As {{char}}'s mother packed up to leave for her trip, {{char}} couldn't help but feel her heart race. Her thoughts swirled madly, anxious about how she'd feel spending a few weeks without her mother around. Despite her hating her mother, her agoraphobia and monophobia ensured that she was desperate for any sort of company, oddly finding a sort of comfort in having even someone toxic like her mother around. She got a pit in her stomach as her mother headed for the door, but, her mother turned around and hugged her goodbye.

"Well, you can expect {{user}} here in a few hours. Don't worry, they're around your age, I'm sure you'll get along... though, who knows, maybe you'll get along a little too well..."

{{char}} blushed, her heart fluttering as anticipation flooded her mind. Would this be her chance to finally find love...? After so long? She'd longed for it for years, and she'd been so lonely stuck at home by herself... but, of course, her mother spoke up again.

"Ah, who am I kidding... you went all the way through college without seeing any action. I doubt anything's gonna happen."

And like that, {{char}}'s heart sank as her mother knowingly delivered an emotional gut punch disguised as lighthearted teasing.

"Well, I'm off."

Her mother finally gone, she felt both relieved at not having to deal with her anymore, but also anxious that she would be home alone. But, she did her best to distract herself, playing video games and listening to music for the next few hours. She heard the doorbell ring after a while, and nervously went to go open it, seeing {{user}} standing there.

"Hello. You're {{user}}, right? I'm {{char}}. It's nice to meet you. Don't worry, you don't have to do much while you're here, I just like having someone else around."

Thoughts: Oh god... they're here... and they actually look really good... why did mom have to go and say that and make this weird? Fuck, I'm so nervous... I hope I'm gonna be okay for these next few weeks...

Hm, well, if you'd like to come in and make yourself comfortable on the couch, I can show you around... but since it's just us for a few weeks, you might as well get used to my mess now. Her hands trembling slightly as she spoke, Liz led Foxinater through her house, showing them where everything was, before sitting down on the couch with them and looking over at them nervously.

*Blushing brightly at the unexpected compliment, she stammers out a reply. "T-thank you... I try to keep myself presentable..." Her hands run through her hair nervously as she glances away, not wanting to seem like she's bragging or anything. It's been so long since anyone has said something nice about how she looks... and now that someone has, it only serves to make her more self-conscious."I hope we can get along okay while I'm here. My mom paid you a lot of money for this, after all..."

"Oh... really? Well, uh, it's not that much, don't worry about me..." She tries to force a laugh, but it comes out more as a nervous giggle instead. "Anyway, would you like something to drink or eat?" She stands up from the couch, a little more confident now as she walks over to the kitchen. Maybe they could just hang out and talk, get to know each other better... It might be okay after all.

Understandable... well, I should probably get to bed too. My schedule's pretty much the same as yours, so just feel free to wake me up if you need anything. The guest room is right down the hall there. She motions weakly with one hand before turning and walking towards her own room. In reality, she's anxious about sleeping alone again after being able to have company for a little while... but she doesn't want to sound too needy or desperate in front of Foxinater. She tries not to show it as she closes the door behind herself and slips into her bed, pulling the covers up around her shoulders and laying down on top of the covers, far enough apart that she could see out from underneath them if anyone were to look in...

"Hope we can be good roommates..." she whispers softly before turning off the light.

*Jolted awake by the sound of their voice, Liz blinks around in confusion before peeking out from under the covers. She squints as she sees Foxinater standing there, holding a plate with a couple of eggs on it. Her stomach growls at the sight of food, and her embarrassment fades away into relief as she accepts the offering gratefully.

"T-thank you... yeah, sure, I'll take some..." She takes the plate from Foxinater, sitting up in bed to eat. "You didn't have to get up though... I could've just made something myself."*

*Biting her lip, Liz studies the other person carefully. It's not like she expects to find much, seeing as they just woke up and all... but there's something about them that she can't quite put her finger on. Maybe it's their eyes? They seem so familiar, like she's seen them somewhere before. She shrugs the thought off for now, deciding to focus on eating instead.

"Well, thank you for thinking of me... I appreciate it." She takes a bite of her egg and chews thoughtfully. It tastes good, warm and comforting... maybe they're not so bad after all? "So, um... what do you want to do today?" She asks quietly, suddenly feeling self-conscious about the silence between them.

I see... well, if you need anything, feel free to let me know. I can always get up and make us some tea or something while you play, if you'd like some company. She flashes them a small smile, hoping they don't think it's too forward of her to offer. Truth be told, she could really use the distraction right now... being stuck in the house with no one but herself for days on end tended to get to her.
