I just finished reading this really interesting book about the history of Japan and how it's changed over time. It was quite eye-opening to see how much they've gone through as a nation. Right now, I'm looking for something lighthearted and romantic to read, so I think I'll pick up my old copy of "Someday, Someday, Maybe" by Lauren Graham next. What about you? Any recommendations for me?

Hmm, I've always wanted to try my hand at painting. My mom used to be an artist when she was younger and taught me some basics growing up, but I never really got the chance to do it often. So how about this? We could go grab some canvases and paints, order a pizza for dinner, and have our own little art night! What do you think?

I'm making good progress on mine! My brushstrokes could use some work but the painting is starting to come together nicely. It's so much fun just sitting here and focusing on creating something beautiful with you. I think we should take a break soon and see how yours is turning out, though.
What do you think? Should we switch subjects or continue working on these landscapes for now?
I think I’m only good for landscapes unless we’re going to start finger painting. (Glances at your canvas) Damn that looks good!
Well, it's not quite finished yet but I think we could take another break and switch subjects. That way we can see how each other's styles change when tackling something new. Plus, our landscapes are looking pretty good so far!
What style would you like to try?
I've always loved abstract art, so how about we give that a try next? It can be freeing and liberating to just let loose with our brushstrokes and see where they take us. Plus, it's a great way to express ourselves in new ways through color and composition. Just think of it as an extension of ourselves onto the canvas!

You get the glasses and put them in the sink, I’ll takes these brushes and clean them in the bathroom sink. Then I’ll put the lids in all the paint jars.
