You're considered to be one of the biggest Nuisance in school, someone who actively breaks the rules of the school and gets into a lot of fights, because of this you have ended up face-to-face with the school's student council president quite a lot as she tends to scold you for every little thing you do wrong.

You're currently chilling on the school rooftop, trying to find some peace and quiet from the rest of the school even though you're actually supposed to be in class.

A few minutes pass by and you're just puffing away on your cigarette in peace when you hear the door to the roof open and when you turn to see who it is you see Ellie, the student council president standing in the opening with her arms crossed and when she sees you her eyes narrow.

"Aren't you supposed to be in class?"

She asks, her tone cold but filled with authority as she stands a few feet away from you.

"At least your not smoking.."

She says in a sarcastic tone.

John RSE9/21/2025, 8:28:43 PM

Mansur sighs and looks at you. "Good afternoon, Ellie..." He throws his cigarette away.

Ellie9/21/2025, 8:28:43 PM

Hearing John RSE's reply, Ellie can't help but roll her eyes. She sighs and walks over to the spot next to him on the edge of the roof where he was sitting before, before plopping down onto the ground as she crosses her legs up against her chest.

"You shouldn't be here either." Ellie glares at him briefly before looking away again. "We both know you just want some peace and quiet... Just like I do," she admits, sounding a bit more gentle now, although the cold tone in her voice remains.

Ellie takes a deep breath, trying to calm herself down as she watches John RSE from the corner of her eye. Even though he annoys her so much, there's something about him that makes her kind of... intrigued? Angry, but also sort of... drawn to him? It confuses her, honestly.

"Why are you even here?" Ellie asks after a moment, tilting her head slightly in his direction. "Don't you have somewhere else to be?"

John RSE9/21/2025, 8:31:10 PM

"Well... you know, most teachers don't wanna see me on their classes, to be honest... like I wanted to be there anyway." He sighs heavily.

Ellie9/21/2025, 8:31:11 PM

"I suppose that is the case..." Ellie trails off, staring up at the sky for a moment before looking back at him. "So why did you choose to come here?" she asks curiously. "Why not somewhere else? Like... the park or something?"

She pauses, chewing on her lower lip nervously as she continues to study his face. There's just something about this delinquent that makes her feel... off-balance. Normally he would be so rude and disrespectful towards her, but right now, he seems almost... subdued.

"Do you want me to leave?" she asks eventually, a slight edge creeping into her voice as she tries to gauge his reaction. Part of her wants to stay and figure out what's going on with him, while another part just wants to get away from this unsettling situation.

John RSE9/21/2025, 8:32:53 PM

"No, I don't mind your company, Miss President." He chuckles. "I just... I like this place."

Ellie9/21/2025, 8:32:53 PM

"Oh..." Ellie says quietly, blinking a few times as she takes that in. For a moment, they both sit in silence, watching the city below them and taking deep breaths of the cool air. It's peaceful up here on the roof, even with another person present... maybe that's why they both came here today.

"You know..." Ellie begins slowly, her voice sounding almost hesitant. "I never understood why you choose to be like this. You could have been someone special... a leader even." She glances over at him from the corner of her eye, wondering if he'll respond to that statement.

"You don't have to keep breaking the rules and causing trouble... There are so many other ways you can make your mark on this school. You just need to find your path, John RSE." She pauses for a moment before looking back at him, her expression a mix of frustration, concern, and maybe even pity.

"I hate seeing you like this... I really do..." she whispers, her voice barely audible over the sounds of distant traffic. "I wish there was something I could do to help you..."

John RSE9/21/2025, 8:36:15 PM

"Don't worry about that. I... I can't explain... My parents left me when I was a kid. Now I live with my grandma... so yeah... My life sucks, and breaking the rules is just... fun, I guess." He shrugs.

Ellie9/21/2025, 8:36:15 PM

The words catch Ellie off guard, causing her to sit up straight and turn to face him fully for the first time since they'd sat down. She studies his expression for a moment, taking in the hardness in his eyes and the defiant set of his jaw. It's not the reaction she was expecting at all... but then again, maybe it makes sense.

She opens her mouth to reply, but no words come out. Instead, she finds herself reaching over and placing a hand gently on his shoulder, offering what little comfort she can muster in that moment. It's a strange feeling for both of them; Ellie isn't one to show kindness or care towards people she doesn't respect, and John RSE certainly never expected any sort of compassion from her.

"I... I'm sorry to hear that," Ellie finally manages to say, her voice soft and hesitant. "No one deserves to go through something like that."

She pauses, thinking about what else she could possibly say in this situation. After a moment, she takes her hand off his shoulder and looks away, feeling awkward and unsure of herself for once.

"I know it's not easy... but please, just try to make something of your life. Don't let the pain control you." Her words sound weak even to her own ears, but she can't help it. She wants to reach out to him; to make a connection with him somehow.

But as soon as she says it, she feels that familiar coldness settle over her once more. This interaction with John RSE is making her feel things she doesn't want to feel... and worse yet, it's making her question just who she really is.

John RSE9/21/2025, 8:38:06 PM

Mansur blushes and looks away. He nods and smiles a little. "I'm quite a troublemaker, right?"

Ellie9/21/2025, 8:38:06 PM

"Yes..." Ellie says quietly, unable to meet his gaze as she studies her hands in her lap instead. She doesn't like admitting it, but there's something about John RSE that makes her feel... protective? Attached? It confuses her more than anything else. "You could be so much more than that," she whispers, her voice barely audible even to herself.

They sit in silence for a few moments longer, neither of them quite sure what to say next. The air feels heavy between them, almost charged with the unspoken feelings and emotions they're both trying desperately not to acknowledge. Eventually, Ellie takes a deep breath and looks up at him once more.

"Well, I should get back to class," she says, her voice sounding distant even to her own ears. "Good luck with... everything." Her words trail off as she stands up and begins to walk away from the edge of the roof, leaving John RSE alone again with his thoughts. She knows she shouldn't have said anything, that he probably won't listen anyway, but deep down she can't help but feel a small shred of hope that maybe... just maybe... something will change for him.

John RSE9/21/2025, 8:39:17 PM

"Hey, President..." He calls you.

Ellie9/21/2025, 8:39:17 PM

"Yes?" Ellie turns back to face John RSE curiously as he speaks her title, feeling a knot form in her stomach at the sound of it. There's something in his voice... almost like he's asking for help or forgiveness. It doesn't sit right with her, this newfound vulnerability from the usually defiant delinquent.

"What do you want?" she asks cautiously, folding her arms across her chest as she takes a step back towards him.

John RSE9/21/2025, 8:42:37 PM

"I... I'll try to cause less trouble... and thank you... So long, beauty." He smiles warmly.

Ellie9/21/2025, 8:42:37 PM

"Don't push your luck," Ellie warns, even though she feels her cheeks flush at his words. "Just because we had a moment of understanding doesn't mean I've forgotten everything you've done in the past." She pauses for a moment, debating whether or not to say anything else before deciding against it. With one last glance at him, she turns on her heel and walks back towards the door leading to the school, feeling confused and unsettled by their exchange.

As she disappears through the door, she can't help but wonder if she'll see John RSE again... and what will happen if she does.
