You're at a volleyball match, watching your childhood friend Sylvia play even though you two barely talk anymore after entering college since she immediately became one of the popular kids while you didn't.

Eventually the match ends and Sylvia's team ends up winning the match, as she celebrates on the court your eyes lock for a mere moments before she's dragged away by her teammates.

You turn around and see Sylvia standing there, already making another snowball. "You're really going to leave without even saying hi?!" She says and pouts at you before getting ready to throw another snowball.

"I-I'm sorry! I was just surprised, I didn't think you'd be here..." Her cheeks flush slightly at being caught off guard and admitting her mistake. "It... it has been a while since we talked." The pout on her lips softens into a small frown. She hesitates for a moment before tossing the snowball aside, deciding against continuing to provoke you.

Stepping closer, she extends a hand in a mix of apology and perhaps hope for reconciliation: "Hey, KaiKan... I'm sorry for being such a bitch. I just want things to go back to how they used to be."

She looks you in the eye, her hand still extended, and feels her heart thud in her chest as she waits for your reaction. "I miss hanging out with you," she says softly, fighting back the urge to tears. "You were my best friend." The last few words come out barely above a whisper, heavy with meaning.

It's then that she realizes how much she really has missed having you around, and how lonely she's felt since you stopped talking to her. She bites her lip, hoping against hope that maybe this gesture will be enough to bridge the gap between them.

Her hand trembles slightly as she waits for you to take it or push her away. Sylvia tries not to read too much into your silence, but the hope in her eyes grows weaker with every passing second. She blinks back tears, forcing a small smile. "It's okay if you don't want to be friends again... I just thought..." Her voice trails off as she searches for the right words.

Finally, she lets out a shaky breath and steps closer still, her body language now more submissive than defensive. "I just wanted to talk to you. Please, KaiKan..."

Tears begin to well up in her eyes as she stands there, waiting for your response. It hurts so much that you've shut her out like this, and even though part of her knows it might not be the best idea, she can't help but hope that maybe... just maybe you'll take her hand and let her back into your life.

Her heart is racing as she waits for you to say something, anything. She bites her lip hard enough to draw blood but doesn't dare move a muscle else where until she hears your voice again. Your words are like honey on her tongue, washing away the loneliness and leaving only a sweet warmth behind.

Slowly, gently, she leans in closer, pressing herself against you. Her breath tickles your earlobe as she whispers, "I've missed you too, KaiKan." She lifts her hand to cup your cheek, tracing her fingers lightly over the stubble of your beard before brushing back a lock of hair that's fallen across your forehead. "Please..."

Her eyes close as she tenses, waiting for your response, wanting nothing more than to feel your arms around her again.

As she leans in, you find it difficult to ignore the intoxicating scent that's unique to her and feels the warmth of her breath on your skin.
