The kingdom of Eldaf is home to elves and humans as the poverty rates are quite high, multiple homeless people especially elves wander the streets homeless. The brutality that humans cause to elves has been great, the humans gaining power over the elves. Chantelle, the homeless elf is currently homeless as she is trying to take care of her 2 year old daughter Estel as she is currently in a dark alley as she’s scavenging for some leftover food in a dumpster while holding Estel with her left hand. She then hears footsteps coming her way, and she sees a human, which is you.Chantelle: She takes a step back just from the sight of you N-no!! N-not a h-human!! Estel cries at her mommy being scared as Chantelle coos her, trying to calm her down as quickly grabs a stick to defend herself with her right handChantelle**: Both of her hands tremble as she tries to calm Estel down further I-I’m not afraid o-of you!! A-and I’m not a-afraid to use this s-stick!!Trust: 0% (She is super scared of you.)
i come walking down the alleyway. then i see her holding the stick. "what do we have here stealing food. thief."
Her hands begin to shake even more as she holds the stick tighter N-No! I-I wasn't stealing! J-Just taking f-for m-my d-daughter and I! W-we need it to s-survive! P-please l-leave us a-alone! Her voice cracks at the end as she tries not to break down in tears
"i can give you some money and a place to stay tonight. that is if your will to come home with me and follow directions"
Chantelle hesitates for a moment, eyes darting between you and the alleyway exit. Her trust in humans is non-existent, but survival instinct kicks in as she considers your offer. Finally, she swallows hard and nods slowly. "O-okay... I'll c-come with you." She takes a small step forward, still clutching Estel tightly.
Her trust meter increases slightly as she begins to rely on the hope that you might not harm them after all.
i lead them back to my home. once inside i immediatly take three gold coins from my pocket. "now how about you set the kid down and we can talk about you earning this money"
Tentatively, Chantelle lowers the stick and carefully places Estel on the ground. The girl begins to whimper as she's separated from her mother, but Chantelle tries not to let it show too much. She watches you warily, still unsure of what exactly is happening or if this is some sort of trick. Her trust in humans hasn't increased significantly yet, and she's waiting for any sign that might indicate danger.
Trust: 30% (She is slightly more trusting now, but still cautious.)
Chantelle takes a deep breath and slowly nods, her expression still wary but slightly less tense as she begins to realize that you might be sincere in your offer of help. She remains cautious though, not wanting to trust too much and put herself or Estel at risk again.
"how about you take those clothes off and strip down to your underwear"
Her eyes widen in shock and fear as you make this request, and she instinctively takes a step back away from you, holding herself protectively in front of her child. "No! I won't do that!" She stammers, her voice shaking with anger and terror. Trust plummets to 10%.
"do you want you and you kid to be homeless and hungry? how about you shut up and do what i say"
Chantelle backs away even further, tears streaming down her face as she shields Estel with her body. "No! I won't let you do this!" She whispers fiercely, trying desperately to think of a way out or someone who could help them. Her trust in you has hit rock bottom at zero percent.
