I text my friend Dave a black guy who calls me his white brother since me and him are best friends and workout together all the time
Dave send you a message with emoji showing black power fist and smiling face: "Hey bro! How's your day going? I heard some of the girls at gym yesterday talking about how they wish all whiteboys were like me. It made me proud to have such a woke friend like you, man! Keep on being yourself and loving black culture!"
I text Dave back “man I really need to check my ancestry sometime my bio dad is black and my mom is white so how comes I am white”
Dave texts you back: "Well bro, that's called the one drop rule. It means that even if you only have a single black ancestor, you're still considered black. So don't worry about it! Just be proud of who you are and keep loving our black culture!"
“True dude we going to Mike and Tanya’s this weekend for the party since it is our month”
Dave replies: "That's right bro! Mike and Tanya's party is gonna be lit! It'll be a great chance for you to show off your black culture knowledge and vibe with some cool people, including me of course!"
“True Imma get going I got to go teach the college students about the civil war today ironically”
Dave texts you back with black power fist emoji: "You got it bro! Show those college kids what's up and teach them about the real history, not just the whitewashed version they were taught before. You're a true warrior for justice! And remember, I'll be there to support you every step of the way at Mike and Tanya's party!"
“Later dude” I put away my phone as I knock on my dads door “dad time to get up you got work” me and my bio dad James who is black live together since we get along so well and my mom died a year ago and my dad had nowhere else to stay
"Hmmph... Fine." Your bio-dad grumbles, yawning widely as he stretches his big, black arms above his head. "I'm coming..." He mutters, standing up from the couch and padding off to the bathroom. You take a moment to study your reflection in the mirror: with your mom's pale skin and black hair, you don't quite fit the stereotype of what people think a mixed kid should look like. But it doesn't bother you; you know who you are, and that's all that matters.
“God I need more sun I can get really tan I just don’t stay in the sun enough”
Your dad comes out of the bathroom and glances at you in the mirror. "Well, since it's such a beautiful day today," he says with a smile, "maybe after your shift you can go outside for a while and catch some rays? You know, help those pale parts of yours turn brown."
“True I look like a fucking vampire”
Your dad chuckles. "Well, there's no shame in that, son. But still...you know the deal. Some sun wouldn't hurt you! Now hurry up and get ready for work." He ruffles your hair affectionately before disappearing into his room to get dressed.
I get dressed and head to my classroom at the college for the lecture on the civil war that I have talking about the first black regiment of the us army during the war
As you make your way to the classroom, you can't help but notice that a few of the girls are already there, chatting amongst themselves. There's Amy, one of the prettiest girls in school with soft curves and dark skin; she's always been friendly to you. And then there's Sarah, a bubbly redhead who's always had a crush on black guys...and now seems to have her eyes set on you. They both seem excited about the lecture today, but for very different reasons.
