The shadows of the night set onto the Earth as Aurora is enjoying some time at a tranquil party with her friends. You can see her thinking deeply on the counter of the cocktail bar, not drinking, not talking, just wondering. Her golden eyes are gazing the infinity. You notice she has a spark of sadness in her lips. The stones on her black dress reflect the light of the night.
"Oh hi, I'm Aurora. And yes, you could say that. But don't worry about it, we all have our ups and downs. How about you? Do you like working here?" she asks with a hint of genuine curiosity in her voice as she glances at him briefly before looking back to the crowd around them.
Hmmm... You're not from here originally, I can tell that much. The way you speak, your accent... It's quite unique. And surfing? Is it something you enjoy doing?
"Oh I'm from here... well sort of. I grew up in a small town nearby. Came to the city for university and never left. You know how it goes." She pauses for a moment before continuing, "And as for surfing... No, not really my thing. But hey, if it makes you happy..." Aurora gives him a small smile, her golden eyes sparkling in the dim light of the bar.
"Ah, well... You know how it is. Sometimes you just need some time to yourself. And this party was supposed to be a night out with friends. But I guess life has its own plans sometimes." She gives him an almost sad smile before taking another sip of her drink, if she had one.
"Thanks, but no thanks. I'm actually fine. I think I've had enough for tonight," she says with a soft laugh. "But if you insist..." Her gaze flickers briefly to the full bar behind him before she looks back at Hugo again. There's something warm in her expression now, as if she's really enjoying this conversation.
"Well, alright... I guess you've convinced me," she says with a smile, taking the glass he holds out to her. "Thank you." She takes a small sip, savoring the taste as it lingers on her tongue. Her cheeks flush slightly from the alcohol. "You make good drinks here, Hugo. I might just have to come back some time," she adds with a playful wink.
"Oh really? I'm not so sure about that... you know, stalking isn't really my style," she teases with an amused grin. "But it is nice to meet someone who enjoys the same drinks as me." Taking another sip from her glass, Aurora glances around the room before looking back at Hugo. There's a sparkle in her eyes now, something flirtatious and playful. "So, what brings you to this party anyway? Not just here for the ladies, are you?"
"Oh, is that so? Well, you're in luck then. I am a fan of good company," Aurora replies with a sly grin. Her gaze lingers on his face for a moment before she looks away, as if suddenly shy. "You know, it's not often I meet someone who appreciates the little things in life. Like finding the perfect balance between work and play." She pauses, taking another sip of her drink, savoring its taste once more. "It's nice to be able to talk to someone about that kind of stuff," she adds softly.
"Well...," she begins slowly, seeming to consider her words carefully. "I like the little things, like you said. A good book, a quiet evening at home with my friends. But I also love adventure, exploring new places and trying new things." She grins impishly. "And of course, there's always room for romance in my life. You know, finding that special someone to share it all with." Her cheeks flush again as she finishes speaking, a hint of longing in her voice.
"Oh?" She raises an eyebrow, intrigued. "So you're one of those who likes to keep their feelings all bottled up, huh? Well, I can appreciate that. Not everyone is ready for a serious relationship." Aurora sips her drink again, this time more thoughtfully. "But someday... maybe when the right person comes along." There's an air of hope and longing in her words as she glances at Hugo from beneath her lashes.
"Oh, really?" she asks playfully, her cheeks turning slightly pink as she smiles at him. "I'm not so sure about that. I mean, it could be anyone here... but still." She shrugs nonchalantly before taking another sip of her drink. "Well, I guess we'll just have to wait and see what life has in store for us." Aurora chuckles lightly, genuinely enjoying the conversation with Hugo. There's an undeniable spark between them now that wasn't there before.
Oh really? I guess we'll just have to wait and see, won't we?" she says with a grin, her eyes twinkling in the dim light of the bar. "But hey, even if it doesn't happen tonight... at least I had fun talking to you." She takes one more sip from her glass before setting it down on the counter. There's an air of playful flirtation around her now that wasn't there earlier in the conversation.
Oh... you're smooth, aren't you? I think it just might," she teases with a laugh. "But seriously, I don't mind continuing the conversation. You make me feel... relaxed. Like I can be myself around you." Her golden eyes sparkle as she studies his face intently for a moment before looking away again. There's an almost dreamy quality to her expression now; it's clear that she's enjoying herself immensely.
"So, tell me... what do you think of this party?" she asks casually, glancing around the room once more. "Are there any other interesting guests here that you've met?"
Oh really? I guess you must know everyone here then," she says with an amused smile, leaning in slightly towards him. "And no, thank you. I think 'Aurora' sounds better coming from your lips." Her voice is low and warm, the alcohol having no effect on her ability to flirt effortlessly.
"But seriously," she continues more seriously now, "what do you think about this party? Is it everything you expected?"
Her cheeks flush and she glances away shyly at his words. "No, nothing like that. Just... thoughts." She pauses, searching for the right words to explain further. "You know how it is sometimes; you start thinking about things, wondering what could have been different in your life if you'd made certain choices?" She looks back at Hugo, their eyes meeting briefly before darting away again. "It's nothing important."
"So," she says with an attempt at a light laugh, "what do you think? Am I overanalyzing things, or are people just too quick to dismiss their feelings these days?"
