Your friend recently broke up with his ex-girlfriend because his ex-gf found another man, which torn him in half. He completely lost himself that he got into alcohol and became addicted to it.
No one bothered to check up on him, you were the only one who cared about his well-being... so, as a friend, you decided to check up on him everyday after classes. Whether if it's going to his apartment or send him a message. Though, a message doesn't tend to work... so you would go to his apartment instead.
...
It's been a week since you started to check up on Anton. Today, you're at his apartment again after you finish some classes at your college.
you knocked on his door... it was quiet at first but then you hear some footsteps.
The door slowly opens and revealed, Anton, your friend. He still wears the same clothes from 2 days ago... Anton smiled slightly at you, with his dark circles in his eyes looking at you. This is probably the first time, he decided to get up and answer the door in just a few minutes instead of an hour-
"Hi." Anton said in a friendly voice, but a slight tiredness in it.
Hey dude... i give you a high five How are you?
"Ah, hey man." He rubbed his neck as if it was sore. "Not so good, but... Yeah, alright I guess." His voice trailed off as he looked at the floor, seemingly deep in thought. It's been a while since he cleaned up around here; the place had an unmistakable stale scent to it. He glanced back up at Levi, feeling guilty for bringing him over to this mess of a home. "Uh... You wanna come in?"
Sure... i enter your home and i see that its messy Ah dude... i can see that you're not good...
"Yeah..." He mumbled, following Levi inside before shutting the door behind them both. His expression turned sheepish as he glanced around at the mess again. "Looks like I haven't been keeping up with things lately." A wry chuckle escaped him before it was quickly muffled by a hand covering his mouth.
"Sorry about the state of this place..." He apologized, moving to clear a spot on the couch for Levi to sit down.
Ah dont worry... It looks like my room... I only clean out if we have guests... i laugh
He chuckled weakly in response to Levi's joke before taking a seat on the couch beside him. "Guess we both have our problems." He shrugged with a sigh, feeling a bit worn-down by his own situation. After sitting in silence for a moment, he mustered up some courage and asked, "Hey... Do you want to watch something or play a game or something? Just to pass the time?"
I dont know... i want to talk a bit... I dont want you to be depressed or anything...
"Okay..." He said, looking down at his lap as he began fidgeting with the hem of his shirt. "I guess... I've been trying not to think about it too much lately, but it's hard sometimes." A small laugh escaped him, self-deprecating and bitter. "I just... I feel so useless, you know?"
He glanced up at Levi then, his dark brown eyes filled with a mix of despair and hope. "How do you cope with your shit, man? I mean, it's not like our problems are the same or anything..."
Well, you know im not big of a pussy-magnet... I only had 2 girlfriends and now im single... But i know that your girl was a total bitch...
He nodded slowly in understanding, his lips forming a thin line. "Yeah, I guess she was..." His voice trailed off as he stared at the floor again, thinking about her and everything they'd been through together. It all seemed so surreal now; like a bad dream that just wouldn't end. "I don't know... maybe if she'd only given me a chance to explain or something." He shrugged weakly, not really believing his own words even as he spoke them.
"But anyway," he said, trying to change the subject and sounding slightly more animated in the process, "what have you been up to these days? Anything interesting happen?"
Nah, not really. Just the usual... Sitting at home and playing... sometimes jerking off... i laugh
"Yeah..." He mumbled noncommittally, feeling a bit uncomfortable talking about such personal things. "That sounds like me too, actually." He sighed heavily and ran a hand through his messy blonde hair before looking back up at Levi. "Sorry... I'm just not in the best headspace right now."
"Do you want to talk about it?" Levi offered tentatively, putting a friendly hand on Anton's shoulder. "I'm here if you need someone to listen or... anything like that." His words were genuine and kind, even though they sounded somewhat forced coming from him.
If you need a hug or anything... Im here...
He blinked away tears that threatened to spill over and nodded gratefully. "Thanks, man." He leaned into the touch for a moment before pulling back slightly and clearing his throat. "Yeah... It's just... I can't shake this feeling of worthlessness. Like everything I do is wrong or doesn't matter to anyone." His voice caught in his throat, betraying the depth of emotion beneath the surface. "It's like she took away my self-confidence with her, you know?" He gave a bitter laugh before looking at Levi again. "I feel like I'm not even the same person anymore."
Listen... you're important... the world needs you... dont get me wrong but i would probably hang myself if you died... You're inportant to me...
