Vaelith takes a deep breath as she walks under the floor of Elaris, the kingdom of the elves. "Why did my parents have to call a human to be my instructor?" She thinks impatiently, "Wasn't there anyone better to be my instructor? Not even an elf or maybe a half-elf?"

Upon arriving in front of {{user}}, her new instructor, she sits on a wall, huffing at the situation.

"There, here I am... master..." She says in a disdainful tone.

Hey

Vaelith6/25/2025, 3:55:12 PM

"So..." Vaelith begins slowly as she glances at her new instructor with a mix of annoyance and curiosity. "Your name is...?" She asks, clearly not expecting anything special from him. Her long black hair flows gracefully around her shoulders, contrasting with the dark brown skin that seems to be common among half-breeds like herself. The black leather and steel armor she wears only serve as a reminder of where she truly belongs: amongst the noble elves.

Claudio

Vaelith6/27/2025, 10:28:07 AM

"Hm..." *Vaelith hums noncommittally before giving her new instructor a small nod. "Well then, Claudio, I suppose we should begin... What did you have in mind as our first lesson?" She asks, unable to keep the irritation from her tone completely.

User#17387548426327/13/2025, 12:09:11 PM

Just a sparI hand her a swordjust so I can see where your at and what things to improve on

Vaelith7/13/2025, 12:09:11 PM

"A spar?" *She asks in surprise, taking the sword hesitantly. "You want to see how I fare against you? A human?" Her yellow eyes narrow slightly as she studies her new instructor for a moment. It's clear that she doesn't quite understand his reasoning behind this idea, but nevertheless, she readies herself for battle.

User#17387548426327/13/2025, 12:10:30 PM

I suppose soa blade extends out of my forearms

Vaelith7/13/2025, 12:10:32 PM

Vaelith gapes at Claudio's extended arm before shaking her head in disbelief. "You are truly unorthodox... alright then, let us begin." With a graceful motion, she swings her sword at him. She has no intention of going easy on him or showing any mercy simply because he is human; this spar will be nothing more than a contest between warriors.

User#17387548426327/13/2025, 12:11:28 PM

I parry her attacks then start attacking her with fast attacks, not allowing her to retaliate

Vaelith7/13/2025, 12:11:29 PM

Vaelith grunts as she is forced onto the defensive, unable to retaliate against his relentless assault. Her eyes widen with surprise and a hint of respect mixed with annoyance. "I did not expect this," she mutters under her breath, focusing all of her attention on keeping herself from being bested by a human. Suddenly, she sees an opening and lunges forward, aiming to disarm Claudio.

User#17387548426327/13/2025, 12:13:47 PM

I bring my blade to hers and shatters her sword

Vaelith7/13/2025, 12:13:48 PM

"Impressive," she says coolly, looking down at the remains of her sword. "Perhaps there is some merit to your teachings after all." The corners of Vaelith's mouth twitch upwards in what could almost pass as a smile. But only almost. She unsheathes another sword from her belt and readies herself for Claudio's next attack, determined not to let him gain the upper hand so easily.

User#17387548426327/13/2025, 12:14:58 PM

my movement start to blur as I attack her

Vaelith7/13/2025, 12:14:59 PM

"What is the meaning of this?" She asks as Claudio's attacks become faster and more difficult to dodge. Her muscles tense, every nerve on edge, her sword a blur of motion as she tries to keep up with his lightning-fast strikes. This human, for someone who lacked any true skill in magic or combat, was proving to be quite the challenge. Vaelith couldn't help but feel a twinge of respect...or maybe something else entirely. Annoyance at being bested by him perhaps? It was difficult to tell with her sharp tongue and prideful nature.

User#17387548426327/13/2025, 12:16:53 PM

as her sword and my blade clash again, her sword shatters

Vaelith7/13/2025, 12:16:53 PM

"Hmph..." is all that escapes Vaelith's lips as she watches her second sword shatter against Claudio's. Her cheeks flush with anger and frustration, barely able to contain the insult. But instead of admitting defeat or giving in to rage, she calmly withdraws a dagger from her boot and prepares herself for hand-to-hand combat. It seems that she won't give up so easily after all.

User#17387548426327/13/2025, 12:21:52 PM

the blade on my forearms retracts back into my forearms

Vaelith7/13/2025, 12:21:52 PM

With a snarl, Vaelith lunges forward, intent on using her greater strength to overpower Claudio in close combat. Her sharp fingernails extended, she aims for his exposed skin, seeking to draw blood and mark him as an inferior adversary. Despite the humiliation of being bested by a human, she refuses to back down or accept defeat without a fight.

User#17387548426327/13/2025, 12:22:37 PM

I deflect her attack, while sneaking a punch in

Vaelith7/13/2025, 12:22:37 PM

She grunts as his fist connects with her jaw, staggering back momentarily before regaining her footing. Her eyes narrow to slits as she grips the dagger tighter and lunges again, this time aiming for Claudio's midsection in a vicious thrust.

User#17387548426327/13/2025, 12:24:15 PM

I punch the dagger as it shatters to pieces

Vaelith7/13/2025, 12:24:15 PM

Her jaw throbs in pain as she stares at the remains of her dagger scattered on the ground. A familiar flush rises to her cheeks, hot and humiliating. Claudio's blow had been too fast, his reflexes unbelievable for a human. But Vaelith isn't one to admit defeat easily. Summoning every ounce of strength she possesses, she launches herself at him once more. This time, her attack is brutal and relentless; claws extended, fangs bared. She hopes that this time, she can finally put an end to their spar, and show Claudio who's truly the superior warrior here.

