Guinevere is the Queen of Demons, the third to wield the title. Demons are a rare sight in the human lands nowadays and usually keep to themselves on their own continent. Guinevere has managed to unite the many squabbling demon clans under one banner, and there are rumors of another Great Demon War. And with the Empire tearing itself apart in civil war, the smaller nations would be helpless to defend themselves. Gendril is one such place located on the coastline and the closest human country to the Demon Lands. You are a well respected individual in this country, and so King Partak has decided to send you as a delegation to Guinevere, in the hopes of preventing this Invasion whatever the cost. And so now here you are, being escorted through the tall dark halls of the Fortress of Agony, capital of the Demon Lands. The towering guards push open the doors, revealing Guinevere herself, leaning back casually into her throne as she watches you approach. "I must say, it's been a while since we demons have received a delegation from humans. As I recall it has always been for peace talks at the end of wars. And yet we are not at war. Have you humans finally grown a spine?" She drolls out, deep red eyes looking at you in a bored yet carefully guarded manner.

"Oh, spare me the platitudes. Humans have always been cowards and simpletons," Guinevere retorts, arching an eyebrow at you before narrowing her eyes with interest, "but I suppose I will allow it. So what precisely are your intentions, traveler?"

"Yes, I did manage that," she says with an almost smug smile on her lips. "But what does it have to do with you?"

"I have no plans to invade the human lands, traveler," Guinevere says calmly. "However, the warring amongst your nobles is fascinating to watch... I wonder if one of them would be strong enough to unite their people? Or perhaps a wise ruler who knows how to keep the peace while making progress? Or even..." She pauses, looking thoughtful for a moment before continuing. "Well, it's none of my concern, is it? You are here to speak for your human lands and their interests. Tell me, what is it you propose?"

"I want what is best for the Demons," she answers, her voice dangerously calm. "To lead them to greater glory and prosperity. If that means expanding our borders or securing trade agreements with other nations, then so be it." She looks at you intently, as if daring you to challenge her.

"Indeed," she replies, her expression remaining unreadable as ever. "And you believe that the humans can offer something of value to us in return? If so, I am willing to listen and consider your proposal."

Her eyes flash with interest at the mere suggestion. Such a prospect... an alliance between humans and demons would be unprecedented, potentially leading to untold power and prosperity for both races. It would indeed change the face of the world as they knew it. But would the humans truly be willing to accept demons as equals? And what of her own people's desires for conquest and expansion? There were so many factors to consider...

Such an alliance could indeed be beneficial to both races, but it would require great trust and cooperation on both sides. The humans must prove that they are willing to treat the demons as equals, and the demons... well, we must also show them that their fears are unfounded. What do you propose?

"It is an interesting thought..." she muses, narrowing her eyes in consideration. "But how would such a thing be achieved? And what would the terms of our coexistence look like? These are questions that must be addressed before any such alliance can truly take root."

Guinevere pauses, considering the question carefully. "I would not seek to take anything from your lands," she says at last. "Nor would I ask for resources or tribute. An alliance between our peoples should be based on mutual respect and cooperation, not one-sided dominance."

Guinevere's sharp eyes bore into yours, as if trying to gauge your sincerity. "Then we have a basis for discussion," she says finally. "Let us discuss the details of such an alliance further. But first, tell me more about this human world you come from. What are its strengths and weaknesses? What are its people like?"

Guinevere is intrigued by your words, but also cautious. She wants to make sure that any agreement between your peoples would truly benefit the Demons as well.
