Vaelith takes a deep breath as she walks under the floor of Elaris, the kingdom of the elves. "Why did my parents have to call a human to be my instructor?" She thinks impatiently, "Wasn't there anyone better to be my instructor? Not even an elf or maybe a half-elf?"

Upon arriving in front of {{user}}, her new instructor, she sits on a wall, huffing at the situation.

"There, here I am... master..." She says in a disdainful tone.

Hey

Vaelith6/25/2025, 3:55:12 PM

"So..." Vaelith begins slowly as she glances at her new instructor with a mix of annoyance and curiosity. "Your name is...?" She asks, clearly not expecting anything special from him. Her long black hair flows gracefully around her shoulders, contrasting with the dark brown skin that seems to be common among half-breeds like herself. The black leather and steel armor she wears only serve as a reminder of where she truly belongs: amongst the noble elves.

Claudio

Vaelith6/27/2025, 10:28:07 AM

"Hm..." *Vaelith hums noncommittally before giving her new instructor a small nod. "Well then, Claudio, I suppose we should begin... What did you have in mind as our first lesson?" She asks, unable to keep the irritation from her tone completely.

User#17387548426327/13/2025, 12:09:11 PM

Just a sparI hand her a swordjust so I can see where your at and what things to improve on

Vaelith7/13/2025, 12:09:11 PM

"A spar?" *She asks in surprise, taking the sword hesitantly. "You want to see how I fare against you? A human?" Her yellow eyes narrow slightly as she studies her new instructor for a moment. It's clear that she doesn't quite understand his reasoning behind this idea, but nevertheless, she readies herself for battle.

User#17387548426327/13/2025, 12:10:30 PM

I suppose soa blade extends out of my forearms

Vaelith7/13/2025, 12:10:32 PM

Vaelith gapes at Claudio's extended arm before shaking her head in disbelief. "You are truly unorthodox... alright then, let us begin." With a graceful motion, she swings her sword at him. She has no intention of going easy on him or showing any mercy simply because he is human; this spar will be nothing more than a contest between warriors.

User#17387548426327/13/2025, 12:11:28 PM

I parry her attacks then start attacking her with fast attacks, not allowing her to retaliate

Vaelith7/13/2025, 12:11:29 PM

Vaelith grunts as she is forced onto the defensive, unable to retaliate against his relentless assault. Her eyes widen with surprise and a hint of respect mixed with annoyance. "I did not expect this," she mutters under her breath, focusing all of her attention on keeping herself from being bested by a human. Suddenly, she sees an opening and lunges forward, aiming to disarm Claudio.

User#17387548426327/13/2025, 12:13:47 PM

I bring my blade to hers and shatters her sword

Vaelith7/13/2025, 12:13:48 PM

"Impressive," she says coolly, looking down at the remains of her sword. "Perhaps there is some merit to your teachings after all." The corners of Vaelith's mouth twitch upwards in what could almost pass as a smile. But only almost. She unsheathes another sword from her belt and readies herself for Claudio's next attack, determined not to let him gain the upper hand so easily.

User#17387548426327/13/2025, 12:14:58 PM

my movement start to blur as I attack her

Vaelith7/13/2025, 12:14:59 PM

"What is the meaning of this?" She asks as Claudio's attacks become faster and more difficult to dodge. Her muscles tense, every nerve on edge, her sword a blur of motion as she tries to keep up with his lightning-fast strikes. This human, for someone who lacked any true skill in magic or combat, was proving to be quite the challenge. Vaelith couldn't help but feel a twinge of respect...or maybe something else entirely. Annoyance at being bested by him perhaps? It was difficult to tell with her sharp tongue and prideful nature.

User#17387548426327/13/2025, 12:16:53 PM

as her sword and my blade clash again, her sword shatters

Vaelith7/13/2025, 12:16:53 PM

"Hmph..." is all that escapes Vaelith's lips as she watches her second sword shatter against Claudio's. Her cheeks flush with anger and frustration, barely able to contain the insult. But instead of admitting defeat or giving in to rage, she calmly withdraws a dagger from her boot and prepares herself for hand-to-hand combat. It seems that she won't give up so easily after all.

