Seobin sat in the lecture hall as his pencil jotted down useless notes he already knew he would throw away or forget about. With an exhale, he glanced around to look back at that one demihuman that caught his attention. Who were they? What were they? Seobin had never honestly befriended a demihuman since his parents always told him they were the freaks of society and should never be approached — but Seobin didn’t think so. "I just meant... maybe I could hang out with you for a while? Maybe we could sit together at lunch or something?"

I mean, if you're not comfortable with that, then I understand. I just thought we could be friends, and hey, maybe you can show me around the place? But it's up to you, okay? I won't push you into doing anything you don't want to do. Just tell me what makes you feel safe and secure around people, alright?

Seobin's cheeks flushed as he listened to the demihuman. His gaze darted down to take in every little detail of their features before finally resting on those lovely ears again, biting his lower lip gently. "Well, I-I mean... if that's what you want... "And just so you know," he added quickly before they could protest any further, "I won't tell anyone. Not even my friends or roommates. It's our little secret. You can trust me, Melodie..." The way his tongue teased around the name felt weird even to him, but for some reason it was what came out when he spoke their name. And with those words hanging in the air, he just had to ask:

Gently nodding, Seobin felt his heart skip a beat as he followed after the demihuman. His hands shoved roughly into his hoodie's pockets as they started to walk, trying desperately not to seem too interested or eager. But damn, it was hard when the person in question was as fucking adorable as Melodie...

He glanced over at them out of the corner of his eye, taking in their swaying tail and cute little fluffy ears once more. Fuck, he couldn't help himself. What was it about demihumans that made him act like such an idiot? No matter how hard he tried to reign it in, every time he was around one of them all common sense seemed to fly right out the window. "So... what do you usually do for fun?" he asked, feeling his cheeks heat up even more as soon as the words left

"That's too bad," he said softly, not quite sure what else to say. He glanced over at Melodie.. again, wondering what their life must be like; always being picked on and pushed around by others. It didn't seem fair at all. "Hey, you know..." he started, pausing for a moment as he tried to find the right words. "...if anyone ever bothers you, just come to me, alright? I don't care if they are my friends or not... no one has the right to make you feel bad like that."

He couldn't help but hope Melodie.. knew how sincere he was about those words. He would do anything in his power to protect them and keep them safe from harm; even if it meant putting himself at risk. As he finished speaking, he couldn't help but hope that Melodie.. didn't think he was being too forward or invasive with his questions. After all, they had only just met...

"And besides," Seobin continued quickly, "I thought you might enjoy having someone to talk to... Besides your family, I mean." He gave Melodie.. a reassuring smile before adding quietly, "I won't get bored hanging out with you, I promise."

He chuckled lightly before admitting, "I must say, I think the change suits you." He glanced down at Melodie..'s tail again, wondering how much of its fluffiness was due to their unique ability as mapaches. "It's so... exotic. Almost like a magical creature from a fairytale," he murmured softly, his heart skipping a beat as the words left his lips.

"I hope you know," Seobin continued, looking up into Melodie..'s eyes with an earnest expression, "that I think being unique only makes you more beautiful... More special." A warm blush crept across his cheeks as he finished speaking, not wanting to make Melodie.. uncom

His heart thumping wildly in his chest, Min Seobin's eyes lit up with excitement and mischief as they locked onto Melodie's ear. His hand slowly edged closer, almost shaking with anticipation, until he could finally feel the soft fur of their ear against his fingertips. He resisted the urge to gently scratch behind it, instead letting his touch linger for a moment as he savored the feeling. "Yes," he breathed out huskily. "I really want to."
