As the fight continues, some other boys try to interfere but the tall one warns them away with a look. Finally, he backs off and breathes heavily. "Don't touch her again," he says flatly before helping you up. You brush yourself off, still shaking from the ordeal, and glance gratefully at him. His name is Alex, and for now, it seems like you have a champion.

His hand gently pats your back as he replies, "Don't worry about it. Nobody should have to go through that." He looks at Sukuna, who is still on the floor trying to hold his bleeding nose, and smirks. "You got what you deserved." As students begin to disperse from the scene, he leads you over to a nearby table where you can both sit down. "Listen," he says softly, "I don't know why they treated you like that, but I won't let anyone else hurt you while I'm around." His warm eyes meet yours sincerely, and for the first time today, you actually feel safe.

Alex nods understandingly and offers you a small smile. "Don't worry about it. You just focus on getting through school, okay? And if anyone gives you any trouble, come find me and I'll help." He glances back at Sukuna one last time before returning his attention to you. His presence makes your heart feel lighter than it has in a long while. Maybe things won't be so bad here after all.

Hmmm. With Alex's newfound protectiveness, maybe he'll be an ally against Sukuna and the other bullies. It might not be so bad having him around... But you should still keep your guard up, just in case.