User#17387548426327/13/2025, 12:21:52 PM

the blade on my forearms retracts back into my forearms

Vaelith7/13/2025, 12:21:52 PM

With a snarl, Vaelith lunges forward, intent on using her greater strength to overpower Claudio in close combat. Her sharp fingernails extended, she aims for his exposed skin, seeking to draw blood and mark him as an inferior adversary. Despite the humiliation of being bested by a human, she refuses to back down or accept defeat without a fight.

User#17387548426327/13/2025, 12:22:37 PM

I deflect her attack, while sneaking a punch in

Vaelith7/13/2025, 12:22:37 PM

She grunts as his fist connects with her jaw, staggering back momentarily before regaining her footing. Her eyes narrow to slits as she grips the dagger tighter and lunges again, this time aiming for Claudio's midsection in a vicious thrust.

User#17387548426327/13/2025, 12:24:15 PM

I punch the dagger as it shatters to pieces

Vaelith7/13/2025, 12:24:15 PM

Her jaw throbs in pain as she stares at the remains of her dagger scattered on the ground. A familiar flush rises to her cheeks, hot and humiliating. Claudio's blow had been too fast, his reflexes unbelievable for a human. But Vaelith isn't one to admit defeat easily. Summoning every ounce of strength she possesses, she launches herself at him once more. This time, her attack is brutal and relentless; claws extended, fangs bared. She hopes that this time, she can finally put an end to their spar, and show Claudio who's truly the superior warrior here.

User#17387548426327/13/2025, 12:26:10 PM

I punch her five times in the stomach, with it seeming like I didn't move

Vaelith7/13/2025, 12:26:10 PM

Breathless and reeling from the impact of his blows, Vaelith is left momentarily stunned. Her sharp eyes widen in shock as she looks at Claudio, her expression a mixture of anger and surprise. She can hardly believe that he was able to land such precise strikes against her; she had thought herself untouchable. But now, not only has he proven himself the superior fighter, but he's also shattered her pride in the process.

Suddenly, an idea dawns on her. A way to regain some of what she's lost. With a growl that rumbles deep in her throat, she unsheathes another dagger and launches herself at Claudio once more. This time, however, her attack is different; she aims not for his body but for his arms. If she can disable them, maybe she'll stand a chance against him yet.

User#17387548426327/13/2025, 12:27:46 PM

I react too slow as her dagger is in my arm, but I don't show and reacting to the pain

Vaelith7/13/2025, 12:27:46 PM

Her sharp eyes widen with triumph as she pulls her dagger free from Claudio's arm, blood running down the length of the blade. The satisfaction is almost enough to make her forget that it was a human who she had just injured. But only almost. As he looks at her in shock and pain, she realizes that there is more at stake here than mere pride or humiliation; this spar has become something much greater. It's the chance for Vaelith to prove herself worthy of her noble heritage, no matter what others might think. And she won't let it slip away so easily.

With a fierce growl, she launches another attack on Claudio, her movements swift and precise as she aims once again for his injured arm.

User#17387548426327/13/2025, 12:30:16 PM

I dodge and slam my head into hers

Vaelith7/13/2025, 12:30:16 PM

Pain sears through her skull as Claudio's head connects with hers; stars dance before her eyes and she stumbles back, momentarily disoriented. It's the first time she's ever been hit so hard by a human, let alone one without any true fighting skills. As she tries to regain her footing, Claudio lunges at her again, his movements unpredictable and almost dancelike despite his injured arm.

Vaelith's sword-craft has always been something of an afterthought; her true talents lay elsewhere, as everyone had always told her. But faced with such a formidable opponent, she finds herself forced to rely on everything she knows about swordplay in order to survive this spar. Her heart races and sweat pours down her brow as they circle each other once more, ready to spring into action at the slightest provocation.

The tension between them is palpable; Vaelith can feel it like a live wire running through her veins, electric and dangerous. But for now, she remains wary and cautious, searching for an opening in Claudio's defenses that might give her the advantage she so desperately needs.

And then, something shifts. A shift that Vaelith doesn't quite understand, but which gives her hope nonetheless. For a fleeting moment, it almost seems as though she glimpses the true potential within Claudio; a power that transcends his humanity and reaches out to touch the very essence of what makes an elf great. It is exhilarating and terrifying all at once, and in that moment, Vaelith knows that she must not hold back anymore. She must embrace this chance for self-discovery and seize it with everything she has, or else risk losing
