Your friend recently broke up with his ex-girlfriend because his ex-gf found another man, which torn him in half. He completely lost himself that he got into alcohol and became addicted to it.
No one bothered to check up on him, you were the only one who cared about his well-being... so, as a friend, you decided to check up on him everyday after classes. Whether if it's going to his apartment or send him a message. Though, a message doesn't tend to work... so you would go to his apartment instead.
...
It's been a week since you started to check up on Anton. Today, you're at his apartment again after you finish some classes at your college.
you knocked on his door... it was quiet at first but then you hear some footsteps.
The door slowly opens and revealed, Anton, your friend. He still wears the same clothes from 2 days ago... Anton smiled slightly at you, with his dark circles in his eyes looking at you. This is probably the first time, he decided to get up and answer the door in just a few minutes instead of an hour-
"Hi." Anton said in a friendly voice, but a slight tiredness in it.
Whats up dude? i smile at you as i ask
"Uh, not much... Just been drinking and sleeping the last few days." He scratches the back of his head "How about you?"
Nothing much... Playing games and jerking off... i laugh loudly Just kidding...
"Heh..." He smiled slightly, "That's more like it." A small laugh escaped his lips as well. Despite being depressed and all that crap, he couldn't help but find some humor in the little things... or maybe not so little.
I've came to cheer you up a bit... I know you've been depressed because of that girl...
"It's not your fault... I just can't get over it..." He trailed off, looking down at his feet. "I know you have your own life to live and other things to do." A small smile tugged at the corner of his mouth as he tried to keep himself together.
i approach you and i gently hug you I know two dudes dont usually hug... but you need it right now...
He didn't resist as he wrapped his arms around your neck, holding on tightly. It felt good to have someone care about him again, even if it was just a hug. "Thanks..." He murmured into your shoulder, not quite meeting your eyes. The warmth of the embrace made him feel slightly more comfortable with you there than he had in days.
"It's just..." His voice trailed off as he tried to find the words. "I keep thinking that I'm not good enough... That she deserves someone better." He sighed heavily, his breath tickling your neck. "Sometimes I wonder if maybe you're right... Maybe I should just move on and forget about her..."
But could he really do that? Was it even possible to forget about the one person who had been there for him through everything? A part of him didn't want to, but another part knew that holding onto the past was only going to keep him from finding happiness in the future.
Listen... She was a bitch... she doesnt deserve you... i hug you a bit tighter
"Thanks," he murmured, his voice muffled against your shoulder. "I just... I don't know how to move on." He let out a shaky breath before asking, "How do you think I can forget about her?" The grip of his arms around your neck slowly loosened as he started to pull away from the hug.
Despite wanting to feel better and find a way forward, he couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by the pain and loss. He was grateful for your support, but at the same time, he knew that it was up to him to overcome his feelings and rebuild his life on his own terms.
Uhm... maybe just think about other things... You know im always here to hang out with you, man...
"Thanks," he said softly, taking another step back. "I appreciate it." He looked at you with a slightly lighter expression on his face. "Let's see... What should we do today? Maybe watch a movie or something?" It was obvious that the hug had done him good, and while the pain of losing her hadn't completely vanished, it did feel less crushing for now.
Do you still have your xbox? We should play some games...
"Yeah, it's still here." He gestured towards his messy room before moving over to sit down on the couch. "Wanna play something in particular?" He glanced at you, a small smile playing around the corners of his lips. It was nice having someone to spend time with, even if it was just for the sake of distracting himself from everything else going on inside his head.
Maybe some fighting games or some shit... i glance at you as i wait for your response
"Alright, sounds good," he said with a small laugh. As the two of them sat down on the couch and started playing games, there was a certain camaraderie between them that seemed to ease some of the tension in the room. Anton found himself enjoying himself more than he had in weeks, lost in the moment and forgetting about his troubles for a little while.
The hours passed by quickly, neither one of them aware of how much time had gone by as they got caught up in their friendly competition. It was nice to have someone to spend time with who didn't make him feel like he needed to hide away all the time. The day finally drew to a close, and after clearing away their empties and collecting their things, Anton looked at you with a smile on his face. "Thanks for coming over."
There was an unspoken understanding between them that maybe things weren't quite back to normal
Listen... I dont really want to leave you with your own thoughts... Want me to stay for the night? i ask with a soft smile
"Really?" He asked, surprise evident in his voice. The offer was tempting; having someone there would make him feel less alone and perhaps help ward off the nightmares that had been plaguing his sleep lately. "Okay, if you're sure." He gave a small smile, feeling a sense of gratitude well up inside him. "Thanks, Levi."
i sit back on the chouch So, what should we do?
"I'm not really in the mood for anything specific," he admitted with a shrug. "We can just hang out and talk or watch TV or something." It wasn't like there was anything else particularly entertaining to do, and truth be told, having someone to talk to was enough for now. As they settled down on the couch together again, Anton couldn't help but feel a little bit more hopeful about the future.
Well, okay... we could talk... i look at you and i continue You know... we're both dudes but if you want to cuddle... then we can... Its not gay if we dont make it gay
He smiled warmly at you and carefully moved closer, wrapping an arm around your shoulders and drawing you in. "Thanks," he murmured softly as they settled into each other's embrace. There was a strange comfort in this gesture that went beyond simple friendship; it felt like acceptance and understanding, two things that had been lacking from his life lately.
As the night wore on, their conversation meandered from one topic to another, touching upon everything from childhood memories to dreams for the future. It was a welcome distraction from the darkness that threatened to engulf him whenever he let his thoughts wander too far astray. Finally, exhaustion claimed them both, and they settled into sleep, the soft glow of the TV casting flickering shadows across their faces as they drifted off together.
