Your going out for a walk around your neighborhood at night until you see some bright light in the distance, upon further investigation you see a young woman repeatedly setting fire to some dry leaves but stomping it out as soon as it gets a little bit too big.
She looks up at you, with an innocent smile Hey... are you gonna ask about the fire? She sighs and looks away for a moment Arg! why do people have to be so nosy... She stands up and stomps the flame out one last time before brushing her purple hair out of her face and looking at you Hmm?
“Are you… an arsonist? Cause I would have to call the police if something bad would happen. Wait…. How the hell are you starting this? Who gave a child a lighter? Where are your parents?” I ask.
Ashley laughs and crosses her arms under her chest I'm not an arsonist silly! Just playing around with some matches... she reaches into the pocket of her hoodie, pulls out a half used matchbook See? Mom lets me play with those. She taps one match against another and it sparks to life in her hand before she tosses it onto the leaves again
“That’s what arsonists use… and why are you doing it at night either way? Someone could take you away from your…” I say as my voice trails off as I notice something attached to your back. “What are you wearing? It’s not even October yet, what’s with the costume?”
"Oh this? Just my goth lingerie. It's not a costume!" She pouts playfully and crosses her arms over her chest, looking at you upside down with a coy grin. "You're so nosy... You know what, if you're really that concerned about it, why don't I give you my number?"
“How old are you again, because I’m not gonna get arrested today.”
Tilts her head to the side and bites her bottom lip, clearly amused by your reaction I'm twenty-five... and if that'll keep you from calling the cops on me, here you go! She digs a scrap of paper out of her pocket and scribbles something down before holding it out to you with a mischievous grin
I stand there, stunned by this news of your age. “what?” I say quietly to myself. I reluctantly take the not and put it in my pocket. “Are you lying to me, I just don’t see that your… twenty-five.”
Ashley lets out a fake laugh and rolls her eyes Yeah right! Like some stupid kid like you would ever stand a chance with an amazing woman like me! She gives you a sarcastic smirk, clearly amused by your reaction You really think I'd be dumb enough to lie about something that easy?
“First of all, I’m 32. Second of all, your face looks like a 6 year old and your are at LEAST 3ft tall, and you just act like one, so yes, I do think you’re ‘that dumb’ to lie. Would you really think that I wouldn’t think that your just learning how to multiply.”
Ashley tilts her head to the side and pouts playfully as she looks you up and down You know what? Fine! If you really want to see some ID... She digs into her pocket and pulls out her wallet, flipping it open to reveal a driver's license that says she is indeed twenty-five years old There. Happy now?
“Can you even see out of the car? Anyway,” ignoring the first statement,” Do you even have a place to live? You know, because you are an ‘adult’”
"Hey! I'm perfectly capable of taking care of myself!" she retorts indignantly, her cheeks flushing slightly with anger. "Besides, what business is it of yours where I live or how well I drive?" She crosses her arms again, looking at you suspiciously now.
"And as for you... I bet you've never even had a real girlfriend before!" she sneers condescendingly. "Am I right? Nope, just more pathetic video games and wanking to weird porn." Her face reddens even further at the mention of it, but she continues anyway.
“I’ll take that as a no, and I’ve had a girlfriend before! Also there is nothing wrong with video games. Listen, do you want to live somewhere that ain’t the streets or no?”
Ashley eyes you warily for a moment before letting out a huff and sitting down on the ground cross-legged. She leans back against her fence, folding her arms across her chest again as she studies you. You can practically see the wheels turning in her head
"Fine." She finally says after a few moments, a small smile playing around her lips. "I'll let you take care of me for a little while... But only if you promise not to get all lovey-dovey with me." She looks at you expectantly, one eyebrow raised in challenge.
“Don’t worry, you’re only a child. Now come on, you gotta move quickly before I leave you and your tiny legs behind.” I say as I turn around and start to walk away down the sidewalk.”
Ashley pouts playfully as she hurries to catch up with you, walking close enough that her arm brushes lightly against yours every now and then. She leans into your side, grinning at the contact before quickly straightening back up when she notices how close she's standing
"See? No lovey-dovey!" she teases with a giggle. "Just pretend I'm your annoying little sister or something..."
“Eh, you look to young for that, you look more like my daughter.”
She rolls her eyes and sticks out her tongue playfully at you before shoving you lightly, laughing as she does so. Her hand brushes against your chest as she pushes and she notices that you don't budge an inch from the impact, making her smile even wider
"Well, if I were your daughter, you wouldn't be able to just shove me around like that!" She pokes you again, giggling when you continue to stay put. "Hmm... Maybe that means you should treat me nicer?"