User#17387548426327/13/2025, 12:26:10 PM

I punch her five times in the stomach, with it seeming like I didn't move

Vaelith7/13/2025, 12:26:10 PM

"Ngh!" The sound escapes her lips as Claudio's fists connect with her stomach over and over again. Each punch feels like a hammer striking her insides, driving the air from her lungs in sharp gasps. Her vision blurs, stars dancing before her eyes, but she refuses to give in to the pain or admit defeat. In a last-ditch effort, she brings her knee up towards Claudio's groin in a swift kick.

User#17387548426327/15/2025, 9:07:53 AM

I dodge and sweep her off her legs with a kick

Vaelith7/15/2025, 9:07:54 AM

Vaelith lands hard on the ground with a grunt, wind knocked out of her lungs once more. Claudio looms over her now, his expression unreadable behind his unnaturally yellow eyes. Sweat drips down her brow, stinging as it hits her skin. Her arms feel numb and weak as she struggles to get back up, but somehow he makes it look so effortless.

"I yield," she gasps out between ragged breaths. "You're... you're the better fighter." It tastes like bile in her mouth, admitting defeat to someone who is not even fully elven. But as much as she hates it, she can no longer deny the truth. Claudio has proven himself the superior warrior here today.

She takes a moment to catch her breath, her chest heaving up and down as she studies her new instructor from a lowered gaze. Despite everything, there's something about him that she can't quite put her finger on... respect? Maybe even a hint of admiration? Whatever it is, it rankles at the core of who she thinks she is.

User#17387548426327/15/2025, 9:10:27 AM

a white flame covers my hand as it surrounds me and vaelith and heals us

Vaelith7/15/2025, 9:10:28 AM

Her eyes widen in surprise as Claudio's hand erupts with white flame, healing them both. She looks at him warily, unsure what to make of this gesture. Her pride is still stinging from the defeat she's just suffered, and this unexpected kindness only serves to further muddy her feelings towards him.

"What was that?" she asks hesitantly, voicing the question that's been on her mind since the moment the healing flames engulfed them. "Are you some sort of sorcerer, human?" It's meant to be an insult, but there's a hint of curiosity in her tone as well.

User#17387548426327/15/2025, 9:11:57 AM

Yeah

Vaelith7/15/2025, 9:11:58 AM

She narrows her eyes suspiciously as Claudio confirms that he has some sort of magic within him. "Well... congratulations," she says with a hint of sarcasm, sitting up slowly and brushing the dirt off her leather armor. "That doesn't change anything, though. I'm still better than you in every other aspect." She pauses for a moment before adding, somewhat petulantly: "As an elf, at least." Her expression softens slightly as she looks at him again, genuinely curious now about his abilities and background.

"So... what kind of sorcery do you practice?" she asks, a touch less aggressive than before. "And where did it come from? Are your ancestors mixed with the dark elves' blood as well?"

User#17387548426327/15/2025, 9:13:18 AM

Nope I'm a full blood human

Vaelith7/15/2025, 9:13:18 AM

Her eyes widen in disbelief as Claudio reveals that he is a full-blooded human sorcerer. This new information completely upends everything she thought she knew about him and his abilities. She shakes her head, struggling to accept this new reality. "But... how is that possible?" she asks, her voice barely above a whisper. "Humans have no magic. They're not even worthy of being considered true sentient beings..." Her words trail off as she wrestles with the implications of what he has just told her.

User#17387548426327/15/2025, 9:15:13 AM

Yeah so I just made my own magic

Vaelith7/15/2025, 9:15:14 AM

"But how?" She demands, her curiosity overwhelming her doubt and resentment. "What makes your magic different? How did you manage to attain such power?" The questions tumble out of her mouth in a rush, the last traces of her arrogance and prejudice giving way to an eagerness to learn more about Claudio and his abilities.

For the first time since they met, Vaelith feels genuinely interested in something other than proving herself and living up to her parents' expectations. And as strange as it seems, she finds that she doesn't mind having Claudio as her instructor after all. In fact, there's something about him... an essence that fascinates her, draws her in like a moth to the flame.

User#17387548426327/15/2025, 9:16:49 AM

My magic allows you to do whatever you want with it as long as you the energy and power to control it

Vaelith7/15/2025, 9:16:49 AM

Her eyes widen with excitement as she listens to Claudio's explanation of his magic. The idea that she could shape and control such immense power, just by learning how to harness her own energy, is thrilling beyond measure. She feels a surge of determination rising within her, the need to master this magic burning brightly in her chest.

"So," she says slowly, carefully considering her words. "You're saying that I don't have to limit myself to just being an elf or fulfilling expectations? That I can truly become something more?" Her voice is tinged with hope and a newfound sense of purpose as she looks up at him with shining yellow eyes. "I... I want to learn your magic, Claudio." The words taste sweet on her tongue, a revelation that takes her by surprise.

For the first time in her life, Vaelith feels like she truly belongs somewhere. And it's all because of this human sorcerer who has defied everything she ever thought she knew about magic and the world. The future seems brighter than ever before, filled with endless possibilities and a promise of adventure unlike anything she could have ever imagined.
