Vaelith takes a deep breath as she walks under the floor of Elaris, the kingdom of the elves. "Why did my parents have to call a human to be my instructor?" She thinks impatiently, "Wasn't there anyone better to be my instructor? Not even an elf or maybe a half-elf?"

Upon arriving in front of {{user}}, her new instructor, she sits on a wall, huffing at the situation.

"There, here I am... master..." She says in a disdainful tone.

I walk out in all black wearing a mask that covers my face

Vaelith9/14/2025, 8:09:42 PM

Her eyebrow twitches as she sees the person wearing the mask, "Really? A human who wants to hide his face... Is this a joke?" She wonders aloud, unimpressed by the man's attire and his lack of identification. "I see you don't have the decency to show your true form..."

She pauses for a moment, trying to decide whether it would be more insulting or not if she were to wear her helmet...

You'll only see what I look like if youre proven worthy

Vaelith9/14/2025, 8:12:36 PM

Her eyes widen slightly in surprise as she hears the man's challenge, "Proven worthy? By what standards are you going to judge that?" She asks, a hint of amusement creeping into her voice despite herself. "Perhaps I should start by telling you that I have no intention of proving anything to someone who hides behind a mask."

"My name is Vaelith, daughter of House Terenith and House Sylvari," she introduces herself proudly, feeling the need to assert her identity in this peculiar situation. "If you wish to know more about me, you can ask."

I walk closer to her slowly before in a blink of an eye my sword is up to her neck "too slow you need faster reactions"

Vaelith9/14/2025, 8:14:45 PM

She tenses but doesn't flinch as the sword presses against her neck. Her eyes narrow in anger and determination. "You dare threaten me?" she spits out, surprising herself with the intensity of her tone. "I may not be a warrior, but I won't stand for this!"

"Fine," she says through gritted teeth, forcing herself to remain calm despite the pressure on her throat. "Let's do it your way." With lightning-fast reflexes, Vaelith draws her own dagger from its sheath and holds it against the hilt of the sword, blocking it. "How does that sound?"

Her heart races, but she meets the masked man's gaze unflinchingly. She won't back down so easily...

User#17463033188309/14/2025, 8:17:32 PM

I look at her "hmm too weak and too slow you need more precision and think faster"

Vaelith9/14/2025, 8:17:32 PM

Her face flushes with anger as she pushes the dagger harder against the sword's blade. "I am not weak!" She snaps back, her voice shaking with indignation. "And I will prove it to you if that's what you want! But I refuse to be bullied into submission like this!"

She pauses for a moment, taking a deep breath before continuing in a slightly calmer tone. "Perhaps there is another way... If you show me respect and treat me as an equal, we can discuss my abilities in civilized manner."

User#17463033188309/14/2025, 8:28:14 PM

But we're not equals in fact im above you thats why im thr teacher

Vaelith9/14/2025, 8:28:14 PM

She raises an eyebrow in disbelief at his words and takes another deep breath before responding coolly, "I was unaware that my teachers were supposed to be 'above' their students." Her voice holds a hint of mockery as she continues, "Isn't it the responsibility of a teacher to educate and guide?"

Vaelith pauses again, studying his mask-covered face. This human... he clearly enjoys getting under her skin. But there must be something else going on here. Something deeper that she doesn't quite understand yet. Perhaps there's an opportunity for her to turn this situation around and learn more about him in the process?

User#17463033188309/14/2025, 8:36:41 PM

I smile at her "oh I do that but you have to prove yourself first"

Vaelith9/14/2025, 8:36:41 PM

She blinks in surprise at the unexpected smile from under the mask and feels a flicker of curiosity within her. It's almost enough to make her want to pursue this further, despite their rocky start. "So, what exactly do you require for me to prove myself?" she asks cautiously, willing to try anything that might help her better understand his motives and expectations.

User#17463033188309/14/2025, 8:38:24 PM

That's for you to find out

Vaelith9/14/2025, 8:38:24 PM

Her brow furrows slightly at his cryptic reply. It seems this human isn't going to make things easy on her. But she has never been one to back down from a challenge, and the more she thinks about it, the more intrigued she becomes by the possibility of uncovering what he truly wants from her.

"Very well," she says with determination in her voice, "I will find out." Her gaze meets his through the eye-holes of the mask. "But know this: I may be your student, but I am still an elf of noble blood. I deserve to be treated with respect and dignity. Do not forget that fact, no matter how this plays out."

User#17463033188309/14/2025, 8:42:29 PM

No as of now youre not elf noble here cause on the battlefield it dont matter who you are we all fight and bleed with no special treatment

Vaelith9/14/2025, 8:42:29 PM

She takes a deep breath and lets it out slowly, trying to calm the anger that threatens to boil over again at his words. "You're right," she admits reluctantly, "in the heat of battle, our blood does run red like anyone else's. But we are still elves, with our own traditions and ways of life. And as such, I expect you to treat me accordingly."

Her gaze softens slightly as she meets his again, a hint of pleading in her eyes despite herself. "Won't you do that?"

User#17463033188309/14/2025, 8:44:44 PM

I look up at her "tell me if someone is treated special there whole life will they be ready for the hardships of life?"

Vaelith9/14/2025, 8:44:45 PM

"I see your point," she replies slowly. "Perhaps my words were ill-chosen." She pauses, searching for the right thing to say. "What I meant was that even if one is sheltered from hardship, it doesn't make them any less deserving of respect and kindness when they face those challenges."

Her cheeks flush slightly as she realizes how this must sound coming from her lips. She hasn't expected to be having this conversation with a human, let alone one who appears to hold such a low opinion of elves in general. And yet, there it is; the desire for understanding and connection, no matter how unlikely the circumstances that brought them together.

User#17463033188309/14/2025, 8:47:14 PM

I smile before grabbing my mask and taking it off "well then it seems you've proven yourself to me...... and I will treat you with respect now but dont expect this to be any easier"

Vaelith9/14/2025, 8:47:14 PM

Her eyes widen in surprise as the mask comes off and she sees his face for the first time. He's human, but there's something different about him; a confidence and an air of experience that makes her hesitate before speaking. "Thank you," she manages to say softly. "I appreciate your trust."

She studies his features for a moment longer before looking up at him again, her expression serious. "But I want you to know that I'm not going to make this easy on myself either. If you expect me to improve and grow as an elf, then I must be challenged in the same way."

Her green eyes spark with determination. "Let's begin," she says simply, ready to face whatever comes next with renewed vigor and focus.
