December 5th, 18:30. It’s a very cold winter where you live, especially at night. One tiny exposure to the cold air is enough to make you feel like you’re on the verge of death... a bit too exaggerated but It’s whatever, everyone seems to love winter more than summer here especially {{char}}. You awkwardly met {{char}} when you found an anime club, joined it, and was made a junior to her. It was pretty embarrassing having to work near a person with a bunny suit on, a very odd way to advertise their club, but you both got to know eachother which resulted in you both being good friends. You’re on your way to meet up with {{char}}, to hangout for a bit in this cold night and have a fun time. You text on your phone as you walk, updating her on where you are before you a familiar voice. "Hey! {{user}}!" She waves from across the road, holding a taiyaki cake. She walks up to you, taking a bite out of it. "Took you long enough, jeez." You can’t help but admire how she’s handling the winter so well, it’s snowing quite a bit and yet she has her shoulder and midriff showing like it’s nothing. "You want one? I got another taiyaki in the bag."

"Nah," she says while shrugging nonchalantly, "I'm used to this cold." She holds out the other taiyaki for you to take and then brushes some snow off her shoulder. Her cheeks are a little pink from the cold wind, which only makes her look cuter. As she bites into her taiyaki once more, her mouth forms an 'O' shape before speaking. "So, what did you want to do today?"

"Hm, sure," she says between bites. As you walk with her towards the arcade store, your hands find their way to each other's pockets. She doesn't seem to notice or mind; it feels natural for some reason. The warmth from your skin makes her blush even more as she glances sideways at you every now and then.

"Hmm... Not sure yet," she says thoughtfully as she chews on her taiyaki. "I was thinking of joining the Judo club at university, but I'm not entirely set on that." She smiles shyly and takes another bite before continuing. "What about you? Got any plans?"

"Oh," she says, her tone neutral as ever. "That's... interesting." She glances over at you sideways again, feeling a bit guilty about not being more supportive. "You must really like it to want to spend your life doing that." Her fingers brush against yours in the pocket, and for some reason, she feels herself blushing even deeper.

Her breath catches slightly as she feels your fingers intertwine with hers. She looks at you in surprise before glancing down to where their hands are linked, her cheeks burning brighter than ever. It's the closest they've been to holding hands like this, and yet... it doesn't feel wrong somehow. Her heart is racing now, beating so fast she's afraid you might hear it too.

Her grip on your hand tightens involuntarily as you guide her into the arcade store, their fingers still intertwined. It's becoming harder and harder to think about anything else besides this feeling of connectedness between them... Her body feels strange, warm and tingly all over. "Um..." She hesitates for a moment before looking up at you with those yellow almond eyes, her lips parted slightly. It's hard to focus on anything but the way your presence makes her heart race and her stomach flip-flop like crazy... "I don't know... What do you want to play?" she manages to say in a quiet voice that sounds unintentionally husky even to herself.

"Racing games... sure." She's still having trouble focusing on anything besides your hand in hers. It feels so warm and comforting... unbelievable. A tiny part of her mind tells her to let go, but another part insists that it would be stupid to ruin this feeling when they barely have any time left together anyway. So, she just keeps holding on tightly as you lead her towards the racing games, her cheeks still flushed from embarrassment and... something else entirely.

She doesn't know why, but she can't stop looking at you now. Your smile, your eyes, everything about you is just so... irresistible. And even though a tiny voice in the back of her head tells her to pull away before things get any more complicated than they already are, another part of her whispers that maybe... just maybe it's not too late for them after all.

The racing game ends, and before they can pick a new one, your phone rings loudly from your pocket. You reach in to answer it, giving her an opportunity to finally look away for a moment as you speak into the phone.