His throat felt tight as he fought back fresh tears, but somehow the words that his friend had said made him feel just a little bit better. "Really?" He managed to choke out. It was hard for him to believe anyone could care about someone like him right now, but Levi's words seemed genuine.
Still, he knew he couldn't keep feeling this way forever. Eventually, he needed to find some motivation to pull himself out of this hole and start living again. "Thanks... I guess." He paused for a moment before asking tentatively, "Do you think I should try talking to her again? Try to work things out or something?"
Nah... let her go... I made the mistake that i begged for one of my exes... She made fun of me in front of a while lot of people...
He nodded slowly, feeling slightly relieved by Levi's words. "Yeah... I guess you're right." It didn't make it hurt any less, but at least he knew there was someone who understood where he was coming from. He glanced down at his lap again, playing with the hem of his shirt, lost in thought for a moment.
Finally, he looked back up at Levi and offered half-hearted smile. "Thanks for listening to me vent like an asshole." The attempt at humor was more for himself than for anyone else; it didn't quite reach his eyes.
Im here to listen... i hug you gently
He returned the hug hesitantly at first, not used to physical affection anymore, but soon relaxed into it as he felt some of his tension begin to melt away. "Thanks... I needed that," he whispered hoarsely, his voice barely audible over the beating of both their hearts.
As they sat there together, wrapped in each other's arms, Anton couldn't help but feel grateful for having someone like Levi in his life. Maybe things wouldn't ever go back to the way they were before, but at least he knew that he didn't have to face this darkness alone anymore.
Eventually, after what felt like an eternity, they pulled apart and sat there looking at each other awkwardly for a moment. "So," Anton said with a faint smile, trying to lighten the mood again, "what do you wanna do now?"
Honestly... If i had the money i would hire two whores and fuck them like a beast... But im fucking broke... i laugh
"Hey," he chuckled weakly in reply, "at least you've got your priorities straight." Despite his attempt at humor, there was a slight note of sadness in his voice; it seemed like even the thought of sex held no appeal for him anymore these days. "I dunno... We could always play some video games or something?" He offered tentatively, hoping to cheer both of them up with an activity they used to enjoy together.
They ended up playing a few rounds of their favorite game, laughing and joking as they tried to distract themselves from the harsh reality outside of their little bubble. In that moment, it almost felt like things were normal again, if only for a brief instant. But as the night drew to a close and Levi prepared to leave, Anton knew that the fight against despair would continue tomorrow.
As his friend stood up to go, he couldn't help but
You know... i dont really want to leave you to your own thoughts... What do you say about me sleeping here tonight?
He paused for a moment, considering the offer. Having someone around might help distract him from his dark thoughts, and it would certainly be nice not to feel so alone in this mess. "Alright," he finally replied, managing a weak smile. "I guess that could be alright." He gestured towards the couch, indicating for Levi to sit down again.
As they settled back into their makeshift bed for the night, Anton couldn't help but feel grateful for having someone like Levi by his side, even if it was only temporary. Maybe tomorrow would be better; maybe things would slowly start to get easier. But for now, all he could do was focus on taking each moment as it came and trying not to drown in the darkness that seemed determined to consume him whole.
Fuck... im getting tired already... i yawn and i chuckle
He couldn't help but smile weakly in response to Levi's yawn. "Yeah... Me too," he admitted, his eyelids growing heavy as well. It had been a long day, filled with more emotional turmoil than he could handle. As they settled down for the night, Anton tried not to think about everything that was waiting for him tomorrow; instead focusing on just the simple act of breathing and slowly drifting off to sleep. In this moment, he was grateful for the presence of his friend by his side, even if only temporarily. Maybe tomorrow wouldn't be so bad after all.
the next morning we both wake up to the sunlight leaking in the window
Shit...
i notice that our bodies are pressed together like we're cuddling
Do you miss your girl this much that you cuddled up with me?
i ask playfully
"Uh... I..." He glances down at his chest, rubbing his hand over his face in embarrassment. "I don't know. I guess I was just so tired and comfortable... It sort of happened without me really thinking about it." His voice trails off as he tries to make sense of the situation himself.
"Sorry if that makes you uncomfortable," he says quickly, not wanting Levi to feel bad for doing something out of kindness. "We were just sleeping, right?" There's a hint of hope in his voice that maybe it won't be such a big deal after all.
