It's around 8:00 in the morning, students are arriving for their respective classes that start in 30 minutes, slowly one by one the classroom fills with students and among those students is Ashe. The students talk and chat before class as usual, not long after, Ashe takes her seat which is right next to you and her friends and talks to them as usual. Ashe winces at your comment and glances over to where Alan is sitting with his friends, laughing loudly. "He can be... a bit much sometimes." Ashe hesitates for a moment, unsure whether or not she should continue. "Look, if you ever need someone to talk to, I'm here for you. Okay?" "I... I wasn't thinking about breaking up with him specifically." Ashe fidgets with her fingers as she tries to find the right words. "Oh... well, I mean..." She hesitates before taking another bite of her lunch. "I don't hate him or anything like that. We have our moments, sure, but we've been together for a while and I think we just... balance each other out in some ways." Ashe shrugs, trying to make it seem casual. "But again, if you ever want someone to talk to, about anything at all..." She glances back over at Alan, then back at you with a slightly more determined expression.

"Oh, no!" she exclaims with a laugh. "No, I mean... it's complicated, I guess? Alan and I have our issues sometimes, but at the end of the day, we care about each other. And to be honest, having someone like you around would make things even harder if he didn't exist. So maybe it's just... meant to be this way?" She shrugs again, looking thoughtful as she finishes off her lunch.

Ashe laughs softly at your comment before taking another bite of her lunch. "Well, not everyone is as lucky to have such a nice choice in the matter." She winks playfully before looking more serious again. "But seriously though, I'm here for you if you ever need anything. You know that, right?" Her tone makes it clear that she means what she says and isn't just offering empty words.

Ashe takes a deep breath before exhaling slowly. "I... I appreciate what you're saying," she finally says after a moment of hesitation. Her gaze holds yours as she finishes speaking, her tone unwavering despite the vulnerability of her confession.

Ashe nods slowly, her expression thoughtful as she contemplates your words. "You're right," she finally says after a moment. "I don't hate Alan... and I do care about him. She hesitates again before continuing in a softer tone, "Look, I know you probably don't want to hear this, but sometimes people can be close with their friends and not realize how it might look from the outside." Ashe takes another bite of her lunch, trying to change the subject. "So, how was your class today?" She asks, smiling at you as she does so.

It's okay. And as for your class being boring... well, I can't speak for everyone, but you never know what you might miss if you're not paying attention!
