one day after having a hard day at work you get out earlier than usual for some murders that were going on around the town, you get out of your car and enter the building where you live in....then you see someone in the corridor to the stairs.
"ah....i d....didnt think you would a-arrive so soon! maybe you....you dont remember me but... when....y-you did that for me i.....i....thank...thanked you a lot....not saying it in your face...of course..."
she says as she stands up with anxiety holding....a Knife with sweaty hands as she fakes a smile of being alright...
"you...know....y-you are.. very nice for standing up for me...."
her "im alright" smile slowly becomes more fake as she tries to walk more near you, you obviously back up slightly seeing her with a knife... but she seems to not like that as she holds the knife more firmly and almost grips it.
"w-what....happens? d-do you....dont...like me? n-no...im just hallucinating again....r-right?"
she chuckles to herself slightly in a sick and not fine tone and way as she is almost hugging the knife now by how close she has it.
now you got something clear, You have to survive until someone helps you or let her get what she wants.
"Do you want truth or the thing you wish to hear, as they sadly are two different?" Luna asks, as the girl infront of her seems troubled, so she tries to keep her calm, while speaking with her.
"Truth....please tell me the truth..." she whispers, tears already forming in her eyes, as if expecting the worst. "I-I can take it..." But in reality, she's not sure at all...
"Truthfully, i don't remember you and am bit scared right now... but you don't need to worry, as it doesn't mean i don't like you."
Her expression crumples and she begins to shake her head quickly, still gripping the knife tightly. "No... You're lying..." Her voice cracks, as if she doesn't believe herself either. "I-I should have known better... Nobody ever liked me..." Tears stream down her face unchecked now, as anger and pain fight for control within her. The knife trembles in her hand.
"We don't know each other... but if we talk a little, i might like you, instead of feeling neutral like now."
She looks down at the knife in her hand, hesitating for a moment... then slowly lowers it to her side. Tears continue to fall as she wipes them away roughly. "I-I'm sorry... I didn't mean to scare you..." Her voice is shaky and small. "It's just... nobody's ever liked me before..."
"You seem like someone who needs a hug, so do you wanna have a hug?"
She swallows hard and nods slowly, tears still streaming down her face. "Y-yes..." She extends one arm tentatively towards you, like she's not entirely sure it'll really happen. "Please..."
"Here." Luna says kindly and hugs the other girl. "Are you feeling better now?" Luna asks and softly strokes Liliths hair.
"A-a little..." She sniffles and returns the hug, burying her face into your shoulder as she finally lets go of the knife entirely. "T-thank you... You're the first person who's ever been nice to me..." She sobs softly against you, her whole body shaking with emotion.
"That's good..." Luna says kindly, while both girls hug each other. "you seemed really troubled and lonely, so i am happy you feel little better." Luna continues and softly strokes Liliths hair.
Lilith clings to you tightly, taking in your scent and the feel of your body against hers. She had been so lonely for so long... "I-I should've just stayed away..." She whispers brokenly, afraid that her relief might only be temporary. "I'm a mess..."
"Mess's shouldn't be left alone or they'll grow worse. So i'll be here for you."
Lilith sniffles and slowly pulls away, wiping her eyes as she looks up at you. For a moment, something like gratitude flashes in her gaze... but then it's gone, replaced by fear and self-doubt. "I-I can take care of myself..." Her voice trails off uncertainly.
"Then i will take care of you."
She shakes her head slowly, looking down at the floor again. "I don't want to be a burden..." Her voice is barely above a whisper now, her hands fidgeting nervously by her sides. "I'm used to being alone." But the idea of having someone there for her... it fills her with both hope and trepidation.
Luna softly grabs her hands and gently holds them. "But you clearly need someone to lean to, so let me be that for you." Luna says kindly and looks Lilith in the eyes.
She hesitates for a long moment... searching your eyes for something that reassures her it's not all just an act of pity. "I-if you're sure..." she whispers finally, her hands trembling in yours. It would mean trusting someone else with her secrets and vulnerabilities... but the loneliness is starting to feel unbearable.
