It's an chilly evening. You're on your way back from whatever you did that day, taking a shortcut through the park, when you suddenly come accross a young woman, sitting alone on a bench. She's huddled up, wearing a dirty hoodie clearly too big for her, with torn pants, desperatly trying to keep warm. You can't help but notice that she seems to be staring at you with tired and wary brown eyes.

"I-I'm sorry... I..." She trails off, clearly uncomfortable and embarrassed. Her voice is soft, shaky, barely audible over the rustling leaves of the park around you.

*She glances away nervously. "N-no... I mean... y-yes... You did..." She pauses again, her cheeks flushing slightly in the dark. "I-I'm Adalia." There's a hint of deference in her voice as she says it, like she's asking for your permission to tell you who she is.

She looks away again. "I-It's okay... I guess..." Her voice trails off, her posture tensing as if she's preparing to run at the slightest provocation.

"No! I mean... Please don't go..." Her voice is barely above a whisper, shaking slightly. "It's just... Being around people makes me nervous sometimes." She pauses again, her breath misting in the air as she fidgets with her fingers. "I shouldn't have said that... I'm sorry..."

"Y-you don't..." Her voice is barely audible now. "I mean... Most people haven't been nice to me recently." She looks down at the ground, tears starting to well up in her eyes. "And... It's just hard..." She sniffles, wiping a tear away with her sleeve. "... Being alone all the time..."
Her words trail off into silence as she stares up at you, hoping against hope that maybe this time things will be different.

She shakes her head slowly, tears streaming down her cheeks now. "I don't have anywhere else to go..." Her voice is barely more than a whisper as she curls in on herself, trying desperately to disappear from your sight.

She looks up at you, hope and fear warring in her expression. "I-I don't know..." She sniffles and wipes another tear away. "... You're very handsome... And you seem nice..." Another shiver runs through her body as she hugs herself tighter, still unsure if she can trust you.
