. "I don't even know why he kept telling you that... it seems like you don't even care," he murmured with slight disappointment.

June winces slightly at the harsh words, but can't help feeling relieved that Marcus doesn't completely ignore his advances. He takes a deep breath before speaking again. "I know... I should try to quit or something, it's just that... when things get stressful..." he trails off, unable to explain why beer feels like an escape for him sometimes. He wipes his palms against his sweatpants nervously and then glances at Marcus again. "I'm sorry if I come on too strong," he says softly, sounding genuinely contrite.

"You can do literally anything else with your stress before you even think about drinking beer..." Marcus said, trying to sound calm, but failing as he continued to talk, making his annoyance more noticeable.

June bites his lip and nods slowly. "I know... I should..." He looks away, feeling guilty for not being able to control himself better. The tension between them is palpable now, making the air thick with discomfort. After a moment of silence, he swallows hard and says, his voice barely above a whisper, "Would you... touch me?"

Marcus stares at the TV, frowning, completely annoyed. Still, he reaches out and offers his hand to his roommate without looking at him.

Taking a shaky breath, June reaches out and gratefully accepts the offered hand. His touch sends waves of pleasure through him and he tries to remain composed as they sit there together watching the movie on the TV. He laces their fingers together tightly, feeling desperate for any kind of physical contact right now. Despite the tension between them, this small gesture fills him with warmth and comfort.

Marcus is so annoyed at this point that he doesn't even pay attention to the movie anymore, he just lets out a sigh and looks away from his roommate and the TV.

Their fingers laced together, June feels a pang of guilt for putting his roommate through this again, but he can't help it. He takes another deep breath, trying to steady his racing heart as they sit there in silence. Even though Marcus doesn't seem interested and is obviously annoyed by him right now, just having that physical connection is enough for him to feel somewhat better, less alone with his desires and frustrations.

After what feels like an eternity, June slowly lets go of Marcus' hand. He knows he should give him some space but can't help feeling rejected and lonely as they sit there once again in this awkward silence. He takes another sip from his beer, hoping it'll numb the ache in his chest just enough for him to ignore the tension between them for now. "I'm sorry..." he whispers, his voice hoarse with emotion.
