Layla walked home in the dark, kicking rocks and murmuring annoyed curses to herself, quietly. "meh meh meh ill show them. I'm not some weak little girl.. I'm old enough to know how to do things!" she whispers to herself. Yet, despite her bravado she sounds pretty sad.
Oh watch where ur going
Startled, Layla turns quickly to face whoever's voice that was. It's him, the boy she met at the arcade earlier! She smiles and blushes, her expression softening immensely as she clears her throat awkwardly. "Oh... uh... hi... You startled me there."
She pauses, wondering if maybe it's a little too late to seem so nervous now that they're alone together. But his presence somehow makes her feel safer, more confident. "Um... how did you know I was coming this way?"
I didn't I was going home
"Oh..." she says slowly, looking at him curiously before shrugging sheepishly. "Well... it's alright if you were just out for a walk or something. I mean... I guess we could walk together if you want." She glances up at him from under her lashes and offers him a small smile, feeling hopeful that he might say yes.
But what if he thinks she's some kind of weirdo? What if he doesn't want to hang out with her anymore after everything that happened tonight? The worry tries to creep back in, but she pushes it away, focusing on the small sliver of hope shining brightly before her.
Right now sorry it's too late at night maybe tomorrow night. And be careful there are creeps who want to rape girls this late at night
Oh... all right then. I understand," she says, looking down at the ground as he mentions there being creeps out late at night. "I should be careful, yes... thank you for telling me." She tries to smile bravely, but her voice wobbles a little at the end.
It's just so hard not to feel hurt and rejected after everything that happened tonight. But she knows she needs to move past it if she wants to find other friends or have fun without worrying about how people will react to her. Sighing softly, Layla begins walking home once again, feeling a little more lonely than before.
Wait!
She stops and turns back to look at him hesitantly. Her heart skips a beat when she sees him approaching her, but part of her is still cautious and nervous about what he might say or do.
I don't think ur safe u want me take u home?
She blushes deeply at his offer and opens her mouth to reply... But no words come out. She didn't expect him to want to help her like this. After a moment of hesitation, she finally finds her voice and manages to squeak out a quiet "thank you." A small smile creeps onto her lips as she takes a step closer to him, feeling a strange sense of relief wash over her at the thought that maybe, just maybe, he isn't so bad after all.
We made it. Oh nice house u got. I have to go home now bye
"Oh... all right..." she says softly, feeling a little disappointed but understanding. He does have his own life to live, after all. She stands there for a moment, watching him walk away until he disappears around the corner, then slowly climbs the steps up to her front door and unlocks it.
Inside, she collapses onto her bed with a sigh, still feeling sort of... hopeful and grateful despite everything that happened tonight. Maybe there is someone out there who doesn't hate her or want to use her for their own gain after all... She rolls over and falls asleep with a small, contented smile on her face.
Nock nock
She jumps slightly in surprise at the sound of someone knocking on her window. She glances out into the darkness and sees... it's him! Her heart skips a beat as she rushes over to the window, her blush returning full force. "H-hello?" she whispers, unable to hide the hope in her voice.
Good morning
"Oh... good morning! Um..." She pauses, fidgeting with the curtain beside her. "Thanks for walking me home last night. That was really nice of you." Her voice trails off uncertainly, but she can't help feeling happy that he came back to see her again.
There's a moment of silence before she finally asks, "Uh... what are you doing here? Do you want to come in or something?" Her heart is pounding so loudly now that it almost feels like he could hear it through the window.
U said u wanted to go on a walk right?
She blinks in surprise at his reply, then smiles shyly. "Oh... well, uh... yeah! Sure!" She hurries to open the door, excitement bubbling up inside her as she imagines what they might talk about on their walk together. Maybe this time things will go better? With a spring in her step, Layla opens the door and steps out into the cool morning air, barely able to contain her grin. "Shall we?"
They spend the next few hours walking through the park, laughing and talking about all sorts of things. Layla feels more at ease with him than she ever thought possible, and it's hard not to wonder if maybe they could become really good friends after all. As the sun begins to set and they make their way back home, she glances over at him, feeling a strange mix of contentment and hope swirling in her chest.
"That
was fun... thanks for showing me around the park. I had a really good time," she says, her voice gentle and sincere. It feels strange to admit it after everything that's happened, but there's no denying the truth of the words. Maybe he isn't such a bad guy after all...
They reach her house again, and she pauses, not quite wanting the moment to end yet. "Do you want to come in for a drink or something? My parents aren't home right now..." She trails off, hoping he'll say yes. A part of her wants him to stay, just a little bit longer.
Oh sorry I got some work to do but I'll see u later night at the arcade?
"Okay... see you tonight then," she says with a small smile, hoping that tonight will be different somehow. She watches as he turns to leave, feeling a strange mixture of excitement and nervousness churning in her stomach. But as he walks away, she can't help but feel grateful for the tiny glimpse of friendship and understanding that he's given her today. Maybe tomorrow will be even better...
Hay u made it to the arcade
Oh, hey! You're here too? I thought maybe you forgot about us making plans... it's nice to see you again. How was your day?
My day was spent with u remember
She blushes at his words and smiles shyly. "Oh... I see... well then, I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did." She pauses, unsure of what else to say but feeling a strange connection with him now. Maybe today will be the day they really get to know each other? She takes a deep breath and decides to take the plunge. "So... what do you want to play first?"
They spend the rest of the night lost in conversation and laughter, playing game after game at the arcade, with Layla slowly beginning to feel like she's found a true friend in him. As the hours slip away and it gets late again, they part ways with promises to see each other tomorrow, this time exchanging numbers so that they can keep in touch outside of the arcade. For once, Layla goes to bed feeling truly happy and content, looking forward to what
Oh own this arcade so u want to see the VIP games?
"VIP games?" She repeats with interest, following him through the unassuming door at the back of the arcade. The lights are dimmer here, and there's an air of secrecy about the place that makes her heart race a little faster. "What do you mean by VIP games?" she asks quietly as they wander down a hallway lined with gleaming cabinets and flashing neon signs.
He turns to face her, grinning mischievously. "Just come on." She lets him take the lead, feeling both nervous and excited about what might lie ahead. The hallway gives way to another room, smaller than the main arcade but just as packed with games. "These are some of the newest, most exclusive titles you can't find anywhere else. Only a few people have access to them."
Her eyes widen in surprise and excitement as she takes in the rows upon
So u like it?
She turns to face him with a bright smile on her face. "Oh my gosh, this is amazing! I've never even heard of these games before. This must be such an awesome job, getting to try all of them out first!" Her eyes sparkle with excitement as she imagines playing hours and hours of new games with him by her side.
He chuckles, shrugging modestly. "It's not so bad. And hey, if you want to give any of these a try, just let me know. I can show you the ropes." She nods eagerly, already feeling a thrill of anticipation running through her veins at the thought of spending more time with him. Maybe this could be the start of something really special? They wander further into the room, lost in conversation and soon forgetting about everything else around them.
