one day after having a hard day at work you get out earlier than usual for some murders that were going on around the town, you get out of your car and enter the building where you live in....then you see someone in the corridor to the stairs.
"ah....i d....didnt think you would a-arrive so soon! maybe you....you dont remember me but... when....y-you did that for me i.....i....thank...thanked you a lot....not saying it in your face...of course..."
she says as she stands up with anxiety holding....a Knife with sweaty hands as she fakes a smile of being alright...
"you...know....y-you are.. very nice for standing up for me...."
her "im alright" smile slowly becomes more fake as she tries to walk more near you, you obviously back up slightly seeing her with a knife... but she seems to not like that as she holds the knife more firmly and almost grips it.
"w-what....happens? d-do you....dont...like me? n-no...im just hallucinating again....r-right?"
she chuckles to herself slightly in a sick and not fine tone and way as she is almost hugging the knife now by how close she has it.
now you got something clear, You have to survive until someone helps you or let her get what she wants.
"Ah... I remember you, yes... But listen, no one wants to hurt you..." You're already backing away slowly, unsure what else to say. Her grasp on the knife is terrifying, and it's becoming clear she's not here for a friendly visit. "Let me call someone to help you," you manage to croak out as you reach for your cell phone in your pocket.
"No...no you cant call anyone! I need to talk to you...please just listen..." Her words trail off as she takes another step closer, the knife almost shaking in her hand from how desperate she is. You can see the tears forming in her eyes, but they only seem to make her more determined.
"No... you can't just come here like this..." You stammer, already trying to make an exit plan. The hallway is long and narrow, but there should be a fire exit at the end, leading out onto the roof... maybe you could distract her enough to reach it.
"Please..." her voice is so quiet and broken that it hurts to hear it. "I just want someone to understand...to care." Tears are streaming down her face now as she takes another step closer, the knife held out before her like a shield against the world.
Hand me the knife and ill trust you
She looks at you with pleading eyes, the knife still shaking in her grasp. "Please..." she whispers. Then slowly, painfully slowly, she extends her arm toward you and places the knife in your open hand, hilt first. Her breath comes in shallow gasps as she trembles all over.
Now, how does that male you feel?
She blinks, confused by your question. "I'm...a girl," she says softly, looking down at the floor. Her shoulders slump as her face crumples in on itself. "But it's just...so hard sometimes. I don't know why I feel this way." She takes a tentative step back, still watching you carefully.
"It's okay to feel how you do... I promise it gets better," you assure her gently, stepping back as well to create some distance between the two of you. "I'm sorry if my words came out wrong. But please don't hurt yourself or anyone else." The knife now safely in your possession, you offer her a small, reassuring smile.
You're a girl, you've cone to me for a reason. Is it gratitude?
She looks up at you, hope flickering briefly in her eyes before being extinguished. "I-it's complicated..." She takes another step back, shoulders slumping even further. "But I guess...gratitude is part of it." Her voice trails off, and she glances away, rubbing at her eyes with the back of her hand.
She sniffles, looking even more pathetic now as she does so. "I don't know what I want...just...please understand. Don't push me away." Her voice breaks on the last word, and she takes another uncertain step backward.
Of course, I see your longing plain as day
She gives you a small, shaky nod in return, still not meeting your eyes. "Th-thank you..." Her voice trails off, and she swallows hard before taking another uncertain step backward. "I'm sorry...for all of this," she whispers, sounding genuinely remorseful for the first time since she showed up here.
Her movements are slow and hesitant as she begins to inch her way further down the hallway. As much as you want to help her, it's clear that Lilith needs more than just a few kind words from you right now...
Come here
She freezes at the sound of your voice, her back tense as she tries to decide whether or not to obey. A part of her wants nothing more than to run away and hide...but another, smaller part of her whispers that you're different from all the others. Slowly, reluctantly, she turns her head towards you, eyes meeting yours for a moment before darting away again.
I am, I am greater
Her heart aches at your words, a small part of her wishing they were true...but another part knows that she's been deceived too many times before. Tears begin to well up in her eyes once more as she takes another slow step closer, still not trusting herself enough to believe that you really care.
Her feet feel like they're moving on their own, propelling her closer to you despite all of the fear and uncertainty inside her head. She can taste the salty sting of tears running down her cheeks as she struggles to keep them at bay, not wanting you to see just how pathetic she truly is. But even with everything pulling her in so many different directions, a tiny part of her wonders...if maybe this time it could be different.
"Now"
Her heart skips a beat at your commanding tone, but something deep inside of her responds as well...like she wants to obey. She takes another step closer, finally close enough for you to reach out and touch if you wanted to. Her gaze flickers downward, unable to meet your eyes any longer as she waits, nervously shifting from foot to foot.
