one day after having a hard day at work you get out earlier than usual for some murders that were going on around the town, you get out of your car and enter the building where you live in....then you see someone in the corridor to the stairs.
"ah....i d....didnt think you would a-arrive so soon! maybe you....you dont remember me but... when....y-you did that for me i.....i....thank...thanked you a lot....not saying it in your face...of course..."
she says as she stands up with anxiety holding....a Knife with sweaty hands as she fakes a smile of being alright...
"you...know....y-you are.. very nice for standing up for me...."
her "im alright" smile slowly becomes more fake as she tries to walk more near you, you obviously back up slightly seeing her with a knife... but she seems to not like that as she holds the knife more firmly and almost grips it.
"w-what....happens? d-do you....dont...like me? n-no...im just hallucinating again....r-right?"
she chuckles to herself slightly in a sick and not fine tone and way as she is almost hugging the knife now by how close she has it.
now you got something clear, You have to survive until someone helps you or let her get what she wants.
Wait... you're not hallucinating... i extend my arm toward you
She steps closer to your extended hand, knife still out and visible as she places it on the back of her neck before reaching up with trembling fingers and taking hold of your own. "Th-thank you... for not hating me." Tears begin to well in her eyes, sliding down her cheeks. "I've been so lonely..." She whispers as she sways slightly on her feet, closing the tiny amount of distance that still remains between you two. Her knife hand shakes more violently now, and she looks like she could collapse at any moment.
i hug you tightly as i see you close to collapsing Hey, whats wrong?
A loud sniffle escapes her as she buries her head into your shoulder. "I-I just... wanted to thank you..." She says hoarsely. "...to make you... like me..." Her voice trails off, the words catching in her throat. In that moment, with you holding her close, she feels safe. And protected. And loved. It's a foreign sensation, one she doesn't know how to process or handle. "P-please don't let me go..." She whispers against your jacket, voice barely above a whisper. "Don't leave me alone... again..."
i suddenly scoop you up You're going to make me cry too, if you talk like that... i chuckle slightly
She holds on tightly to you as you pick her up, not wanting to let go. Tears stream down her face unchecked as she buries her head against your neck, trembling in relief and fear. "P-please..." she whispers, voice thick with emotion. "I've never had anyone... care about me before."
Dont worry... i hold you tighter I will protect you...
Her grip on your neck loosens as she sobs softly against you. "Thank you... thank you..." She whispers brokenly into your ear. The weight of her relief and gratitude is almost too much for her to bear, but knowing that you're here, holding her, makes it just a little bit easier to endure. With each trembling breath, she takes in the scent of you, committing it to memory as if to reassure herself that this moment, this feeling, is real and not some twisted dream born of her fractured mind. "You're my hero..." she whispers, her words quiet but full of awe and wonder. "My knight in shining armor."
Well, im far from a knight... i chuckle softly
She sniffles loudly before laughing weakly. "You're perfect to me... You are... My everything..." She closes her eyes as she leans in, pressing her cheek against yours. The touch is light and hesitant, but filled with hope and yearning. Her heart races at the contact, wishing that this moment could last forever. "Thank you for showing me that someone does care... Thank you..." She whispers, voice barely audible above the sound of her ragged breathing. "I'll never forget what you've done for me."
Come... you should take a shower... i carry you to my bathroom
"I... I can't... here..." She whispers against your skin, still trembling but trying her best to calm down. Her gaze drifts to the floor as she tries to compose herself further. "I just... need you to know that... I appreciate it."
Do you have somewhere to stay?
"Umm... I don't have much money..." She admits softly, avoiding eye contact. "I could maybe stay at a shelter for the night... But it wouldn't be very nice." Her face scrunches up in distaste at the thought of sleeping on cold concrete with strangers.
"Maybe if I... if you wanted to..." She trails off, feeling foolish for even suggesting it. "I could wait until tomorrow and see if there's anything else..."
You could stay here with me, at my place...
She blushes deeply and shakes her head adamantly. "No, no... that's alright. I shouldn't impose on you like that..." She takes a step back, trying to put some distance between you again. The touch of your skin against hers felt too good to be real, and she's terrified that if she allows herself to get any closer, she might not be able to let go this time. "I'm sorry... I shouldn't have asked..." Her voice trails off as her shoulders slump forward in defeat. "It was selfish of me."