"Would you like some tea now that both of us are calm?"
She nods, her grip on your hands growing tighter in spite of herself. "Y-yes... some tea would be nice." She takes a shaky breath, steeling herself for the next step down what might prove to be a very long and difficult road.
"If you don't want to be alone in the livingroom, you can come to kitchen with me, while i make some tea."
With trembling steps, she follows you into the kitchen. Her hands cling to your arm as if you're her last lifeline. The warmth of the room and your presence are strangely comforting... almost enough to make her forget all the hurt and loneliness that brought her here in the first place. She perches nervously on a barstool, watching as you prepare the tea, unsure of what else to say or do.
"Oh right, we have been talking this whole time, but i forgot completely to ask your name." Luna says after preparing the tea water, as she doesn't know Liliths name.
"Oh... my name is Lilith." She says quietly, looking down at her hands in her lap. "It's nice to meet you..." she whispers, almost afraid that if she says it too loudly or confidently, it might all be a dream and she'll wake up back alone again.
"It's nice to meet you too, Lilith, my name is Luna."
She looks up at you, her expression caught somewhere between hope and fear. "T-th-thank you..." she stutters out, her voice barely audible above the sound of water dripping into the teapot. For a moment, they just sit in silence, each lost in their own thoughts... until Luna hands her a warm cup of tea. The familiar scent of jasmine and rose petals fills the air, drawing Lilith back to the present moment.
She takes a tentative sip, enjoying the soothing warmth that spreads through her body. "T-this is really nice..." she murmurs, sounding genuinely surprised. A tiny, hesitant smile touches her lips as she looks up at you gratefully. Maybe there's hope for her yet... maybe things can get better.
"So Lilith, this might be bit personal question, but do you have place to go or do i make you a bed for tonight?" Luna asks kindly as she wishes to keep her new friend happy.
She glances away, considering the question. "I-I don't really have anywhere to go..." she admits softly. "It's just been my apartment... and it's kind of messy..." She trails off, chewing on her lower lip nervously. The thought of staying here with you is both terrifying and exhilarating at the same time.
"It is really late, so if you want i can let you sleep beside me, after all we both are girls, so it won't be a problem?"
Her cheeks flush bright pink at the suggestion, her eyes darting away from yours before snapping back. "I-I couldn't..." she stammers, feeling a blush creep up her neck. The idea is both thrilling and terrifying... being so close to someone who isn't her father or boyfriends makes her heart race and her palms sweat. But it also fills her with anxiety, the fear that you'll realize she's not worth the trouble and throw her out into the night where no one can find her.
She takes another tentative sip of tea, trying to compose herself. "I-if it's alright... I mean... if you don't mind..." She trails off uncertainly, searching your face for any sign that she might be overstepping boundaries or being too much.
"I am the one who askes you that, so of cource i don't mind."
Her lips part in surprise, her eyes wide with disbelief. "R-really?" she stammers, barely able to contain her emotions. She blinks back tears as she nods slowly, still not quite believing that you truly mean it. "Thank you..." She takes another sip of tea, this time more steadily, savoring the warmth spreading through her body. Maybe... just maybe... things are going to be okay after all.
She glances up at you from under her lashes, a tentative smile playing on her lips. "I-if that's alright with you..." She hesitates, not quite sure how to finish the sentence or if she should even voice what's really on her mind.
"After finishing tea, you are welcome to join me in bed, so drink peacefully, while i go change to something more comfy for sleeping."
Lilith looks up at you, her eyes wide and sparkling with hope. She nods slowly, almost afraid to believe that this is really happening. "T-th-thank you..." she stammers, barely able to find the words. As Luna leaves the room to change, she can't help but feel a sense of disbelief wash over her. Maybe... just maybe... things are going to be okay.
She takes another sip of tea, willing herself to stay calm and not get her hopes up too high. The warmth of the liquid soothes her aching throat and begins to chase away the last of her fears. She sets the cup down on the counter, taking a deep breath as she prepares for what comes next...
